Harold's Seafood

Perfect location for some quality fish & chips. We had the Seaside Pack, 2 fish, 2 prawn, 2 scallops, 2 calamari & chips. $45 ideal meal for two. The fish is a good size & nicely cooked, crispy batter & delicious. The scallops are large & very nice. The chips are great especially with some chicken salt. With the essential tartare sauce & lemon wedges in total about $50. I see some reviews claiming this place is overpriced but this is total nonsense. You wouldn't spend much less at McDonalds these days for 2 people & you would be far worse off. Perfect location, friendly service with short wait time. I can highly recommend Harolds especially for a take away. The food is wrapped up well & will stay hot so take a short walk & find a spot near the water & enjoy.

Great feed, I had the fisherman’s basket. Best fish n chips meal I have had in a long time. The staff were very friendly. Will be back

We ordered combo 2 and also 6 prawn cutlets. Great big piece of fish, thick chips and real prawns in the cutlets! Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

Worst fish & chips ever!!!! Expensive, rip off. Ordered the family pack paid around $70 yes $70 had to pay for the public holiday surcharge & also had to pay for lemon wedges as well - come on! The grilled fish was like rubber would be the cheapest fish maybe basa & the calamari was horrible! There were too many chips we threw them out. Soooo bad, don’t bother going. will be ringing the store tomorrow to speak to management - but I doubt it would make a difference. I really wonder how this shop still exists in the main strip of North ward with this bad quality food. If I could give no stars I would.

I had fish and chips at Harold's Seafood and it was absolutely delicious — one of the best I’ve ever had! The batter was perfectly fried, super crispy and not greasy at all. You can tell they really care about quality. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. On top of that, the location is amazing — right by the ocean, with a beautiful view. I’d recommend this place without hesitation!

Grabbed some take away. Phone ordered then picked up. Fresh, generously sized fish, and calamari. After reading some poor reviews we thought about not ordering. I'm glad we ordered anyway. Part way through dinner, I remembered to grab a picture. I would happily order another meal from there again..

Without a doubt, this is the best place in Townsville for fish and chips, and seafood of all kinds. They also have a wide variety of burgers available too!! The staff are lovely and friendly, and the outdoor seating with views to Magnetic Island cannot be beaten. 5 thumbs up!! 👍 👍👍👍👍

Harold's is under new management and they're trying hard to lift their game. We had fish and chips. The fish was nice and crispy, the thicker part of the fillet was cooked nicely but the thin edge was a bit overdone. (Make sure you ask for Spanish Mackerel.) The chips were decent and generous. Condiments are all quite expensive, like tartare and lemon, which is a small let down. Overall, very good!
