My wife and I headed to Harry's based on a family recommendation and the top rating on Trip Advisor. My catfish po boy was delicious! I bailed on the jalapeno tartar sauce - I asked for mayo on the side and mixed up my own low brow tartar with mustard (could have used some pickle relish to finish the job), which worked out wonderfully. The fish on the sandwich was very tasty. The fries it came with were really fresh. My wife has a cobb salad, which garnered her highest praise - she would order is again! Definitely worth a stop if you are in Santa Fe.

This restaurant was featured on the show Diners Drive-ins & Dives so we had to try it. It’s on the outskirt of Santa Fe but worth the drive. Upon pulling up the parking lot was completely full which was a good sign- we parked in an overflow area. There were about 30 people waiting in front of us but the restaurant can seat so many people that we only waited 25 minutes. There’s a good variety of food on the menu and huge selection of margaritas that are served with a small shaker & martini glass. We started with chips, salsa & guacamole. The salsa was amazing & we’ve eaten it all over the world - the guacamole was very fresh. I had a burger cooked medium with bacon & fries and it was excellent. My wife had the burrito and said it was the best she’s had. The pepperoni pizza was very basic but that’s expected.

Food is soulful and delicious. Atmosphere is not contrived. Patrons are just as colorful as the restaurant and food. I would be here weekly if only I lived in Santa Fe. I fell in love with this place! Thanks for introducing us Jared and Michelle!

Great spot, outdoor garden area is peaceful and spacious. Food is awesome. Forgot to take pictures before eating! Ground beef burrito, espresso brownie and ice cream Sandwich!

Fishtail your car into the parking lot, slam your doors and run into this place. The food is fantastic, Portions are a good size and the price is reasonable. The waitstaff are kind and attentive. The desserts are made in house fresh. Yesterday we ate at a fancy place downtown. It was more money and we got half the value (we had 2 soups, 2 entrees and 1 beer). Here we got 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, All were great and less money than yesterday at the fancy place downtown. Can’t say enough good things. PUT THIS ON YOUR LIST AS A MUST!!!

Wow! We just moved up the hill behind here and thought “why not give it a try?” and we were not disappointed. We’d checked out the menu online before going and thought it was pretty brave to try so many different cuisines, but what we had they pulled off was way beyond our expectations. There was a small (15 minute) wait on a Saturday night at 6:00 with no reservation. Once seated service was attentive and quick. The New Mexican Shrimp Taco appetizer with two tacos was the best I’ve ever had anywhere, hands down, Mexico included. I’ll go back and have a double order (though four is probably not needed). Nice crispy corn tortillas and perfectly seasoned shrimp. For entrees we had a great Mexican Chicken Soup and a local beef Burger with Fries. Unfortunately, as far as perfection goes, the soup was warm as were the fries, but seeing as there is constant personnel cruising by don’t dismay. They were easy to flag down and immediately, without question, took the soup and fries to be heated with great apologies. By the way, the person (management???) who took the soup and fries said to keep the burger while its hot. The burger (pictured) was a perfect medium rare as I had requested. I was also impressed that the sautéed mushrooms ($1.00 extra) had been sliced and pressed into the melted jack cheese ($1.00 extra) so they didn’t fall off while eating. I started on the burger A few minutes later hot soup and fresh fries (a whole side order) showed up with apologies. Everything was perfect. My hats off to the owners who committed to making fries as everyone should. No frozen fries here. House cut potatoes and double fried just like in Belgium. How many restaurants can spend so much time on entrees and serve frozen fries is beyond me. Seeing as we live close I’ll be back to try EVERYTHING!!!

Really adorable place, we stopped here while on a road trip from Denver to Tucson and has multiple super friendly interactions with locals. Everyone around was all smiles. The place is cute and the food is fresh and high quality. We got onion rings, shrimp quesadillas, and a buffalo burger and would recommend any of them. I forgot to take a picture but I gotta say the pictures form other people's reviews made me decide to eat here and it did not disappoint. This is a quality place in any town and especially nice for being right off the road. I'll definitely save it for if I'm in the area in the future.

