Tucked between the stone alleys of the Gothic Quarter lies a true musical treasure. Harlem blues and jazz club oozes soul — from the dim lighting and vintage decor to the raw, powerful talent on stage. No gimmicks, no fluff — just real music played by seriously skilled musicians who live and breathe the craft.

My Wife and I came to Barcelona and stayed for a couple of days (enroute to a 7-day Mediterranean Cruise). We're here to celebrate her 50th Birthday. The Harlem Jaz Club came highly recommended from our Hotel Concierge. We Absolutely enjoyed ourselves. The jazz trio was phenomenal. The vibes were great and the staff were magnificent. We highly recommend that any and everyone come and visit this wonderful venue.

We had a great time at Harlem Jazz Club. The house band was fantastic, and it was fun to watch other musicians come up and jam. Great music, great vibe, great energy.

A lot of fun. Blues night turned into impromptu talent taking the stage. Incredible musicians and singers made for a great night of dancing and toe-tapping. For 10 euros a head, the cover is reasonable and the drinks are pretty cheap!

Google
Cool venue which had a fantastic band on when we visited on a Saturday night. They were on at 2300 and we got there about 2215. All the seats at the front with tables were taken but they had two small rows of chairs behind these which still had a great view. The band did two sets and by the time they were on there were plenty of people standing at the back. Sound was excellent and the bar service was quick and pleasant. €3.90 for a lovely draught Estrella. Well worth the €15 ticket price!

Google
Harlem Jazz Club in Barcelona is an absolute gem for jazz lovers! The intimate atmosphere, fantastic acoustics, and top-tier live performances create an unforgettable experience. The musicians are incredibly talented, and the vibe is always lively and welcoming. Whether you’re a jazz aficionado or just looking for a great night out, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend

Google
Cozy jazz club with a relaxing atmosphere. We arrived about an hour before the show and we’re able to get tickets. There is a bar and seating with or without a table. The performance was fantastic with a good sound system to support them. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This jazz club offers a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere that’s perfect for unwinding. Despite arriving late for the show, we were able to secure tickets without any hassle. The venue features a variety of seating options, both at the bar and at tables, catering to different preferences. The performance itself was absolutely fantastic, backed by an excellent sound system that made every note resonate beautifully. Adding to the experience, the staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring our evening was as smooth as the jazz being played. Highly recommended for an enjoyable night out!

Yelp
The wine is gross. The music is great. Amazing house band, wicked on stage talent, stellar crowd, friendly staff - what more could you want? More superlatives?

Yelp
We had a great time last night with the house band and many others that signed up to get on stage. Show starts at 10:30 and goes till 1am. 7 Euros is not a bad price to pay for live entertainment. Very talented artists. Friendly staff. It was a bit hard to find but so worth it!!!

Yelp
Loved it. Went there for a New Years show where they played live salsa and other excellent music. Great ambiance and affordable prices. Metro and bus accessible.

Yelp
Went here on a Tuesday night when visiting Barcelona. We paid 8 Euros for entry and the only seats left were at the bar with limited view of the stage. The bartender was slow and rude. She seemed to be much more friendly to the locals that were sitting at the bar. When I asked for the WiFi password she pointed to the wall and said it's right there. That password didn't even work but I was too afraid to ask her again. I do not recommend spending time or money at this place.

Yelp
We can here on a recommendation from a barista in the city and were not disappointed. We had to pay a cover, and though I grumbled a bit about handing over 10 euros, this feeling went away as soon as the band started. The quality of jazz band was incredible, so good that it made me wonder if I was listening to a recording (I wasn't). I get the impression that this bar attracts really good bands (from reading other reviews). Don't sweat the cover charge, you're bound to have a great time.

Yelp
Hmm... cool enough atmosphere. Band sounded a bit too funky. Young band, and what I would expect at a local California dive bar, where they play for tips. Older crowd- 30-50, easy drinking, tipsy off a couple beers.

Yelp
I've gone to a lot of blues jams in Chicago and overseas. This one stands out due to the size and youth of the crowd. The house band is excellent. Definitely would come again.

