We went for birthday dinner without a reservation because there was no availability for Saturday Nov. 1. The bar area was full, but the hostess said there were 4 seats (we only needed 2) at this curved bar. It has high top seats where a server would take your order & not a bartender. We ordered a drink at the bar and our seats were ready a few minutes later. Our server was Laura M. and she made suggestions, was attentive and later surprised us with a small espresso cup filled with homemade whipped cream with a candle. The couple that sat next to us offered a piece of their ice cream sandwich which looked & tasted delicious, but I am not a dessert person. I have been wanting to eat at Harvest for years and it was always suggested by others. It's a very pretty, unassuming place with great food. We also had the option of getting half portions vs family style because it's off-season. We would definitely go back.

Google
The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch! The restaurant was packed we were impressed how fast the service was, we had the charbroiled oysters, striped bass and salmon, everything was perfectly prepared and flavorful! Highly recommend this place!

Google
This by far is our favorite restaurant and worth the hour and a half drive. The porter steak was hands-down my favorite — cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was amazing and the owners are truly the sweetest people. You can tell they really care about every guest who walks in. The dessert was delicious, the restaurant was super clean, and the staff made us feel so welcome. You can see how much pride they put into their food and the whole experience. And the view… absolutely beautiful. Such a wonderful place to enjoy a great meal! I would give it a 10/5 if I could ! You will not be disappointed!

Google
This was an absolutley a beatutiful place for dinner. Perticularly the out door seating with the outdoor flame heaters and lights. The service was great but the food was fantastic. Wife and I shared a 42 ounce steak. It was very moist and tender with a great flavor( a bit of charcola). Prices tend to be a bit up there but it is worth it. I would recommend Giving this place a try!!

Google
Food is outstanding but don’t come if you aren’t hungry because the portions are served family style. Everything was so good and we’ll definitely be back. The lamb ribs were tangy and tender. I can’t resist a bread pudding so had to have the chocolate chip bread pudding.

Up visiting from northern Virginia with my uncle Mike. We came here he had the seafood bruschetta and I had the linguine and clam too much for one person. But the most amazing seafood I’ve had in my life. So tasty and for a great price. Thank you Jesse for being attentive with our wants and thank you laurel for a great experience and welcoming. Very clean , not a long wait and food is 5 star.

Lovely vibe in Montauk. The foods are a bit pricy but acceptable in this location and this season. And of course, very tasty in freshness. All servers are pretty in smile and style. I would like to come back with my loved ones again.

Google
TL;DR Food poisoning, no follow up from management, and farting lady next to us Came here for my 4 year anniversary. The food was great, we got charbroiled oysters, seafood bruschetta and veal bolognese. We split the oysters and I ate the seafood bruschetta. By the time we got home 4 hours later I was experiencing chills, nausea and then projectile vomiting, but my partner was unaffected so it may have been the seafood bruschetta. I called the restaurant the next day and the hostess was very nice, caring and reassured me that they take food handling seriously. I understand food poisoning happens so I wanted to let them know to prevent it from occurring to other patrons. The hostess said I would receive a call from the manager within 24 hours but I never got a follow up… Which is fine but it’s poor practice to promise something then not keep your word. Additionally, a woman sitting next to me outside kept passing flatulence multiple times extremely loudly, like so loud multiple other tables heard it. She and her partner proceeded to have a lengthy conversation about how “most people fart 40 times a day!” I wish this was a joke because this was a $200+ dinner for the 2 of us and supposed to be a special night. Needless to say it was not a romantic anniversary, but a very memorable one!

Yelp
Terrific ! Always a wonderful meal and great service, beautiful setting. Too difficult to get a reservation though.

Yelp
Harvest in Montauk is a local restaurant in town. Limited parking in front of restaurant. They have a Bar with a TV screen playing sports. Need to make reservations if you would like to have a table. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Our first time here. We ordered the Charred Oysters and Seafood Bruschetta. The waitress said that will be enough as the dishes are family style. She was correct. Fresh baked Bread was provided with some cheese. Which was interesting? The Charred Oysters is a must have they are delicious. Then the Seafood Bruschetta arrived which was enormous. Very well seasoned. We were stuffed but wanted dessert. Decided on the Cinnamon Cronuts with Vanilla Ice Cream. Yum If you are in the area it's a must try.

Yelp
If you're looking for a meal that will make you question your life choices, look no further. From the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be a disaster. The host greeted us with the enthusiasm of a wet dish rag. If you enjoy paying money for food that makes you question whether you're actually eating or just chewing on disappointment, this is the place for you. Final verdict: I wouldn't feed this to my worst enemy.

