Good location but fell short in other ways. I assumed that hotels are subject to Inspection and regulation, but apparently not. Beds were good. But the room seemed to have been converted from a single to a double without much thought as to layout. The only wardrobe was too close to one of the beds to allow easy access to either occupant. There were no hooks, rails or racks in the room or bathroom to allow for towels or clothes or bags or shoes, which had to be strewn about the floor. The free WiFi was never available despite repeated requests. We did get the microwave when we asked for it. The TV was good, as was the air-conditioning. There was plenty of hot water which was good. We had to ask for soap.

The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels were clean, Wi-Fi service was good and the hotel was conveniently located for what I had planned. The room itself and the common areas could have been cleaner, but for around $75 USD per night for a three-night stay, I got what I paid for.

Well it's all about the experiences.. yesterday was an "experience" I plan to share with you all. ||Harringtons102 in Hobart is certainly not the place to stay! We looked for somewhere close to The Odeon Theatre, so we stupidly chose Harringtons102 - (will be doing our research next time). ||I can not say anything nice about the venue. ||The attached photos show our "freshly cleaned" room and bathroom. I ended up having to purchase some room fresheners to at least make the room smell nice. ||Oh, by the way, only 1 cup to have a morning cuppa. When enquired about getting another cup and a spoon to stir the cuppa, we were given more coffee sachets... no cup and no spoon... asked again for a cup and spoon, this time we were given wooden forks - as there's "no spoons"... and still no second cup! Finally, after at least a 30 minute wait, we got our second cup.. and still no freaking spoons!! |By the way, the flat screen TV doesn't work. The bed is uncomfortable, quilt cover stained, pillows are so thin it was like not having any pillows at all - but at least the sheets were clean! ||What an absolute joke Harringtons102! Don't waste your money!

Its clear after staying 1 night at Harringtons that they should be closed down its a serious health and safety issue. Filthy room filthy floor filthy bathroom mould black hairs on sheets filthy cups holes in walls also same state in corridoor. Dubious characters around frightening. Cooking smells loud music screaming knocking on walls no parking have to lug suitcase upstairs. Rarely anyone at reception. Complained to Hobart Council. Nothing done. Disgrace. Never again. Ruined my first visit to Tassy.

The room quite okay, nearby many restaurant including Indian and Chinese restaurant. Walking distance to city. Also near to the sky bus airport bus stop. Cons: no one at the counter to check in. You have to call the owner. Can use public phone to call the number at the counter. Overall, 👍

We just needed a single night of stay due to an unexpected flight cancellation. Our room was quite frankly gross. The shower area needs cleaning. The soap was a bit funky. Beds were bad hygiene (hairs and stains). All provided cups were unwashed and dirty. We found an underwear and crumbs beneath the bed, and the pillows in the closet I don't want to think about... I think if you're charging people to stay here, the room should be at least better cleaned for guests. See other reviewer's photos for reference.

This was an absolute stitch up of a place. Location was on point but it seems the hotel has been bought out by the Chinese restaurant and they absolutely do not give a shit about the rooms. We were in room 105/the suite room. Firstly we arrived at 3pm and no one was in reception. We then called the spare mobile number about 20 times on the door. We finally got a call back an hour and a half later giving us a key code. The person also then had our dates mixed up thinking we were checking out 2 days earlier than we actually were. From there things just got worse! We went into the rooms. They were messy as! Hair on the beds, a stain on the main room bedsheet, dirty dishes that stunk and mess under the table! We also had 2 x plates only for 3 of us. We asked them to bring us some breakfast bowls and bought us tiny fried rice bowls from the restaurant downstairs! They also never mentioned we needed a code to get back into the facility after 9pm. So we again had to call for this! And then as if it couldn’t get any worse on the final night the rain came. At 4am I was woken up to rain falling on the sill behind the main bed! The window sill got flooded and I had to put my towel on it to stop the noise. The curtains are held together with tarps and sticky tape! Overall the experience was shocking!

Very good value! Had a room two flights up above the excellent restaurant DingDings. Comfortable bed, clean room. Quiet- except for a few doors slammed by neighbors. Just a few blocks to shops, nice walk to the port. Close to Skybus stop #4 from airport. Very international guests while i was there 2 nights. Young woman at restaurant counter very helpful if no one at registration desk. From US, very happy to be able to spend a few days in Tasmania at this hotel.