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday and the experience was good overall; I think it was jam session night. I'd say about a third of the people there got up and played on stage at some point during the night, but everyone who played was fun to watch and had a pretty good level. The music: I'd say a lot of it had the sound of the Saturday Night Live band cerca that time Clinton played saxophone on national television and it was awesome. Not as traditional as I was expecting, but all the same two days later I woke up with their rendition of "Tell me Something Good". 6 euros to get in and comes with a drink. The next drink(s) are cheaper (like 3 euros); I'm not sure if it merits it's über expensive rating. There aren't many seats so if you want to sit better to get there around 10 when things are getting started. I'll definitely be back at some point!

Yelp
This place is horrible. There was a live band, but they not good. It was boring. I was trying to speak Spanish to the bar tender and she was really mad. Then she knew we were tourist and charged us for extra things that I did not ask for. I asked her for a receipt of the things I that I ordered and she yelled at me in Spanish. I just said "whatever take my money don't be mad at me" so overall this place is not wroth it. Not ever go there. It ruined my experience in Barcelona.

Yelp
Good show, great crowd. Not quite what I was hoping for but you can't complain when you get live music. I see the potential in this place. Get there early...it fills up quick.

Yelp
Highly recommended place to go for locals and tourists! I've been living in Barcelona for about 2 years now and this place never gets old. And now, I'm fortunate enough to even live next door :) Each night there is a different band playing live music ranging from salsa cubana, jazz, swing, etc. Great place to go for drinks, good music, and dancing.

Yelp
Went here a couple of summers ago, the place is located in the old town but is safe. Try to get there early for a seat as the place gets crowded. Drinks were reasonable and the crowd was a mature mixture of locals and tourists. I had a great time and the Latin Jazz band that evening was excellent. The Cuban lady behind the bar was a bar nazi.

Yelp
Loved this club. I was here for a work trip with a couple personal days to enjoy Barcelona. Found this place using Yelp and it did not disappoint. Great vibe and friendly crowd. Drink prices were very reasonable. Will definitely come again next time I am in Barcelona.

Yelp
Great place! Fantastic live music, DJs, drinks and staff on this legendary Barcelona joint. Jazz, blues, world, Latin, americana and sometimes rock. If you want the real Barcelona, this is the place to go.

Yelp
What an amazing place, we had a lot of fun there. Went on a Thursday night at 10pm and the atmosphere was joyful. The music was chilling and the people had a good mood. The drinks are a little bit expensive in comparison to other BCN standards but still worth it considering the amazing atmosphere. Everybody looking for some great live music should hit this place.

Yelp
First time in Europe in May! Was thrilled to find this small gem of a Jazz Club in the Gothic Section directly outside of my Hostel. The band was much better than recent visits to the legendary Green Mill in my hometown of Chicago. The band was teetering on the edge of the dreaded Smooth Jazz at the start of their set, but quickly ascended to traditional Jazz and excellent solos. Soulful. Nice mixed crowd, and a great option for a night out if you are not up to pub crawling. There are hundreds of reviews of "Harlem" on Google so I guess it has a rep.

Dale F.

Yelp
This place has amazing musicians, always. Great international jams featuring Chino And The Big Bet Swing Band. A must see if in Barcelona. Get there at 10:15pm.

Yelp
Awesome shows, nice space, great mixed crowd of people who are mostly local but quite international and diverse in ages. Only con? 3.90 for a small draft beer.

Jason C.

Yelp
An intimate jazz club that appears to be quite popular. It's located in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. A great place to spend a few hours before heading out at night.

Helena M.

Yelp
One of the best life music clubs in europe.. Good music, funk, soul, blues, jazz and latin, specially the blues jam sessions every thuesday, only for 7 euro the ticket with a glas wine or a beer. Friday and saturday they pass cuban music and after the show djs to late... If you like the life music, if you like Barcelona, you must visit the Harlem jazz Club in the heart of the city, the Gothic quarter

adam s.

Yelp
Cool little place, great music, cheap admission & drinks (NOT expensive).

Yelp
Heard some of the worst live music I've ever heard here. We paid 7 euros to get in and left after two songs because the lead singer literally could not hit a single note. The venue itself is meh. If you want good jazz/ good atmosphere, go to the real Harlem.
