Small but very decent airport. Clean, well-organised, easy to navigate and kind, helpful staff. I first arrived at MDT in heavy snow and there was no problem with landing or infrastructure. Some shops on site, so you'll be good. It is connected to the city by public transport as well. Mostly domestic flights (Washington, Chicago, Denver, Dallas etc.) but for me it was more than enough.

Google
I live in Lancaster and it’s a short 25 minute drive you can park and walk to the gate in minutes. So convenient. Parking is easy and affordable at a daily rate of $20. They have a great little massage store in the Terminal by the Delta Gate. Also to note they have a Phillips Seafood Restaurant and a Subway.

My flight was canceled, there wasn't an agent to be found after going through TSA. I had to go back out and find an AA to assist me. And they weren't able to assist. I dislike AA so much right now.

I am incredibly disappointed with the performance of this airport yesterday evening, June 19, 2025. I had booked a flight for my sister from Cancun to Harrisburg, flying through Charlotte. When the plane arrived in Harrisburg yesterday at approximately 6:00 p.m., there apparently were no gates they could pull into. Therefore, the passengers had to wait until 8:30... 2 1/2 hours!! to be let off the plane. I cannot believe that it was not possible to make a gate available for them to disembark, especially since it was scheduled flight and a small jet, an Embraer ERG-145 which only seats 50 passengers at max capacity. But even when the passengers were finally let off the plane, it took another long period of time before they brought the bags into baggage claim. They had been pulled off the plane, but left on the tarmac for hours. This is truly an unacceptable administrative failure. Not only was my sister inconvenienced, but my brother who had traveled to pick her up was left waiting for her for over 3 hours. I would like to hear back on this review as to what the heck happened yesterday. Our family has been flying in and out of MDT for decades and I have never had anything like this happen before!

Google
It's a nice and such a convenient location. The workers are friendly. It would be nice if the airfare was a little cheaper like for the bigger airports. Parking is $20/day here which I think is quite steep. Long-term parking is available for $10 a day. There is a shuttle to take you to the airport. Nice big, clean bathrooms.

Google
Excellent experience, nice and hard working employees, clean airport. I’ll fly from here again

Easy in and easy out! Clean facilities and friendly staff. Small line at TSA but no big deal. Love these smaller airports for the simplicity.

Google
Small airport, however you must shuttle from long term parking. I prefer State College due to the shorter drive, but HIA works when it is cheaper.

Yelp
This is probably the smallest airport I have ever been in. There are not many food options, but I love the short walk from the gate to the baggage claim and the TSA to the gate.

Yelp
I'll begin by saying I fly ALOT... from coast to coast and everywhere in between but in the last several months, Harrisburg International (MDT ) has been the airport I most frequent and I must admit it's one of my FAVORITE in the country! It's small, it's convenient, it's well lit with very clear signage... THey offer TSA precheck lane and the staff are all friendly and pleasant unlike some other airports. From check in and departures to arrivals and baggage claim, SUPERB!!! Food options include Subway, Aunt Anne's, Dunkin' and 2 restaurants including a bar which are all open very early. The main gift shop located directly passed security even sells water for only $1.50!!! Where in the country (besides Costco food court lol) can you get a water for that!?? In my last 10 trips out of MDT, I've only had one - 15 min delay which the pilot made up for once in the air. 10/10 and one of my favorite domestic airports... Right up there with SNA and ABQ. My only complaint is that bags take quite some time which is frustrating but that's the airlines fault, not the airports...

Yelp
Dedicating my first review of 2024, my 801st review, and my first review as a Black Elite to The Keystone State's capital airport. Anyone who has multiple grievances with this airport clearly hasn't traveled frequently out of major international airports. My biggest complaint about MDT is that it is so damn expensive to fly in or out of. The main airlines currently serving MDT are United, American, and Delta, hence the pricey flights and slim chance of you getting to your final destination without a layover. Allegiant and Frontier also serve MDT. However, these are my 2 least favorite airlines because of delays and cancellations, but the price is usually right. MDT is so convenient if you're traveling to South Central PA. You don't have to deal with all the hassle or traffic of getting to and from PHL or BWI. The airport is so small, which I love. With or without TSA Precheck, you will usually be through security in no time. There are 3 connected terminals, and you can walk them all in less then 15 mins at a leisurely pace. There are several food, drink, or snack options, a PA gift shop, a Hudson News, even a massage place.

