Google
Pretty surprising to see anything less than 5 stars here. This is an amazing experience. The portions are large, especially the pasta, salmon, and skirt steak. The salads are amazing, large and flavorful. The ambience is quiet and beautiful. The skirt steak was a sleeper! Very filling and flavorful. Some people just want to complain, that’s fine, but don’t let a few bad apples ruin the bunch. This is a Montauk gem!

Google
One of the better restaurants we visited in the area. Large family style plates. Amazing views of the ocean. Decent wine list.

Google
Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere and good food. We sat outside on the patio enjoying the sunset while we ate our dinner. The portions are large enough to share which is nice of you want to sample a couple of different things off the menu.

Google
Each portion serves 2 so don’t get scared of the menu prices. Food is very good, well presented by attentive servers. Dine outside, weather and summer bees permitting. Reservations are the best way to get an inside table, but outdoors has a non reservation line. Swordfish and pasta Rigatoni were delicious as always. Only issue we had was our water glass had something stuck to it when it was brought to our table, and salt shaker had seen better days, which knocked this visit down to a 4 star review. All in all still a very nice place to dine in Montauk, despite the 2 issues.

Google
This place is great make a reservation a week ahead on yelp. But they have walk-in tables at the front there is limited seating in that regards. Some of the dishes are family style though with two prices next to it. The chicken parmesan was good and the red sauce is a little sweet. The skirt steak was very good! Lastly, the dessert was tasty! Definitely recommend

Google
Family size portions. The staff is great at letting customers know what to order and what is too much food! Thanks for that :) Great portions. Great views. Can get packed after 6:00pm so make a reservation. Don’t forget. Come with an appetite, these portions are huge! Only drawback was being charged for club soda. Ugh. Such an easy win for the restaurant to cover carbonated water when the average ticket is $150+.

Google
Service was fantastic. It's very loud. The food has gone downhill a little over the years. Even the waitress said that there's garlic in everything. Sorry, there's no good reason for that. Portions are huge and meant for family style. Quality is good but doesn't keep up with the prices. Quantity is where they shine. Come with a big crowd, share everything, and talk loudly. On the plus side, wine is very reasonably priced.

Google
Portions are huge and everything we tried was delicious. The calamari salad was a favorite, fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. The lamb ribs were on the fatty side but really tasty, and the portion was massive with around 12 ribs. We had so much leftover! We shared the fish of the day with risotto. The risotto was creamy and flavorful, though the striped bass was a bit tough. The outdoor ambiance was amazing, perfect for a relaxed, cozy meal. Overall, a great spot and definitely worth a visit. Would 100% go back

Yelp
My family and I love coming to Harvest every time we come to Montauk. We love their food and the service is always top notch. We have to get the seafood bruschetta and we enjoy the fish of the day. If you make a reservation a week in advance you can sit inside, but if you show up the day of, you have the chance to sit outside in the beautiful garden. Sitting outside as the sun is setting is lovely. We love Harvest and it is a must do every Montauk visit.

Yelp
Food, service and ambiance on point. Very fresh and family size portions. Definitely recommend and will be returning on next Montauk trip.

Yelp
Great ambience and even better serving sizes. Started off with the broiled oysters which were great. Skirt steak was tender, shrimp pasta was light and tasty. Dessert was the best part. We got the bread pudding and keylime pie. Both were one of the best we've ever had. Also the service was super attentive and welcoming! Warning:serving sizes are massive and meant to be shared with 3-5 people.

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember, it's always been a staple in our trips to Montauk and we rave about it all year long. Unfortunately, last night's experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered the porterhouse, just like we do every year and it was honestly the worst we've ever had. The steak was dry, overcooked, and completely lacking in flavor. We actually had to ask for steak sauce and ketchup just to try to make it edible, something we've never done before. I actually pulled up a picture of the steak we got less than a year ago and it looks completely different. My family didn't want to complain, but I felt I had to say something. I told our server, and she was very kind and understanding, which I appreciated. Our waiter was also incredibly nice, but unfortunately, the food just didn't measure up this time. It was my mother in laws first time there after us raving about it for years and she was not impressed. As much as we've always loved this place and looked forward to it every summer, we're seriously considering trying other restaurants next time we're in Montauk.

