These people were the most rude people I've ever met in my life. It started when we got carded at 50-year-olds when we walked in and because they were closing soon, they were extremely rude and diligent about getting us out of there. The bartender tried his hardest to be nice but we could tell he was absolutely miserable with our presence

Recently remodeled but still has the original vibe; management changed over in 2019- has only gone up hill from there. Cheapest drinks in town, safe environment and welcoming crowd. There's a reason it's been open since 1972. Great place to watch the game, play pool, or just grab a beer.

Service was absolutely amazing, bartenders were on top of their game and knew how to serve. Wouldn’t wait any more than 30 seconds before they asked me if I needed a drink. With this quick service I was able to have an amazing Saturday night!! Roll Tide

First attempt to visit. Cars lined up in front of building. Walked in and there were people all around the bar but I was told the bar was closed. Hmmm, must have been the VIP clientele. Looked like a dive beer joint. Next!

Yelp
Best dive bar in America! The oldest bar in Tuscaloosa, Harry's walls are covered in rich history. Joe Namath was a regular in his college years, and several of his scenes from East Rider were filmed there decades later. Harry Hammond, the bar's founder, has pictures of him serving drinks at Harry's to many noteworthy patrons, such as the trombone player from The Lost Boys, Tonya Harding, and Emilio Estevez. Pro tip: order a Swirley Worley (extra swirley) shot off the secret menu. If you like Englebert Humperdink tunes, then come on a Tuesday to enjoy Rubio sing some "Harryoke." If humor is your thing, the main door guy (calls himself the sheriff of Harry's) is a regular George Lopez. The manager Ben is a super neat guy as well. He tans his own leather and has several freezers full of delicious meats. The midget wrestling event in February is a must see. Talk about little guns, big message... These folks are sturdy and ornery! Long story short, Harry's rules.

Yelp
Ew. I visited Harry's for the first time this weekend. It's known for being super sketchy and nasty, but cheap. Definitely sketchy and nasty, but not cheap at all. Upon entering, I was astonished that they were charging a cover. There were hardly 10 people in the bar at 11:30pm on Saturday night. Turns out our "entertainment" for the night was 2 drunk guys tuning their guitars for an hour, and then finally yelling random obnoxious tunes. It was terrible. But the worst crime was the prices. I told myself that it was all worth it, because our drinks would be really cheap. Nope. I ordered 2 drinks, and my tab was $19. What? I could be at the Alcove sipping great drinks out of glass jars while admiring the ambiance for those prices. But apparently dirty, gross, nasty, Harry's thinks they can charge the same prices. Will not be going back.

Yelp
Ever been to a hospital? Probably the cleanest place ever. If you go down to Harry's, expect hospital quality cleanliness. I could lick a toilet seat here without having any detrimental health issues. Combine that with cheap drinks, karaoke, pool tables, and a vast assortment of drink choices, and you have a bar rat's wet dream. The staff is cool, friendly, and sexy. 10/10 spot to come to when visiting Tuscaloosa.

Yelp
Harry's Bar is everything a local landmark, a dive bar, a watering hole should be. I have been a few times and always have a fun experience. This is a place where old tales get more spectacular every time they are told...

Yelp
Terrible experience. Bouncers were pricks ever though I was 21. Horrible drink specials and overall just a miserable bar. Too much monkey business going on over there. STAY AWAY!