Yelp
Love small airports! So easy to drop off or pick up and to fly out of or into. Security is usually pretty quick and with only a handful of gates you won't need to get here 3 hours early to walk to your gate. Cramer Airport Parking is a great lot to use for long term parking. It's close to airport and has a shuttle pick you up at your car and right to the airport. And you can join their loyalty program for discounts etc. Free car wash too!

Yelp
Harrisburg Airport is great! However, they should know that one person working the Dunkin is not in the best interest of their customers. This should not be acceptable to the airport standards.

Yelp
I'm from Huntsville, Alabama - perhaps the easiest international airport to navigate in the country - a whopping 10 gates. If Huntsville is the easiest then Harrisburg must be number two. It's three terminals may sound intimidating but each terminal is only 5 gates. Every gate is just a short walk from security. Let's talk about security for a sec. Easy-peasy. There are two lanes - 1 for precheck and one for the poor souls who have to take their shoes off. At this point, you can go through security from the left or right. Both areas are tight, the line often wraps around a corner and there is ALWAYS a bottleneck. They really need to rethink the layout. Even so, clearing security is relatively quick, simply because of the low passenger load. I guess I'm describing the airport backwards...let's backup to check-in. Each airline has it's own counter but none have more than a few spaces meaning it doesn't really matter what door you enter from the drop off. Getting to the airport....It's a pretty straight shot from Harrisburg and Lancaster. Just a quick note, if you miss the west bound exit to the airport, DON'T take the on ramp to the turnpike. (This is for you Missie!! LOL). Just as getting TO your gate is easy, getting FROM the gate is just as easy - walk past a couple of gates, take the escalator downstairs and quickly grab your bags. I've never waited more than 10 minutes for my bags. Once again, it doesn't matter which door you exit the airport from - the pickup area is easily walkable. A little more info about MDT: there are plenty of restaurants available for meals, snacks and drinks. Be warned though - they aren't open early enough if you have a crack of dawn flight. There are plenty of restrooms and they have always been clean. And what I think is an incredible feature - each terminal has a "nursing pod" - a quiet area for mom to breastfeed or pump. I sure wish they had these in the 90's. Because I can always rely on a family member to pick me up/drop me off, I can't talk to airport parking nor rental cars. I would imagine they are just as easy as everything else. All of this goodness does come at a price. MDT is one of the most expensive airports in the country. My home airport is the MOST expensive in the country so I don't get up here as much as I should. There are not a ton of direct flights on the major airlines but there are several low budget airlines that offer unusual city-pairs. Although I had to drive 100 miles, I found a round trip from Nashville for $87 on Allegiant - that's hard to beat. Harrisburg is quite an enjoyable airport to travel to and from. If you end up being early (EVEN after taking a little detour on the turnpike), there are many places to kill some time. I'd like to recommend Sensory Massage - a small little spa on terminal A. This sounds like a paid advertisement but please read my review - from now on, I will always being early for my flight. May angels fly with you wherever you roam and guide you back safely to family and home. Godspeed.

Yelp
I love small airport because they usually are quick to get in and out of. This airport is small. Three terminals, but each terminal has a few gates. Terminal A 3 gates, terminal B 6 gates, and terminal C has 3 gates. I was here around 5am in the morning and there were a decent amount of people, but it still was a quick process through security. I also have TSA pre check (which I highly recommend), but even if I didn't it wasn't a long line. There are not a lot of options for places to eat, but there is enough of what you would need. I did not have a car to park, but I did have a rental car and the drop off/pick up for the rental car place is right by the airport (baggage and tickets). I appreciate that because some airports the rental car place is far. Even though this is a small airport it is an international one. Definitely a convenient airport to fly in and out of for that area.