Go here if you want absolutely delicious food! This is food that is made with care and quality ingredients. My kiddo actually licked his (spaghetti and meatballs) plate completely clean and said it was one of the best things he has ever eaten. 😉

Yelp
Delicious, and service was great! Loved the ambiance ! Boyfriend dot the grilled cheese with portabella mushroom (mmm) and I got the shrimp quesadillas (mmm mmm)

Yelp
If a junior high cafeteria, a retirement community, and a rock concert had a baby, it would be Harry's Roadhouse. We ordered three things: Catfish: not a whole fish, not even half a fish, just two lonely fillets in cornbreading. The taste? Fine. Not bad. Not great. Exactly what you'd serve at the "Middle Child Participation Awards Banquet." The grits with green chile on the side were actually very good. And don't miss the sides of collards that have more than decent pot-licker. Points for those. Penne with cheese: looked like it escaped from a junior high cafeteria tray. Tasted like it too. Gumbo: four shrimp swimming in dark heavy gravy with rice so anonymous it should have been in the witness protection program. Came with a corn muffin that whispered, "Hi, I'm from a Jiffy box." Service: Our server had all the warmth and attentiveness of a McDonald's drive-thru mic. Ambience: Depending on which room you land in, it's either eclectic Santa Fe or a Southwest-themed assisted living facility. Noise level: Somewhere between "rock concert" and "punk show." Perfect if you're dining with people you don't want to talk to: in-laws, bad Tinder date, that one college roommate who wants to borrow money. The high points: Ample Free Parking. Margaritas: tall, simple, and blessedly syrup-free. Plenty of space for walkers. Overall? Harry's is fine if you want margaritas, parking, and plausible deniability about your dining companions. But if you came for the food everyone's raving about on Facebook... maybe just read the comments instead.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint. It is packed but once you get a sit the service is fast. Staff is friendly, fast on recommending a dish or two. Food is not bad as long as you do not expect a Michelin dishes. This time I tried a house-made tequila cheesecake - a bit unusual but definitely worth trying. I am a bit of a coffee snob, however this one was very drinkable. All-n-all, this is a good place to recommend.

Yelp
The unfortunate reality is that sometimes places don't always get it right. The first several times we ate lunch or dinner here was absolutely fabulous. That's not the case for our experience a few days ago. We went for "brunch", it was 10:30 and they only served breakfast still... and we were very disappointed in pretty much everything. I ordered the steak (medium rare) and eggs (over medium). My steak first of all was tiny, not 5oz as the menu stated, and it was VERY well done. My eggs were over easy, way too runny. I told the server, and bless her heart, she dismissed it as nothing. I am not one to return food. I do not trust the process. The icing on the cake was... we ordered two slices of lemon merengue pie, to go. And GROSS! It had a few (not one or two, but a few) dead nats (tiny little flies) on it. Needless to say, we think our like for this place has run its course. It happens. But its unfortunate.

Yelp
Friends took us here for breakfast on a Labor day Sunday. We got a great table near the open windows, so a nice breeze and you could see the hummingbirds flitting. Service excellent. Delicious coffee. The wife had lamb hash with eggs on top. She ate every bite. I had migas with corn/flour tortillas and black beans. Delicious.

Rose P.

Yelp
The food is awesome, the staff is great, don't forget to order a pie for dessert. Plenty of parking. Bar with TV for those who want to watch sports. Patio dinning looked good.

Yelp
Harry's is a longtime fixture on the outskirts of Santa Fe. It's gone through multiple owners, the pandemic madness, and the post-pandemic problems of finding enough workers. The days/hours remain somewhat unpredictable, but a quick phone call will verify if they're open before you go. Plan on waiting at least a few minutes for a table most times. The waiting area can be crowded, but it's shaded and usually cool & breezy in hot weather. The food is likewise variable in quality and presentation, but there are some old reliables like green chile cheeseburgers, enchiladas, and spareribs. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options appear frequently on the menu. For those interested in libations, there are a few beers on tap, a modest wine selection, and a full bar. Non-alcoholic options are plentiful.

