I've never been to the actual store, so this review is based on ordering over the internet and email exchanges. Not sure if they actually make their own cheese, or just sell cheese from local producers. I ordered cheeses from them in Dec 2022, and the cheese didn't have any cooler packs, it was just in a carboard box, and I got food poisoning from the Taylor Brothers cheese. The other two cheeses were good, but not outstanding, and only lasted about two weeks in the fridge before going moldy.
This year they cancelled my order because I asked for cooling packs to be with the cheeses during shipment, but the owner sent me a link stating it's not required to use cooling packs.
So instead, this year I ordered from Plymouth Artisan Cheese which is in Plymouth, Vermont, just the next state over. My Dad took our family there many years ago. They make their own cheese, and ship it properly, and quickly, unlike Sugar Hill. The cheese arrived in 2-3 days, and had several cooling packs in the insulated bag along with the cheeses. That's the proper way to ship cheese, IMO. I suppose if you are in the area it would be interesting to check out the Sugar Hill store, but I wouldn't order cheese to be shipped from them to any states other than the northern New England states.