Yelp
Excellent food, service and location on the pond. We go every chance we get to eat there, when visiting Montauk.

Yelp
Folks.... Folks... Please go to this establishment, it is the pinnacle of east end dining. Great food, service, drinks, wonderful backyard ambiance! We got the oysters, wedge salad, chicken milanese and the swordfish. All were stunning and quality, flavor in every bite. You can't go wrong at this establishment, just make sure you make reservation plans or be flexible with seating because this certainly isn't a hidden gem. It's a front and center crown jewel of the East End of Long Island.

Yelp
I have been recommended this restaurant so many times and I'm glad I got to finally try it. The serving sizes are large so we were all able to split everything, which made the price more worth it. The food was also just very delicious. The staff was very nice and kept bringing us free bread and gifted us a dessert for our friend. The views from the restaurant are beautiful as well. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be going back.

Yelp
Experience # 2 this Summer was similar to our first commendable dinner. Interesting that they use a sweet tomato sauce. Different but still very good. We took some pictures on the pier in the back of the restaurant which was nice. Ducks and fish galore.

Yelp
The views and garden area are spectacular, as was the service. We were accommodated well with the seating and enjoyed lovely service during the meal. However I didn't feel that the food lived up to any hype. The penne was disappointingly soft and didn't have a great amount of flavor and all other dishes were...fine. Check it out once for the experience but I don't feel the need to return.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant on the pond. Service was fabulous. Enjoyed the eggplant pizza immensely.

Yelp
It's been one of our favorite spots in Montauk for many years. Food, service and ambiance is just wonderful

Yelp
It's so popular they need another building. The best place to eat in Montauk. Difficult to make indoor reservations.
google avatar

Lalanica C.

Yelp
Came here with a large party for dinner. Since it's a family style concept our group of 10 was easily accommodated and ordering was easy as well. we had a corner window spot which was beautiful to capture the remainder of sunset in the background. There was a decent parking lot, but also this was still off season so I'm sure that added to the ease. Highlights- mussels, calamari salad, and the clam linguine for SURE. The one thing was we may have over ordered, and this may have been helped by more guidance from our server regarding portions. we could have done with a half portion of rigatoni instead of 2 full pasta portions.

Yelp
Insane portion sizes but incredible food. Nice views. Service was a little rocky but overall very good meal.

Yelp
Came at 4:50 10 minutes before it opened... There was already a line at the door at 5 o'clock! Food and service were amazing. We had a great night and would recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Yelp
Great service and food, view spectacular! A real part of Montauk experience. The sunsets and cuisine never disappoint.

Yelp
Excellent food and excellent service. Large portion meant to be shared and the mussel appetizer was fantastic.

Yelp
The food and ambience are always perfection! Delicious!!! Highly recommend this restaurant. I loved the bread as much as I dinner.

Yelp
Truly one of my favorite restaurants. From the service to the views to the delicious food - everything is always great. The Skirt Steak and the Farfalle is always a favorite! The calamari salad is also a great choice for an appetizer. This place has amazing portions for family style and i couldn't recommend it more!

Yelp
We came in last minute without a reservation, snagged a couple seats at the bar. The service was impeccable. We loved the pancetta shrimp and mussels. Perfectly cooked halibut with a delectable crab risotto. Impressive little neck clam linguine. Great music, beautiful dock for snapping photos. The best food we had in Montauk