Yelp
Absolutely a MUST in Santa Fe. Recommended by hotel staff for dinner after a hat 8 hour drive from Estes Park Colorado. On a Sunday afternoon at 4 PM the wait list was 35-40 minutes. Just enough time to get a couple margaritas at the jammed bar! Don't let the wait and the crowd deter you from going here. With an Extensive Menu- it's hard to figure out what to eat here. Literally something for everyone. A nice local man who remembers the building once being a gas station and garage said they "do seafood well". My husband too that to heart and ordered the Seared Tuna Steak Salad- probably not what the local meant. He was not impressed saying the tuna tasted 'fishy', but the salad was beautiful to look at. I ordered Asada Tacos which came on blue corn tortillas and they were amazing. Fresh delicious slaw and cilantro creama. They were so yummy. The service was impeccable with our waitress have great knowledge of the extensive menu. We sat outside on the patio with many tables around the back shaded cool comfortable stone walk areas. Very very nice place indeed. We will go back on outlet next trip.

Yelp
I love the food in New Mexico! I love when asked if I want something smothered, I can say Christmas and know I'm getting best of both worlds with red and green. We have visited Harry's on many of our visits to the area. The food is always good and the service is always on point. We sat in one of the side rooms so it didn't feel crowded. I ordered Huevos Rancheros with two basted eggs. The eggs were on top of a blue corn tortilla and there was a side of black beans to go with. The red and green chile smothered it to perfection. I could eat this meal breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was parched so my beverage of choice was water. My husband had the California Dreamin' hand-held burrito and a house margarita. He wasn't sure if he wanted a salted rim so our server offered to have half of it rimmed with salt. That was the perfect balance for him. My sis-in-law got a Turkey Reuben for her lunch and paired it with a martini. She said it was delicious and her drink was great.

David L.

Yelp
Service is wonderful, food is amazing and the margaritas are tasty. I highly recommend this place.

Robert P.

Yelp
Loved this joint although it was a quick lunch without festive beverages. I was able to substitute the turkey enchiladas for chicken so things started well. The red chili was more like a mole which was another win as SF tends to favor heat over flavor. The pies looked tasty but they will have to wait until next time. As a single I tend to get marginal service but the counter was a quick seat and the staff was attentive without being overly aggressive.

Yelp
The food was no bueno :( 4 of us went for brunch to celebrate a birthday so got a chance to sample 4 very different dishes. The only dish that was good was the huevos rancheros. The ribs were tough, the burrito was bland and the carne asada tacos had very little meat which was mixed with cartilage. So sad to post this review as I've heard so many great things only to find out the owner is more interested in playing host rather than oversee the kitchen. Very disappointing!
google avatar

Garen M.

Yelp
Very popular place. We had a good meal with great service. The kitchen was busy but they were efficient and delivered in a reasonable time. We had some strawberry rhubarb pie for dessert. It was OK but not exceptional.

Yelp
We enjoyed our dinner and our waitress, Jo, and server were absolutely fantastic!! They were even accommodating for my crazy allergies!!

Yelp
Great little place outside of Santa Fe. The margaritas were outstanding, the service was attentive and helpful. This is a local favorite. The food was great. Would have loved homemade chips.

Yelp
Good food in a fun setting with lots of local and funky art. We went in around 2pm on a Sunday afternoon in mid-October. The parking lot was packed so we expected a long wait. The host told us 20-30 minutes but our party of 3 was seated in less than 10 minutes. I ordered the wild mushroom pizza. This was about a 10" pie with a nice assortment of mushrooms, mozzarella and spinach. I don't remember there being much spinach but the mushrooms were very good. I also had a small chopped salad as a side. It was a nice assortment of crunchy vegetables but I couldn't tell that it was dressed. Pizza and salad were both very good. My wife got the apple salad, which she said was very good. It had romaine, apples, blue cheese, walnuts and dried cherries with a light poppy seed dressing. The third in our party got a plain hamburger with fries, which she said was good. The service was fast and the prices reasonable ($12-$15). Harry's Roadhouse is a good spot to grab lunch away from the Plaza and when you want something besides Mexican (which they have but isn't the main food on the menu).
google avatar

Bernadette J.