Yelp
KUDOS to the ebags staff for providing supreme quality customer service at Harrisburg International Airport! I got assistance with wheelchair assistance and they took me to baggage claim to get my bag so I can get my transportation to Wounded Warrior Project ODYSSEY there in Gettysburg, PA! I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business!

Yelp
I've flown into Philadelphia international airport before but as fate would have it, I now have flown into Harrisburg international airport. East PA and central PA. Crazy, ain't it? What's left is West PA, which is none other than Pittsburgh, but that's another trip to be realized. For this trip to Harrisburg, I was happy that Harrisburg had an airport with commercial passenger service. And so, I flew from Chicago to Harrisburg on a brisk Friday morning on basically Memorial Day weekend 2023. Upon arrival, the airport was small enough to where I got in and out of this regional airport - not international, within 15 minutes. 20 if you needed the restroom facilities and pick up a Starbucks in the terminal before exiting. The airport was large enough to accommodate everyone and had about 10 or so gates within 2 terminals. It was clean and definitely felt small town vibes compared to the larger airport hubs. For the most part though, it was nice to come here to central Pennsylvania and thankful that the city of Harrisburg does have an airport with commercial airline passenger service instead of driving from Philadelphia or Pittsburgh. The experience here was nice and grateful to still be doing this. The overall experience here at the Harrisburg regional airport was good and nice. Exiting and entering was good too, especially when you have a 6:30 AM flight and the ride to the airport was pretty interesting. It is a small airport after all, so the dining options are quite limited, but you can have your basic coffee shops and grab&go options like any other airport out there bear minimum. There is not a lot of places to charge your phone or mobile device, but they are. Best thing to do is to get a phone charger power bank and don't expect to have the plane have in seat power for you either since it's not guaranteed. I had a power bank juiced up and ready to go, so I did not need to have to charge my phone at the airport. Just in case. Best thing to have is the TSA pre check so you can get thru security pretty quickly versus the regular way. I enjoyed the small regional airport experience especially when it is easy to get in and out of the airport. Only thing about Harrisburg airport is that the rental car pick up area and the Uber / Lyft pick up area is located in a building literally next door. You'd have to leave the main terminal building and cross the street to make it there. All in all, a nice regional airport to fly into if you are flying in for business or pleasure. Or just passing thru. The Harrisburg regional airport is located at 123 Main Street and basically sits next to the city of Harrisburg without much separation from the city and the airport area, which is interesting. Many of the airport's merchants accept major credit cards, as well as the airlines who use credit cards for ticketing and other fees. They have a public parking garage that commuters can use for parking needs. They have a small but I adequate rental car facility. Maybe 4 rental car companies here to accommodate all travelers coming into Harrisburg. Don't be like my friend who traveled to Harrisburg on Amtrak and attempted to pick up a rental car. No can do, unfortunately. Not sure if Public transportation service, the Harrisburg international airport, but for most convenience, rental car, or Uber/left would help you with that task. If you want to, check the Harrisburg, public transportation system, and see if you can try to get a ride on their mass transit to and from the airport to wherever you need to go. For the most part though, my brief time in Harrisburg was nice and it was great to have an airport here in Harrisburg so I did not have to drive from Pittsburgh or Philadelphia. Fly high! 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Clean and safe for everyone. Support local! A+

Yelp
A nice small little airport in the rural part of Pennsylvania. I had to fly in here to get to Lititz, PA and it sure is a small city airport. It looks like there are only a number of flights that come and go every day with very limited airlines. The good thing about small airports though, is that the TSA lines are usually really short. I flew out of here and it had a really short security line, PLUS they also have TSA Pre-Check! There's nothing too fancy about this airport; it gets the job done of getting people in & out of the airport. I don't know if I'll fly here again considering there's nothing around and I was only here for work, but it was a nice little place to visit for sure!

Yelp
If you can avoid PHL please fly out of here. This is my go to airport for flights in the US. I hate Philly international along with BWI with a burning passion. When I have to use them I do. But Harrisburg is actually a fun place to fly out of and the parking is super cheap. I avoid NYC at all costs unless my company wants to pay for a car to take me there and even then I still try to find a reason to avoid that.
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
TSA Precheck means nothing here, they have a "line" but you are basically in the general line and the TSA agents are a joke. Show up with far more time than you would with a regular airport.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
I had no issues with this airport. Their bag claim staff is incredibly fast. My bag was waiting for me by the time I got there. Check in was easy and they have a Starbucks after security. That worked out well. I had the 6am flight and Starbucks was open at 5am!
google avatar

Tan N.

