Hartenberg Wine Estate

Loved!!! Would hightly recommend. Had a lovely, lazy, quiet, spring sunday wine tasting and grazing platter. The staff where very attentive, welcoming and friendly. Our waiter (forgotten her name) was very very knowledgeable and gave us a an unforgettable tasting experience. The grazing platter was of high quality but could've used a little more bread or crackers to compliment the cheese!

One of our favourite wineries of South Africa, hands down (next to Rainbow's End). Almost a year later we still talk about its line of wines: memorable, reach, unique and special. The tasting was generous and surprising, and the wines were stunning.

A lovely spot to enjoy a wine tasting or even a bottle, perhaps the grazing platter if feeling peckish, but the mains failed. The burger is not what it used to be, with a new R195 price point you expect to be wowed, it didn't taste great and was still left unsatisfied. Chicken had slightly pink areas and was recooked, overall beautifully presented (R185). Kids meal was more than enough to be able to share. Service was ok, clearing of the plates wasn't done even after ordering and receiving desserts, blamed on short staffed, yet on two occasions waiter didn't bother taking any plates with to the kitchen area? The focus here is being a Wine Farm, not a restaurant, point cleary made. The wines are truely wonderful and worth a try - after lunch time. Revisit: Had perfectly cooked medium steaks, Salmon salad well presented and would say these 2 are excellent choices when having a plated lunch. Our server did a fantastic job, food all served at once, table was cleared promptly after last empty plate, coffee served warm and overall friendly and welcoming. Glad I was able to invite friends to expience this beautiful wine estate and leaving with a smile. Thank you

We had pleasure to visit Hartenberg for wine tasting on Sunday, what a warm and excellent service we received from Ovayo, Beautiful Atmosphere, great wines. Would definitely recommend to everyone and can’t wait to return.

Friendly, professional staff made our visit to this age old estate with premium wines at affordable prices. Coupled with delicious food and oodles of attention in a relaxed, verdant setting, you couldn't find a better way to spend your day! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

First off Johann was an amazing host and very knowledgeable when it comes to this well placed wine farm and workings. It is also very rare for us to enjoy all the wines on offer they are just really that good, we all were just blown away by the quality! I was for example loving the white wines and that is definitely not my thing. The platters were also top notch and a nice variety of things to snack on. Prices are very reasonable for what you are getting. We will def be recommending and returning soon. Thanks again and great job keep it up!! Ps we got the 5th last bottle of the 850 bottle run of the Tenacity Mourvèdre 2017 I would suggest getting your hands on one before they are all gone! 👌🏻

One of the older wine farms in the area and it is truly delightful. There is a welcoming fire place in the tasting room and the waiters are friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. Beautiful Chardonnay. We had The Premium tasting with a cheese platter - worth a visit - the scenery is just too gorgeous