Yelp
Fast service, delicious food, fun atmosphere. Greeter was a small bit off-putting, but I'm guessing that is because so many people lie about their complete party being there. Hubs was just a few steps behind but greeter copped a bit of an attitude...until hubs walked in 15 seconds later. Loved how many staff and patrons dressed up for Halloween/dia de Los Muertos.

Rose G.

Yelp
Holy moly! Best food, service and desserts. This is a must! So lucky a local shared this treasure with us.
google avatar

Yelp
Fun place! I had migas, which were great, and a cinnamon roll, which was tasty, but not as good as I remember from the last time I was here; I think maybe someone else is making them now. They used to be extraordinary. This time, they were a little dry and needed a bit more icing. Anyway, everything was still quite good. Service is friendly if not overly fast, and the restaurant is clean and spacious.
google avatar

Mary G.

Yelp
The food was fabulous and Tyler took excellent care of us. If it's available, definitely get the cinnamon roll.

Yelp
I've dined here for lunch and dinner before, and those meals were usually a solid hit. But today, I decided to mix things up and give breakfast a try. Enter the Lamb Hash. I'm not sure if it was having an off morning, but this dish just didn't quite wake me up. Imagine a concert where all the instruments are tuned and in place, but the lead singer just isn't hitting those high notes. That's what the Lamb Hash felt like--so close, yet so underwhelming. It came with all the usual suspects: feta, potatoes, egg, and a few peppers. But despite this ensemble cast, the flavor wasn't harmonizing. I kept waiting for that crescendo of taste that never came. Adding the habanero hot sauce definitely cranked up the volume, but by that point, I was more focused on solving the mystery of the missing flavor than enjoying my breakfast. And then there was the toast. Warm and inviting, slathered with some lovely butter... but then I looked over at the store-bought jelly sitting on the table like an uninvited guest. With all the fresh ingredients in this place, you'd expect something more artisanal, like homemade strawberry jam. The portion size? Let's just say if you're looking for a light dinner disguised as breakfast, you've found it! Thankfully, the meal wasn't a total flop. I grabbed the lemon ricotta pancakes to go for my husband, and those were the real headliner of the morning--fluffy, tangy, and worth every bite. Overall, I'd come back for the pancakes in a heartbeat, but the Lamb Hash? Not so much. Here's hoping it gets its groove back for the breakfast show.

Yelp
Another 5 star Sunday breakfast today. Guy's favorite waffle, blue corn waffle stuffed with bacon ! Go for the real maple syrup....this waffle is worthy of the good stuff....light and fluffy for a waffle. Wife's tres leche french toast with berries was terrific Quick service as usual, they can get busy so parking can be a challenge. Someday, gotta sit at the bar for snacks and a bloody mary. Always a great spot

Alexa A.

Yelp
if I was to choose one place to eat in Santa Fe , it would be Harry's Roadhouse. the atmosphere is welcoming and delightful. The margaritas are the best in town and the food never ever disappoints. Owner Kathleen is professional and friendly as well as her staff. The outdoor garden is beautiful and zen -like. local artists are represented and always interesting. A terrific experience.
google avatar

TJ M.

Yelp
My first time here won't be my last time. A wonderful patio setting with a good range of eats. Our server Nick was excellent. Try the Guy (Fieri) Favorite Waffle!
google avatar

Rose B.

Yelp
This is a regular for me that I don't visit often enough. Food is always excellent and service wonderful. We had sweet potato tacos. Delicious. Friendly and helpful staff in a restaurant that feels like home. Comfortable and welcoming.
google avatar

Allison M.