Yelp
We are loyal fans of Harvest on Hudson in Hastings NY on the Hudson River. The ambience, the vegetable garden, the measured, paced service and the food are always excellent. . By contrast, Harvest on Fort Pond Montauk was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong - the setting on a beautiful pond is breathtaking even without the vegetable garden - instead they have pretty wildflowers. So what went wrong with a promising (week in advance) reservation that resulted in $200 plus meal? BTW: everything is family style here and entree seafood and meat prices are double. 1. About half of the bread was stale and they provided shredded cheese match sticks with it. What am I supposed to do with this cheese? - it doesn't spread on the bread like butter and you can't pick it up with a fork. Instead, I find the stick cheese with flakes of stale bread crust on the table cover making quite the mess - embarrassing. Perfect drink service - cold with a nice mini bottle of non alcoholic sparkling wine. 2. The appetizer of marinated lamb ribs with soy, garlic, and ginger was served in a huge mound for the $58 family style chops. I was expecting smaller sized tender lamb ribs, Instead I got a dental challenge of thick tough fatty meat. Plus, they are covered in a sticky non flavorful sauce and the meat was not falling off the bone (cooking time?) My shirt survived unstained, but I needed another cloth napkin. I left three chops - I'd rethink this family style stuff. 3. Salmon on a cucumber dates, walnuts with lemon butter based dressing. We had this exact dish at Harvest on Hudson. Here it was good, but the piece of salmon was huge (family style) making it less tender and the skin was not charred to give it that bacon like crispy taste. 4. we ordered the cream puff dessert ($18) and coffee - they brought out a tower of mostly stale empty cream puff shells with no pastry cream, gelato (very good) and tons of sauce and whipped cream. Dessert Service: No coffee ever came and the dessert was literally dropped 2 inches onto the table when served. The server response should have been, I forgot your coffee let me get it now at no charge. Instead we got - "do you still want it?" Perhaps we caught a bad Monday night.

Yelp
A rare Winter visit to Harvest produced the same results- excellent salad with calimari, linguini and white clam and chicken parm. Sharp service, available parking, and a nice crowd. I guess it doesn't matter- Summer, Winter....

Yelp
Just got home from a wonderful dinner at Harvest on Fort Pond! We got a recommendation from a local staying next door to us at our airbnb. The service was super friendly and we were able to snag a drink at the bar while we waited. I love the mix between fine dining / comfy cozy casual here. The waitstaff has T shirts but some of the diners were dressed up, some were not. Since there were two of us, the calamari salad and clam linguine was PLENTY- I'm excited to eat the leftovers tomorrow.

Yelp
Beat to eat inside at one of the best restaurants in Montauk. Large size portions and great service. This is my go-to for great and reliably high quality food in Montauk. Make reservations early!

Deb H.

Yelp
Celebrated my 70th birthday here and it was fabulous! The food was delicious with a great selection, the service was excellent and the ambiance could not be beat. Thank you Harvest for a memorable experience with my family!

Yelp
Great food, but steep prices! The service was good and the staff were pleasant.

Yelp
Love this place have been coming here for years since I was a little girl. The food is out of this world, the staff so friendly. The drinks are always so good. A must visit when you come to Montauk

Maryanne S.

Yelp
Excellent! When they say family style they mean it! Everything was delicious. Service was outstanding!

Yelp
All of the places you can choose to go in montauk, do not choose this one. The table process is ridiculous, the host staff is embarrassing and inexperienced. Went here on a recommendation and would recommend to others to go elsewhere.

Aniello B.

Yelp
Food terrific. Service good. Great place to have dinner. Have to reserve a week in advance or you're out of luck-even in the off season.

Liliana B.

Yelp
First time there, went for lunch. Server (I think Robert) was personable, informative, attentive. Restaurant was clean, bright and inviting. Highly recommend. We had the octopus, oysters, gnocchi and short ribs, apricot cheesecake with biscotti crumbles.

Yelp
The views and garden area are spectacular, as was the service. We were accommodated well with the seating and enjoyed lovely service during the meal. However I didn't feel that the food lived up to any hype. The penne was disappointingly soft and didn't have a great amount of flavor and all other dishes were...fine. Check it out once for the experience but I don't feel the need to return.

Robert L.

Yelp
Food is served "family style". Food and server were excellent.(large portions) If you can go at sunset the view is amazing
google avatar

Lalanica C.

Yelp
Came here with a large party for dinner. Since it's a family style concept our group of 10 was easily accommodated and ordering was easy as well. we had a corner window spot which was beautiful to capture the remainder of sunset in the background. There was a decent parking lot, but also this was still off season so I'm sure that added to the ease. Highlights- mussels, calamari salad, and the clam linguine for SURE. The one thing was we may have over ordered, and this may have been helped by more guidance from our server regarding portions. we could have done with a half portion of rigatoni instead of 2 full pasta portions.
google avatar

Elyse H.

