First of all when you enter the atmosphere and vibe is really nice and perfect temperature. You first see a beautiful view of some amazing pastries that invite you in. The customer service is amazing, super friendly people that are really helpful. There is also bacon, sausages, and eggs of the menu. The bacon is the best I’ve ever had, you have to pass by here for breakfast and try it. All the food is organic and really healthy and so worth it. I have to add that there was a line to get into the restaurant which just shows its popularity.

Local products, with bold and earthy flavours. We actually went for a pastry only, based on a recommendation that we received, but ended up trying the full experience to be able to review it properly. And let me split this review in two sections: Section One - Pastries and coffee: We had the vegan brownie and the vanilla cruffin with a flat white. This combination was excellent! The pastries were freshly baked and honestly some of the best pastries I’ve had in Rotterdam. If you’re in the mood for something sweet that will blow your mind, I highly recommend their coffee and pastries. Section Two - Food and atmosphere: We were there @ 12h30 so I don’t want to judge the atmosphere too much, as it was super packed and noisy as hell, but can imagine that when it’s not rush hour, you’ll have a relaxed vibe enjoying a stunning seat outside with a view of the canal. The food itself was good, fresh and earthy flavours, and you feel “healthy” after finishing your meal. They source their products locally which makes this experience that much more special. You can see the chefs prepare the food and how two chefs run a full house like they do, is amazing! My only problem is their menu is a little bit too simple and not a lot of options unless you “build it yourself”. So, to round it off. If you want coffee and pastries I would 100% recommend this spot as your number one option to consider. If you’re looking for a breakfast/ lunch, and prepared for a very specific type of flavour profile / limited options, then this is a solid option too.

It's a lively, yet cozy place. The starting by the water is especially charming and relaxing. Staff is also very helpful and welcoming. The coffee is decent, but the true stars of the show are their baked goods. So far I only tried flan, and it was delicious and well made, which means a lot considering how difficult it is to make. Can't wait to try more of their pastries, each looking better than the previous one🫠

I’ve visited Harvest Café twice this visit to Rotterdam and in my opinion it’s the BEST in town (or at least among the top 3). Since I know it from previous visits I know you should arrive early especially during the weekend, so at 9:00 I was already there. Service is great, sitting “on” the water is perfect and the pastry are AMAZING. I had the danish with lemon and blueberries which was the best, second was the Canele and the strawberry pastry was good but less tasty (too sweet for me). I also had the egg Benedict which was really great and the bread it was served with was DELICIOUS. All in all for me it’s the best place in the city.

Harvest Bakery has nailed the formula: prime location right on the water, reliably good food, and coffee that’s seriously excellent. Whether you’re popping in for breakfast or a midday pause, the setting delivers—light, airy, and just the right kind of buzz, even in a busy Saturday as when I visited. The service? Fast. Efficient. Maybe a little too efficient—don’t expect much chit-chat. But if you’re not after banter and just want things done right and quickly, it works. A solid spot that gets the essentials right, with a view that elevates the whole experience.

I discovered a very good coffee and breakfast place. Follow me it is a coffee and bread shop right at the port of Rederijhaven. Opens exactly at 9:00 am. When I arrived there was a long queue of about 15 people. The staff was friendly. I chose an outdoor seat to watch the ships dock. A very peaceful corner. The chef made hot and delicious food, a cup of fragrant coffee. Thank you for a beautiful morning

Google
A truly wonderful place! Such a lovely atmosphere and beautiful seating outside by the water. I got the eggs Benedict’s and it was sensational. The sourdough was incredibly fresh and the cheese hollandaise was so flavoursome! Luckily I got seated straight away but as I was leaving there was a big queue forming so I’d advise arriving as close to opening as possible.

The egg, bacon & mushroom dish I had was really filling and delicious — no complaints there.👌🏼 However, compared to similar places, it’s a bit overpriced. If you’re planning to visit Harvest as a group of 3–4 people, be prepared to wait in line for at least 10–15 minutes. If you’re lucky, you might get one of the 4–5 canal-view tables you see on Instagram — in that case, the wait might be worth it. Otherwise, you’ll probably end up at one of the indoor tables. If you’re alone, the wait is usually shorter, but you’ll likely be seated on a bar stool in front of the coffee machine — not the most comfortable place to enjoy a meal.😒 I went there for breakfast, and the loud music combined with people talking made it a bit too noisy for me. The space isn’t very big or airy either. You can actually hear how loud it gets in the videos I uploaded. The patisserie and bakery items looked amazing! I didn’t try them, but they looked super tempting.🤤 Since I really liked the food, I might give it another try by going earlier next time. But if it’s that chaotic again, I probably won’t go back — there are lots of similar spots in Rotterdam with great food too.🤷🏻‍♀️