Yelp
Easy to checking in and out. Small but friendlier. Hopefully near the future people can fly straight from here to Asia. .
google avatar

Candice H.

Yelp
Had to pay for an extra bag because the clerk at the check in register my husband's bag underneath my mother's name. Hopefully we can dispute the charge but probably are out $80. I even questioned the charges to the clerk but he just dismissed me like I was bothering him. It was 3:30 am
google avatar

Jeremy T.

Yelp
Wow, this is this is international airport? There aren't many departure/arrival gates, baggage claim is easy to find. Rental cars are across the street from baggage. Overall, my experience here was average. I don't have many terrible things to say, but also dont have many great things to say either.
google avatar

Jack K.

Yelp
It was a breeze arriving and departing from this airport. A much smaller airport that isn't crowded on a Thanksgiving week of travel was a blessing.
google avatar

Cindy J.

Yelp
I love flying out of MDT. Super small airport, I've never had a long wait in the TSA line. Highly recommend TSA precheck, you get to keep your shoes on and your laptop in your bag. Not a huge food selection, but I'm just here to hop on a plane.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
It's an airport! Smaller in size but American, Delta an United fly in and out along with some smaller airlines. Plenty of long term parking as well as daily and there are a few new hotels locally.
google avatar

Brian S.

Yelp
I typically fly in and out of Philly and just drive to the Harrisburg area but on this particular trip I had no nonstop flights to Philly. So I decided if I had to connect anyway I would be better off just flying into Harrisburg. The flight in was great, our baggage got to the carrousels quickly and the rental cars are just right across the road. I didn't partake in any of their food or drink options while at the airport but there were plenty options around. On my flight out I got unlucky and my flight was delay and then canceled due to weather. They had no other flights going to where I needed to until 2 days later. Luckily airport staff helped me rebook a flight out of the Philly later that day. Very nice and helpful airport staff. The one big draw back to these smaller airports is they tend to delay or cancel their flights much earlier then the larger airports. Nice small airport but tons of destination options including international. Will fly through again in the future.
google avatar

Hanna L.

Yelp
I've traveled through this airport about four times now and it has never been a good experience. The lines are painfully slow to get through security, despite there not being many people traveling through. It's a very small airport so you don't have to walk far to your gate, but just the staff alone make me dread coming through this airport.
google avatar

Alvin H.

Yelp
Clean and neat small airport. Easy to get in and out. They have a few sit down food choices. Charging stations are in each terminal along with work stations.

Stephen M.

Yelp
This is a very small airport. Our airlines counter did not open until two hours until the flight time. However, it is very customer service oriented and people are friendly. There's very little traffic and the parking is excellent. The downside is there is not a variety of flights to and from this airport so you're limited on flight arrivals and departures.. The food and beverage choices are minimal. However, they are adequate. Given a choice of driving one hour to Harrisburg airport versus an hour and a half to BWI, I prefer the Harrisburg airport.
google avatar

Lorraine N.

Yelp
I wish all airports were this easy to navigate and efficient. Great experience. Went in the door for my flight I was able to get right thru security with mobile check-in. Not too far to walk to the gates AND they had a Starbucks. What a great way to start my vacation.
google avatar

Cass O.

Yelp
Small airport easy to get around. Staff is nice enough. There is a lot to say since this airport is so small. All air ports sucks, but due to its small size it sucks a little less.
google avatar

Aaron S.

Yelp
Solid 4.25, detractors being limited food and shopping selections and occasionally long lines at security due to understaffing at peak times. This is a hidden cost of flying out of here, but a $25 Uber ride each way and not having to drive to Baltimore or Philly makes this a great option for locals. Especially more so now that there are more airline routes from here than there have been in a while. I'm flying to Ft Lauderdale round trip (on multiple airlines, 1 connecting flight each way through the Kiwi app) for $225. The time spent with connecting flights is no different than a direct flight driving to another airport, so this is a win for me. Parking is expensive here and I'll just spend $50 on an Uber. That's another detractor. There's long term parking, but it's a crappy bus ride away. It's not like we have any other local options for airports, so fly HIA!