Yelp
Exceptional food ! Great service ! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! We love the banana chocolate chip bread pudding!
google avatar

Christopher M.

Yelp
As always the food and service were outstanding. We were a 4 top on a surprisingly not so busy, quiet, 6pm Sunday reservation. Started with libations, salad with goat cheese, steak and pasta. Everything was delicious, hot and plentiful.

Beth R.

Yelp
Food, location, staff... a Montauk Gem. We have been going there forever and it has only gotten better and better.

Yelp
I have been recommended this restaurant so many times and I'm glad I got to finally try it. The serving sizes are large so we were all able to split everything, which made the price more worth it. The food was also just very delicious. The staff was very nice and kept bringing us free bread and gifted us a dessert for our friend. The views from the restaurant are beautiful as well. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be going back.

Yelp
So many people had recommended this place and we've been twice now and have found it "Just ok." Is it worth staying up to midnight just to secure a reservation 7 days in advance? Maybe - if you've never been. While service has been kind and sweet, the food is average depending on what you get. We've gotten the artichoke pizza now and the hot honey pizza now and both were disappointing. You can't even taste any hot honey in the latter, and the artichoke pizza was dry. The bolognese was also dry so for the second time we went, we decided to get the linguine with clams instead which turned out better. Chicken parm was good as well, but it's definitely not a family sized portion compared to the other dishes. The creme puffs were stale the second time we went, but the first time we got them they were good. So just not super consistent ya know? The area outside is fun to walk around by the water and the kids can see the fish too.

Yelp
Food is wonderful and the setting is beautiful. Only complaint is that the gluten-free pasta isn't Celiac-safe because they cook it in the same pot/water as regular pasta. Luckily they do have other gf options.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant on the pond. Service was fabulous. Enjoyed the eggplant pizza immensely.

Yelp
If one could wave a Long Island wand and create a restaurant above and beyond with Italian profile portions family style then you would have Harvest on Fort Pond First tip: If you've called for reservations (indoor seating only), line up to the left (please see the included photo) or to the right if you are awaiting outdoor seating. Second tip: arrive around 4:45-4:50 before doors open at 5p but even if you're a tad tardy, you're still likely to get a place as there are ample tables. Third tip: should you arrive with eyes bigger than your belly, keep in mind that you can divide standard restaurant orders by 2 as the portions are FAMILY STYLE (emphasis added). No biggie if you don't though as the take-home bags aren't the type of plastic garbage found at grocery stores or in whale bellies but practically a souvenir one can add to their Hamptons collection. As luck would have it, the restaurant at the Manor where we lodged was closed on a Tuesday and the first place we visited had only a few barstools occupied and no hostess to seat us. So we found the only 4-star Yelp review in the area and the long line in the parking lot indicated to us that our fortunes changed by finding Harvest. They opened punctually and cleared the lot being able to sit couples like us and families of 8 or more promptly. Our tushes hadn't even hit the seat when Laura, our outstanding friendly waitress, took our order for water and beverages. Don't be sorry, order the salad of calamari. It likely being our one and only meal while visiting Montauk, we took our server's suggestions and they were on the money. The most popular dish, the calamari salad, had fresh aromatic arugula, crispy squid cooked to perfection, and just the right amount of original dressing which hinted at peanut flavor. The skirt steak was her second recommendation and the quality of meat was superb, cooked to medium rare spot-on by a chef presumably too busy and humble to come out of the kitchen and take a well-deserved bow to acknowledge such a great skill set. Should your seating be closer to the structure where those with reservations dine, then the ambiance will be of both a gentle shore breeze beneath the gulls gliding above the array of orange umbrellas and the sound of light jazz. The farther one gets from the hostess, the more likely one is to hear a backdrop of Disney movie soundtracks playing on cellphones with plastic sippy cups crashing on the concrete. In conclusion, whether you're a couple getting away for a romantic weekend or a family on vacation, the one meal you don't want to miss on Montauk is at Harvest on Fort Pond

Ed P.

Yelp
The ambiance is nice and the servers are wonderful but the food was not. I couldn't believe how dry the fish was. The kids couldn't even appreciate the chicken parm. It's unfortunate they have so much potential, but we were incredibly disappointed.

Yelp
Folks.... Folks... Please go to this establishment, it is the pinnacle of east end dining. Great food, service, drinks, wonderful backyard ambiance! We got the oysters, wedge salad, chicken milanese and the swordfish. All were stunning and quality, flavor in every bite. You can't go wrong at this establishment, just make sure you make reservation plans or be flexible with seating because this certainly isn't a hidden gem. It's a front and center crown jewel of the East End of Long Island.