Yelp
Often busy but without much of a wait, this place has offered good quality NM food for years. It was just as good the last 2 times time around as it was the first time I went probably 20 years ago. Service is pretty good, and the garden patio area out back is really nice and shaded.

Scott S.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying Harry's Roadhouse, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the reputation. The food was super bland -- especially the salsa and chile sauce, which somehow had no flavor at all. For a New Mexican restaurant, that's a major letdown. Nothing on the menu really stood out or felt special. The vibe was off from the start. The staff seemed distant and unfriendly, like they'd rather be anywhere else. We definitely didn't feel welcome. The space itself has that "used to be great" kind of feel -- like it was once a local gem but is now mostly riding on its past and catering to tourists. It just felt kind of lifeless and tired. Not the worst meal, but nothing I'd come back for.

A. C. L.

Yelp
Great food! Friendly and efficient service! Fun, relaxed, casual atmosphere. THOSE PIES! You don't need wordy reviews, really. Just GO THERE. Enjoy your meal. Save room for dessert.
google avatar

Lynne D.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Wednesday evening. There was a bit of a wait but the food was worth it. Love the variety of vegetarian options. Blue corn turkey enchiladas with red sauce were amazing. The ribs had a light smoked flavor but were tender and meaty!
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
We visited a quaint little piece of Santa Fe. This little restaurant is out of the way, by a few minutes, but not far. We were seated and greeted right away. The menu had a big variety of items to choose from. We started off with some homemade onion rings which was the best part of the meal. They came out super hot and crispy. They stayed together when you ate them and they were delicious. I ordered Buffalo burger, which was over cooked and under seasoned. The fries were hand cut, but lacked salt. My husband ordered the wild Mexican shrimp quesadilla. The shrimp were overcooked and rubbery, but the salsa was super tasty. We tried the lemon meringue pie for dessert. The filling was amazing, but the crust was not flaky as I would have liked. Overall the food was ok, but we recommend you all try it for yourself.
google avatar

Beth M.

Yelp
What went well??? EVERYTHING! We've loved it. Lived in Santa Fe nearly 3 years and never have dined here until last night. Now we will go often. Our waiter Eric was so professional. He took care of the complete counter and 3-4 full tables. Flawless service. We had the fried catfish with green chili cheese grits! Turnip greens. The greens were cooked perfectly but a bit tart. (Needed brown sugar) I'm from the southern US and we make them a tiny bit sweet. Eggnog ice-cream was perfect. Coconut cream pie was good. Whoever is doing those dessert pies cakes is top dog! Cannot wait to take visiting family. The complete staff was like a well oiled machine! Thank you! Yummy

M. Cabral F.

Yelp
The entry is so eclectic you feel like you've been transformed in time. Eric did an amazing job taking our orders, getting us served and having our table bussed on an incredibly busy night. Even though they were slammed for the holiday, he handled his tables super efficiently and with a smile. I enjoyed the Acorn Squash and will order that again. Don't pass up the pies. I enjoyed a piece of Strawberry Rhubarb pie. Food was excellent, drinks were perfect & and there is no doubt we'll be back.

Yelp
Vastly overrated. This place excels at mediocrity. No one goes broke selling heavy fats and sugars, the heroin of the food biz. The dishes at Heavy's, er Harry's are so loaded they should serve them with a defibrillator and a card of the local FA (foodaholics anonymous) chapter. In the two times that we tried it, as it was close to where we were staying, it was basic math. So... x So... gets you So-squared (So so) Lunch fail: The kale salad hid the kale in a sea of high cal. Simplify! The pizzas are popular, but nothing that you couldn't get elsewhere. The crust is slightly better than Dominos. Turkey stacked blue corn enchiladas? I say nay nay! Breakfast fail: The half-formed thing that claimed to be a blue corn waffle shouldn't have made it out of a prison line cook's school. The breakfast burrito was a fat topped mediocrity. Their New Mexican dishes are tourist inoffensive. Plating is 101 where avocado is used as both fat and an attempt to cover the mediocrity with happy bait. The ambience of the hipster Route 66 roadhouse, the very hip bar, and the outdoor seating are the big sells, especially to the tourists. Service is New Mexico friendly. They're busy. They're making money. Tips will induce smiles. Not much else. You would expect them to draw a big fifty foot line to keep the American Heart Association fanatics, imploring you not to enter, away from shaming you at the front door, but it's a town full of tourist calorias, so they get a pass. Won't thrill ya. Won't kill ya.
google avatar