Charlie B.

Yelp
Would pick 4.5 instead of 4.0 stars but Yelp does not allow that. Harrisburg has a lot of positives but for me it's a good to very good airport....not excellent. Not a 5. First what is a 5 ...easy to get to. Clean. Newish. Lot of flights for small airport. The Fairfield Hotel located on site is a wonderful option for early morning flights. Now, what it not 5 about MDT..the lack of food options. There are absolutely no food options during the day for outside of gates. Even the restaurant/bar at Fairfield does not open until dinner time. Another negative is cost of flights to MDT on legacy airlines tends to often be significantly higher than other area airports e.g. PHL, DCA, BWI, IAD.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Super nice airport & since it's on the smaller side it was easy to navigate. Seems that all the restaurants are still closed though due to COVID-19. Kudos to the cleaning staff because it was spotless and I didn't even see a full trash can anywhere. The floors had a nice sheen as well. I really loved the center of the airport next to tsa where they have millions of tiny tiles that create this stunning star. It's incredible

Stacey S.

Yelp
Great airport for teenagers who don't fly much. Not busy easy in and out no lines. Love flying out of MDT!
google avatar

Jd L.

Yelp
If you have an early flight none of the Kiosks open until 5:00 am. You better drink your coffee before you get to the airport.
google avatar

Denny K.

Yelp
3.75 Haven't been here for a few years and haven't missed much, although there are a few nice changes. Parking is easy, and being so small, getting around is a cinch. (I do miss the Linda Billet glass mosaic that used to hang on the windows of the crossover.) Amenities are adequate: 1. The omnipresent Hudson News with all the little goodies, news and magazines you need for your trip. 2. The prerequisite Starbucks 3. A decent Capitol Cafe with some food and a few very good draft beer selections, along with mixed drinks 4. A small food court with sandwiches 5. Auntie Anne's Pretzels 6. Phillips Seafood (this close to the Chesapeake they should....however is it true Blue Crab or something imported?) Nonetheless, this small hub is fine.
google avatar

Adam P.

Yelp
The good: Quick check in Long term parking isn't too bad. Relatively clean. Not too many food options but they are ok! The bad: Flight delays. Making connections. Seems like in the grand scheme of things airlines don't mind screwing Harrisburg passengers. Limited direct flights to anywhere.

Annabelle A.

Yelp
Customer service is very rude and made me feel like I was an inconvenience the who time. I've never been on a plane or even in an airport so I was just visiting to see what it was like and they were not helpful at all.
google avatar

Karlo G.

Yelp
An airport that is not heavily utilized. I love walking into an airport where wait times are minimal (including TSA lines). Though it may not be the norm for many places it is nonetheless a dream for most travelers. Harrisburg International was able to fulfill this dream of mine. There were no cars in the drop off area, no lines at any ticket counters and no lines at the TSA checkpoint. I literally got to my gate within 3 minutes. The airport design is modern and spacious. Though lacking in food options and a reliable wifi connection, it is still an easy airport to both arrive and depart from. There is no need for a map to see where the gates are located. The terminal has a center area that allows passengers to see down each hall. There are a couple of souvenir shops, a Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Subway and a couple of other food/bar places one can grab a quick snack. Facilities are clean and airport staff is very friendly. This is so far the most convenient airport I've flown in and out of.
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
So my mother has been admitted to the E.R in Lancaster. I'm flying in from Chicago. It's 11:30 at night. For 40 minutes, they forget to bring up the jetway. No way to get off of the plane. The pilot tried everything. Employees all over the tarmac. Can't blow a horn on an airplane! We just sat there for 40 minutes! Unbelievable!
google avatar

Joanna T.