Yelp
If one could wave a Long Island wand and create a restaurant above and beyond with Italian profile portions family style then you would have Harvest on Fort Pond First tip: If you've called for reservations (indoor seating only), line up to the left (please see the included photo) or to the right if you are awaiting outdoor seating. Second tip: arrive around 4:45-4:50 before doors open at 5p but even if you're a tad tardy, you're still likely to get a place as there are ample tables. Third tip: should you arrive with eyes bigger than your belly, keep in mind that you can divide standard restaurant orders by 2 as the portions are FAMILY STYLE (emphasis added). No biggie if you don't though as the take-home bags aren't the type of plastic garbage found at grocery stores or in whale bellies but practically a souvenir one can add to their Hamptons collection. As luck would have it, the restaurant at the Manor where we lodged was closed on a Tuesday and the first place we visited had only a few barstools occupied and no hostess to seat us. So we found the only 4-star Yelp review in the area and the long line in the parking lot indicated to us that our fortunes changed by finding Harvest. They opened punctually and cleared the lot being able to sit couples like us and families of 8 or more promptly. Our tushes hadn't even hit the seat when Laura, our outstanding friendly waitress, took our order for water and beverages. Don't be sorry, order the salad of calamari. It likely being our one and only meal while visiting Montauk, we took our server's suggestions and they were on the money. The most popular dish, the calamari salad, had fresh aromatic arugula, crispy squid cooked to perfection, and just the right amount of original dressing which hinted at peanut flavor. The skirt steak was her second recommendation and the quality of meat was superb, cooked to medium rare spot-on by a chef presumably too busy and humble to come out of the kitchen and take a well-deserved bow to acknowledge such a great skill set. Should your seating be closer to the structure where those with reservations dine, then the ambiance will be of both a gentle shore breeze beneath the gulls gliding above the array of orange umbrellas and the sound of light jazz. The farther one gets from the hostess, the more likely one is to hear a backdrop of Disney movie soundtracks playing on cellphones with plastic sippy cups crashing on the concrete. In conclusion, whether you're a couple getting away for a romantic weekend or a family on vacation, the one meal you don't want to miss on Montauk is at Harvest on Fort Pond

Yelp
Phenomenal food and views! Service was great too. This is the type of place that would probably be best to go to with a group though because they serve family style and because my husband is a vegetarian and my son is well two we typically order different things. The good news is that we have a ton of leftovers. Everything we got was delicious and definitely recommend, especially if you have a crowd.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and abundant. Very pleasant staff-always. Never disappointed by The Harvest.

Yelp
Family style done correctly. Arguably the best spot in Montauk. Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. Really can't go wrong. If food was a bit better I think it could be a 5/5.

Yelp
Recommended by two separate friend groups to go here for dinner while vacationing in Montauk. We were forewarned that it could be a long wait. We got there and were quoted about an hour wait, as expected. But, when we walked inside, my husband noticed a bar top table for 4 available and those are first come first served. So we sat there. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We didn't know at first that it was family style, but she told us and that helped our decision making. Our food was fresh and very good. We were stuffed. I also learned that it's a sister restaurant to one that we often go to local to home. We will definitely go when back in the area.

Yelp
Although we've been coming to Montauk for 40 years, we somehow managed to miss this absolutely wonderful restaurant & dining experience! So professional, so warm & hospitable, such a gorgeous setting, & above all, an amazing menu with oversized portions that are dazzlingly delicious. Have been 3 times this month, both inside & out. Truly a highlight of our Montauk vacation. Until next year!

Yelp
As always the food and service were outstanding. We were a 4 top on a surprisingly not so busy, quiet, 6pm Sunday reservation. Started with libations, salad with goat cheese, steak and pasta. Everything was delicious, hot and plentiful.

Yelp
Amazing food with overly generous portions. Everyone was extremely pleasant Out waitress was fantastic

Yelp
I was very disappointed & not a fan of the food or service here. I was recommended this place by someone who hasn't been back in a few years so I guess it must not be as good anymore! The ambiance was nice, i enjoyed the patio. We were able to easily get a walk-in reservation and they provided high chairs. However the service and the food were awful. We ordered a bottle of still water that they just put on the table and didn't even pour into our cups for us. The mac n cheese was mediocre, I wasn't a fan. The grilled chicken was a huge miss, it tasted super burnt so I didn't like it at all. the onions were barely grilled and tasted raw. the mashed potatoes were good though. I didn't try the burger but I was told it was also over cooked/ burnt and not that great. Worst of all, everything was very expensive ($18 mac n cheese) so definitely not worth the money. I thought for sure with the prices on the menu it would at least be decent but it was basically inedible. The best item we had was the bread basket or the mac n cheese (which was still a miss). Long line for the women's room. Would not come back.