Jim H.

Yelp
Great breakfast. Eggs over-easy, applewood bacon, awesome potatoes. I also had one lemon pancake. Next trip will include a full order. Young lady had a wonderful smile, very courteous and very attentive. We sat inside, but I would also recommend the outside tables as well. Not exactly on a main road, but well worth the time and effort to find this place. I highly recommend a meal at Harry's.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a cool patio. We walked through the main building and were seated at a secluded table on the patio surrounded by a wonderful garden. The service was excellent. The menu had many outstanding options but I went with the Grilled Cheese with sautéed onions and a portobello mushroom on sourdough bread. It was delicious! I also had their signature Sangria to drink. For dessert I had the rhubarb pie (and some of my wife's cherry pie). Both were delicious! Unfortunately the Yelp app only allows me to give it 5 stars, I personally would have gone higher!

David K.

Yelp
You really can't beat Harry's Roadhouse for quality food and drinks at fairly reasonable prices; the only problem here is getting a table! Harry's always has new delicious weekly specials which pay attention to what's in season. The standards are excellent too. Try the roadhouse tostada--served with a generous portion of grilled chicken and chopped veggies on a crisp tostada. The red chile is so good--try it on the turkey enchiladas. The house margaritas are delicious too, and the service is usually top notch. Don't forget about the awesome desserts--some of the best you'll find in Santa Fe.

Rebecca B.

Yelp
From all the positive reviews, I guess I expected more. I can't comment on the service, since I opted for takeout, but the food was disappointing. As others have pointed out, the carne asada tacos could have used more steak. It felt like the ratio of cilantro to steak was about 2:1, and the tacos weren't helped by the addition of a strange concoction that tasted like a combination of Cheez Whiz and canned chipotles in adobo sauce. I also tried the Meat pizza (pepperoni, sausage, prosciutto, & green chiles). The crust had some nice flavor, however, the prosciutto had an off-putting taste. The green chiles likely came from a jar and had no heat and almost no flavor.
google avatar

Beth G.

Yelp
We were given personal recommendations to go to Harry's by multiple locals, on different occasions. I was told that the ribs were excellent and " Harry's has the best Margarita in town!" The ribs dinner was more than I wanted so I got carne asada tacos and the famous house margarita. ( there are several different margarita offerings) Next time I might get a rib appetizer. The food was excellent, served quickly, and hot on a very cool night. Our server Joshua was very professional, kind and fun. The place was crowded, but the wait was minimal, and the staff made it fun in the whole place. Good for groups, and families. We will return!
google avatar

Travis M.

Yelp
This was a fun little spot that I decided to stop in for lunch. It really is like a roadside stop in place. Since it was just me I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and he seemed to know everyone else at the bar. Got my food quickly and smashed it into my face (literally). I'd go back and do it again again.
google avatar

Jenny K. L.

Yelp
Truly a great quality New Mexican diner that is worth the wait, because there will be a wait. The staff is so friendly and the options were plentiful to cover all of our varying interests. I got the turkey enchilada which was good - grabbed sauce in the side, which I'm glad I did because the red chili had heat! Their mushroom pizza was one of the best - thin crust with various mushrooms. Their burgers were the best quality -- pasture raised by Native American ranchers. Prices were definitely more reasonable than some of the other restaurants we ate at closer to downtown.

John N.