Yelp
For a small airport, Harrisburg is really nice! It looks like the terminal is new or recently remodeled. There are only 10-12 gates but that means security, rental cars and baggage claim are a breeze to navigate. There's a TSA Precheck lane as well. Amenities wise there's a Subway, a Dublin Donuts, Auntie Annie's and one sit down seafood place that has a full bar. Restrooms were clean as were gate areas. I wish there were charging stations but overall, an easy airport to navigate.
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
Tickets out of Harrisburg International Airport can run a little more than flights out of larger area airports, like PHL or BWI, but it's worth the expense if you can swing it. Not only is the airport easier to get into and out of than the larger airports, but it offers similar conveniences, just on a smaller scale -- Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts coffee for your caffeine pick-me-up, and a couple restaurants/eateries for something more substantial than a bagel sandwich. Free wi-fi and charging stations at some of the restaurant tables are helpful while you wait for your flight. You won't have to walk a mile through security -- the lines are usually short, with the exception of some popular travel times -- and the terminals are all so close to the TSA checkpoint that you can grab a coffee at Starbucks in B gate and be back at your A or C gate for boarding in no time. Long-term parking is reasonably priced, and the free shuttle will drop you off right at the ticketing gates. Shuttle, TSA, and gate staff are all far friendly than you'll find at the larger airports, which is a huge bonus to me.
google avatar

Bruce K.

Yelp
I'm never a fan of airports that call themselves "International" when they're really just regional. And so I apologize for slighting MDT in that manner. It turns out that they have daily service for the 282 mile flight to Toronto/YYZ from here. Sorry! It's not a very large airport otherwise, but there are flights from here to the usual airline's hubs including American (Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Philadelphia), United (Chicago, Washington Dulles) and Delta (Atlanta, Detroit). As well, Allegiant flies here from Orlando/Sanford, St. Petersburg, Punta Gorda and Myrtle Beach. Southern Airways to Pittsburgh. So really, pretty decent service. There is a Philips Seafood inside security and the TSA does appear to have a Precheck queue. Rental cars are indoors. What's not to love?
google avatar

Bruce L.

Yelp
For an airport, it does the job. I flew in late one night found out it wasn't the most popular airport. Which can be a good thing. No traffic, no crowds, not a lot of waiting. On the other hand, the lack of traffic means there aren't many amenities. The airport is very dated and looks like it hasn't gotten a facelift since maybe the 80's. The signage outside looks very dated, as does the car park. On a Thursday night, it was an absolute ghost town. Creeeeeeeeeepy! Overall; for what it is, it does it's job with no fancy bells and whistles.

Ann M.

Yelp
Don't ever use the parking garage if you can avoid it. All the people who work for the garage are nasty AF, and they tell you they don't even work for the airport, as in, who cares about passengers needing to get picked up in the garage, because they aren't their problem- since they don't work for the airport. If you work for a ride sharing company, they have no mercy on you. The airport should want to encourage ride sharers to use their facility, to ensure their passengers are never stranded, meanwhile they force you up to the 3rd level to pick people up, then charge you money if you're 1 minute over their 10 minute time limit to exit, (driving at 1 mile an hour) and don't even leave with a passenger. The whole system sucks. After 3 bad experiences in a row, I'll never enter their garage again. And by the way, don't trust Uber to tell you exactly when planes come in and when there's a need for people to be picked up. Their info is wrong 50% of the time. Rides sharers should be allowed to wait for trips in the cell phone lot, so they aren't extorted by the parking garage villains, but no, can't do that because that would be too fair to drivers.

Yelp
A very convenient and user friendly airport. Security moves quickly. The airport is always clean and have not met an unfriendly staff member yet. Definitely beats the drive to Baltimore, Washington or Philly!!!