Yelp
We love Harvest - our go to place in MTK! For 30 years -consistently the best food staff and atmosphere!

Yelp
Montauk staple for our family. Family style food - always delicious and there is something for everyone (even picky eaters and kids). Service is always good. Right on the water, gorgeous view of the sunset. Can sit outside (walk ins only) or reserve a table inside.

Yelp
Perfect Montauk ambience. Terrific food. Fresh and abundant. Always great service. My go to special occasion ~ and my dine alone at the bar.

Yelp
You like sunset views in Montauk? If you do, this place is good. Food is solid...think Montauk....family style. Service is great. Go there for the views...food is solid...slightly better than most there but not amazing. That said, it's about the views at Montauk...the end.
google avatar

Franny B.

Yelp
3 stars because the food was good. Always is. But not a good Experience. They squeezed 6 of us into 2 tables unevenly matched so our plates wobbled. Elbows bumping into each other. The waitress was rushed and a mess. Sloppily dressed with messy uncombed hair. Not ok for 100$ per person dinner. Do better.
google avatar

Erica D.

Yelp
Extremely large portions to share. Beware, even with a dairy allergy annnouncement my husband's pasta dish had parm mixed in, which was not neccessary. Great outdoor ambiance.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and great food as usual! This is our favorite in Montauk! Never been disappointed and always happy with our service!

Yelp
My family loves this restaurant and have been coming here for years. We've celebrated many events at the restaurant and also go to their location on the Hudson which also has a beautiful atmosphere. The food and the atmosphere are always consistently excellent. However on a recent visit our daughter brought 2 friends and they were treated so poorly and with such disdain by the host and especially the waitress Tori T. Tori was so rude to them it was shocking. And these are very well behaved polite young women who were celebrating getting into great colleges and Tori T ruined their night. I understand it can be hard monitoring a large restaurants wait-staff and summer can be hard to get good staff in Montauk but this was literally the worst waitress they had ever experienced. Overall besides Tori T the food is excellent and the atmosphere very nice but if you go avoid the very nasty Tori T.

Yelp
Very good family style on the lake! We had a reservation for 5pm right when it opened and the line to get in made me already know it would be a goodie! We enjoyed a spicy pepperoni pizza, burrata, chicken Milanese and Skirt steak. All were cooked extremely well and were tasty. The pizza and skirt steak were the true winners to me, though. We also enjoyed some cocktails which were tasty and strong! Service was attentive and our waitress was incredibly nice. Definitely will go back again if in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
First off, the outdoor seating area is so cute. It's such a cute garden area with a nice view of the pond. It has a nice atmosphere and it's great because it's also family style dining making it easy to share with the table. The food was so good we had the special pizza with preserved lemon and ricotta which was delicious. We also had the char broiled oysters which were so perfect and cheesy. I had never had cooked oysters before but these were so good. We also had the mixed green/portobello salad which was light and refreshing. The goat cheese was perfect and creamy. This was one of the best meals we had when we were in Montauk and would definitely recommend!

James M.

Yelp
Great food lovely atmosphere we go here every year the wait staff are incredible and make us feel at home
google avatar

Yelp
Food is delicious! We always have the calamari salad and the seafood bruschetta. The service is very friendly and the ambiance is perfect whether you're out with the family or with friends

Yelp
Stopped by around opening time to try to snag a table outdoors. Reservations are required for indoor seating but outdoor seating is first come first serve. We thought we arrived early, but there was already a line waiting to be seated. Thankfully we were able to get a table. The dishes here are meant to be shared. Our group of three ordered an appetizer and two entrees and had so much leftover. The food was good but didn't stand out. Drinks were delicious and strong. The ambience was really nice, being outdoors by the water. They also have a deck that you can walk out onto after dinner and hang out by the water. Service was really quick and attentive.