Yelp
This place is still great but it's no longer pet friendly, even on the patio (it was converted to an herb garden, so I get it).
google avatar

Brandon P.

Yelp
Well, I wish this place was in Arizona. If you live near Santa Fe, NM or are traveling through you must come here. The carne asada tacos were simple and delicious, as were the beans. I wish there were more beans and maybe another taco. The watermelon lemonade was refreshing with fresh watermelon juice! The Buddha Bowl was warm and refreshing. The flavors and textures all came together so well. The fries were real potatoes cut and fried. The chicken was crispy and still juicy. The burger was cooked well done and still juicy. The cookie was a big hit and three people at the table said that may be the best chocolate chip cookie they've ever had. It was delicious. The pecan pie! Problematically delicious. Everything about it was perfect. The hand formed crust, sweetness of the filling, and the amazing whipped cream. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and the service was fantastic. We hope to be back!

Yelp
Always Quite Good. Watch out for their credit card hand-held. Tips are figured off total WITH TAX, which isn't customary and is DISHONEST.

Lisa C.

Yelp
They're just "meh". I guess the hype is mostly about their bar. We've gone & tried it 3 times, the old 3 strikes you're out. I'm sure their different clientele will keep them in business.

Hannah G.

Yelp
This place was outstanding! everything was so good! & very clean & organic ingredients (not in all food items). the mango ice cream, banana pudding, & the peanut butter ice cream sandwich were delicious!!

I ordered a pie to celebrate a birthday and couldn't have been happier. It was delicious and beautiful. I'd order again and hope to go back and try some of their menu. I've had nachos there but nachos are kind of hard to mess up. Food looks good and the people were all so friendly. It can get busy so try off hours to save yourself a wait.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico, my daughter and I had lunch at Harrys Roadhouse, since it was recommended by a couple friends. I ordered and really enjoyed a great sandwich. It was a fresh Roasted Turkey Breast Sandwich with green chile, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce and tomato on sourdough bread, served with a chipotle mayonnaise, coleslaw and chips. My daughter really liked the Turkey Reuben Sandwich on Rye bread with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing. It was served with some house-cut French fries. Harrys had a fun ambience, very nice and helpful waiters, and very tasty food and plenty of it. We really enjoyed it! We highly recommend that you visit Harrys Roadhouse when you visit Santa Fe!

Yelp
Found Harry's Roadhouse on Triple D (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) hosted by Guy Fieri, so I thought it would be a great spot, the actual spot/location is great, but the food and service, not so much. We arrived close to sunset (before 7 PM) and put our name on the waiting list. We were told it would be 35 minutes at most, we ended up waiting 70 minutes for our table for two. We waited outside since the limited waiting area was overly crowded and packed with others patiently waiting to be seated. We were able to enjoy the beautiful view and sunset, so that was a plus, but then the clouds and rain rolled in, so it was muggy and sticky. We were finally seated in the back corner of one of the dining areas in the restaurant. It was near the kitchen, so we heard it all, an earful from staff and cooks, etc. The seating was close/cramped, but we weren't going to complain, we were hungry and ready to enjoy some "comfort food." There aren't many options around the area either and restaurants don't stay open as late (like LA/SD, CA). We ordered a Hawaiian Pizza. It came with ham, pineapple, red onion, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. It was a decent size pizza. The pizza was fresh and flavorful. My husband ordered a local beer, which was served flat; very little carbonation. He ordered the fried catfish plate with grits and collard greens. The plate was relatively small. The amount of catfish wasn't much and the catfish was dry/overcooked. The service was attentive at first, but after our food was delivered, we had to track down the waitress for water, napkins, bill, etc. It's unclear if it is still the same owner from the Triple D episode, doubtful... . I wonder if breakfast or lunch is better?! The locals and tourists really like this spot, if I ever return to Santa Fe, I will try it once more.

Yelp
From how busy this place was ( hard to find a place to park and a 15-20 minute wait once inside) my expectations were high. Both food and service was fine, it's a solid 3.5 star resteraunt.