Yelp
This cute little quaint airport in Harrisburg PA, I had the pleasure to experience. This is a small airport with Delta, Allegiant, United, American Airlines, and Air Canada. I was rerouted here due to Deltas delay and my angst to get back home... so here I was. This tiny airport in a tiny plane, in a tiny city. When you're from Miami (or Texas) everything is bigger. Needless to say, there were no lines and a fast service. It was very clean, airy and crisp. Going through TSA was a breeze and I even was able to slide my Hershey's pie by for my plane snack. The bathroom was very clean and smelled like baby powder. Be warned they only had one restaurant....I know. It was located on the second floor and over looked the check in terminal. Pretty cool! Over great airport when dealing with my situation. Don't forget this airport exists. Located towards the middle of the state and a hell of a lot cheaper than State Colleges airport! 5 star! #thankmelater

Yelp
I've been to this airport 4 times now and it's my favorite because of how small it is. I guess I've only flown in/out of international airports prior to here and that's always been a pain. Each time I have only brought carry-ons so I can't speak to baggage claim or anything but gettin in and out is cake. It takes less than five minutes from getting off the plane to getting out of the airport. Check-in is also super fast. The agents are as helpful as any other airport so no complain there. If you're lucky, there's no line to go through TSA at all. Last time I was in line for only 10 minutes. Not a lot of food options but there's a Hudson and a Starbucks. I don't usually need much else. There's a decent size parking garage and designated spot for Uber/taxis to pick you up. Not sure what else I can say. I wish all airports were tiny and easy like this one.

Yelp
For a small regional airport - easy to fly out of. Nice garage. Hotel just added. Security is easy. Starbucks in the gate area. Join the Susquehanna Club if you fly a lot.

Yelp
Relatively small, clean, and efficient. Exactly how I like it especially when flying in past midnight during the workweek. Like most, I like to get in and out of airports as fast as possible. My only issue was their signage regarding the pick up location for Uber, Lyft, etc. passengers. I ended up taking the circuitous route no thanks to the ambiguous directions. In the end, it provided me the opportunity to get in some extra and much needed steps. With all the horse ship in the world, sometimes you've just got to look for the pony! Stay positive, my friends!

Yelp
When compared to other small airports, I think it falls somewhere between a three and four-star airport. It consists of three terminals -- United, Delta, and other small carriers -- and should only take less than ten minutes getting through security to your gate. Other things I love about MDT? Try finding a more organized and clean airport. Sure, it severely lacks decent food options, but if you visited Harrisburg, and the surrounding area correctly, you should have an Amish pie or two stuffed in your carry-on (so ya don't go hungry). But seriously, it lacks decent food options, and that's my only dig.

Yelp
My home base airport. Small but yet good connections to bigger airports like Orlando, Chicago and Atlanta. Getting though security is always a snap and run like a fine watch. Very clean and good selection of eatery's while your there. I really like the one gift shop the features local treats and sweets.

Yelp
I stay in Harrisburg but I flew out if this airport only 3 times, because of the flight timings. A very small airport . The airport staff is friendly and the security check is fast. American/Delta /United / frontier/ allieginat / air Canada have direct flights from here. Only few food/ coffee options in the terminals like Dunkin, subway, auntie Annie's and Starbucks.

Yelp
Harrisburg International Airport was the first airport I ever used, and the one that still feels most like home. I have fond memories as a little kid picking up relatives in the old airport and walking right out to the plane without a ticket. Times have changed. This is a brand new facility built near where the old one used to stand. It services the Harrisburg area and is actually located in Middletown, hence the MDT code. It is easy to get to from any city and town in the area by car; parking is ample but very overpriced. The new train station will also service the airport once it's complete. The terminal is divided into three sets of gates: A, B, and C. It couldn't be easier to find where you're going. Upon entry at street level, you'll find the check in desks on the right side of the building and baggage claim on the left. The building is modern and spacious with bright lighting. It's kept very clean and there are plenty of restrooms around. Check in is simple, especially if you do so online. To get to the security check and gates, you must go up to the second level. Here, you will find the mosaic of all things Pennsylvania. While beautiful, it's suffered some issues since its creation and cannot be walked on. Wood rocking chairs are around to keep you calm and relaxed. Security has a TSA Precheck line and a regular line; both are fast and efficient. There are some shops and restaurants beyond security, but all are much more expensive than those in the area. Boarding and departures are usually on time as it's a small airport. It services a few main airlines and goes to all the major hubs and some direct flights to popular vacation destinations. It's always easier to more relaxed to fly HIA than drive to the larger airports in the region.