Yelp
My friend and I visited Harvest for dinner mid-week without a reservation. Despite the fact that it wasn't a weekend, the place was packed by the time we left. That said, when we arrived they found room for us after just a short wait - sometimes it's better to be lucky than good ;-) Tip: You can't count on luck, so given how popular this place seems to be, I highly recommend that you make reservations to make sure you'll get in. We decided to share two entrees, ordering the Pork Tenderloin and the Seafood Bruschetta. The latter consisted of some clams, a few shrimp, and some mussels; there was also some tasty bread to be used for dunking. This dish was very good, but the unquestioned star of the show was the Pork Tenderloin. The pork was succulent and wonderfully seasoned, with apricot apple chutney serving as a delightful compliment to the meat. The portion sizes were very generous; even though we were both hungry, we end up with substantial leftovers from both dishes. We finished off the meal by sharing a flourless chocolate torte for dessert. It was delicious, and the perfect finale to an outstanding meal :-)

Yelp
Harvest is good, pricey and I recommend getting reservations. If you are a walking in, you have to sit outside which is beautiful but cold and a lot of little flies kept landing on our water and plates. I tried getting reservations but the entire holiday weekend was full. My kids were shaking and a guy at another table asked for heaters, not sure what happened but they didn't get it on, something about them being more for the ambiance. The food was fine, we had a couple of salads, the skirt steak, pizza, chicken parm and clams linguine. The salads were the best. The pizza we order because my kids wanted a regular cheese pizza, well Harvest uses tomato slices not tomato sauce, it's still good just different enough for them to not want to eat it. The steak and the chicken parm were not bad. Didn't try the linguine but my husband ended up wrapping almost all of it up. Would come here again only w reservation for dinner and would stick to the salads.

Nancy R.

Yelp
The food the service the view the parking all were top notch. The portions are huge and one salmon is plenty for two people with some left over. The pear walnut salad is fabulous and the ice cream sandwich is enough for four. Lovely little spot overlooking the pond.
google avatar

Rocco C.

Yelp
Always a consistent winner- food is delish. If you come with kiddos they offer a $16 chicken finger option that does not come with French fries. Mind you, the fries are delicious and are $12 for a huge serving. Here's my recommendation, please step up the quality of the 5 kids chicken fingers. They are blatantly out of a frozen bag and bland at best. The chicken Milanese is an absolute mouth watering dish. Can you make similar quality chicken fingers for the kids? Thanks

Yelp
We have been wanting to try Harvest but getting rezzys is difficult. We went with another couple on an Odessey to Montauk and made the requisite rezzy a week in advance. The doors open to a line of folks at 5 sharp! We got a nice table by the window facing the Pond and sunset. Service was impeccable! The menu is family portions with resort priceing... but the food is delish! We started with an Artichoke Pizza which blew us away! Their bread is outstanding served with shredded Parm reggiano. For mains we shared the Chicken Parm; tender and delish but no sides with the entries. 2 of us got the Prime Burger..mine with Bleu cheese..was med rare and delish! For dessert we shared the "sandwich" indescribably delicious and decadent. Everything that passed our table looked wonderful! Next visit we will be sure to get the Lamb Ribs! Can't wait to return next time in Montauk!

Nancy M.

Yelp
We were a party of 3. We had no appetizers but the bread they give you is so good! We ordered the salmon, swordfish and skirt steak. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Shirt steak was cooked a solid med rare. Perfect! Our waitress was amazing. Such great service! The inside is very cozy with a water view. The best restaurant in Montauk. Can't wait to go back!

Robert B.

Yelp
I have to say I was very disappointed in the food at the harvest. We had reservations for last Saturday. The shrimp parm and spaghetti was not great. Shrimp was undercooked the sauce for the pasta was basically tasteless. I have always had Mozzarella melted over the top of the shrimp. This was just shrimp thrown in the pasta with rock hard basically tasteless parmigiana cheese throw in. Extremely bad presentation. The clams and spaghetti was just ok. 6 clams. In pasta. The waitress was great. I have to say I will not be rushing back there anytime soon.