Yelp
Came at 4:50 10 minutes before it opened... There was already a line at the door at 5 o'clock! Food and service were amazing. We had a great night and would recommend this restaurant to anybody!

Yelp
Recommended by two separate friend groups to go here for dinner while vacationing in Montauk. We were forewarned that it could be a long wait. We got there and were quoted about an hour wait, as expected. But, when we walked inside, my husband noticed a bar top table for 4 available and those are first come first served. So we sat there. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We didn't know at first that it was family style, but she told us and that helped our decision making. Our food was fresh and very good. We were stuffed. I also learned that it's a sister restaurant to one that we often go to local to home. We will definitely go when back in the area.

Lena C.

Yelp
Love this MTK staples for decades! Pastas & chops are top notch. Great ambience- highly recommend this restaurant to all visitors.. Great ambiance!

Raquel V.

Yelp
The very first time we went, it was really good and couldn't wait to go back. The second time was just ok. We enjoyed our food, but for the expense and the anticipation, I expected the food, service and ambiance to WOW me and it didn't.
google avatar

Brenda B.

Yelp
Excellent service. Delicious martinis. The calamari salad was to die for. The swordfish dinner was mediocre -very overcooked. The spinach that accompanied it was perfection.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
The atmosphere and the scenery is absolutely beautiful and the food was awesome every time I'm out in that area that's my favorite restaurant to go to.

Mike B.

Yelp
1 Star We've been coming to Harvest on Fort Pond with a party of 15+ for over 10 years, and it's always been one of Montauk's reliable higher-end dining experiences. Unfortunately, this visit was the worst we've had in a long time. Service was at the bottom of the barrel -- our table was barely cleaned between courses, the water had a harsh chemical taste, and the "family portions," normally generous, felt noticeably rationed. To top it off, the waitresses were curt and unwelcoming, which really took away from the evening. The only saving grace was the hostess, warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She did her best to make things right, but her kindness couldn't fully offset the rest of the night's issues. After a decade of great memories here, I can only hope this was just an off night, because this was not the Harvest we've known and loved. Overall we were very unhappy.
google avatar

Haley R.

Yelp
Montauk staple for our family. Family style food - always delicious and there is something for everyone (even picky eaters and kids). Service is always good. Right on the water, gorgeous view of the sunset. Can sit outside (walk ins only) or reserve a table inside.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
Amazing food with overly generous portions. Everyone was extremely pleasant Out waitress was fantastic

Gabrielle R.

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant for as long as I can remember, it's always been a staple in our trips to Montauk and we rave about it all year long. Unfortunately, last night's experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered the porterhouse, just like we do every year and it was honestly the worst we've ever had. The steak was dry, overcooked, and completely lacking in flavor. We actually had to ask for steak sauce and ketchup just to try to make it edible, something we've never done before. I actually pulled up a picture of the steak we got less than a year ago and it looks completely different. My family didn't want to complain, but I felt I had to say something. I told our server, and she was very kind and understanding, which I appreciated. Our waiter was also incredibly nice, but unfortunately, the food just didn't measure up this time. It was my mother in laws first time there after us raving about it for years and she was not impressed. As much as we've always loved this place and looked forward to it every summer, we're seriously considering trying other restaurants next time we're in Montauk.
google avatar

Erika J.

Yelp
We came in last minute without a reservation, snagged a couple seats at the bar. The service was impeccable. We loved the pancetta shrimp and mussels. Perfectly cooked halibut with a delectable crab risotto. Impressive little neck clam linguine. Great music, beautiful dock for snapping photos. The best food we had in Montauk
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
I was very disappointed & not a fan of the food or service here. I was recommended this place by someone who hasn't been back in a few years so I guess it must not be as good anymore! The ambiance was nice, i enjoyed the patio. We were able to easily get a walk-in reservation and they provided high chairs. However the service and the food were awful. We ordered a bottle of still water that they just put on the table and didn't even pour into our cups for us. The mac n cheese was mediocre, I wasn't a fan. The grilled chicken was a huge miss, it tasted super burnt so I didn't like it at all. the onions were barely grilled and tasted raw. the mashed potatoes were good though. I didn't try the burger but I was told it was also over cooked/ burnt and not that great. Worst of all, everything was very expensive ($18 mac n cheese) so definitely not worth the money. I thought for sure with the prices on the menu it would at least be decent but it was basically inedible. The best item we had was the bread basket or the mac n cheese (which was still a miss). Long line for the women's room. Would not come back.

Aileen A.

Yelp
Favorite place out on Montauk. Food service and ambience are always excellent. it's family style so I would definitely recommend.

Yelp
It's been one of our favorite spots in Montauk for many years. Food, service and ambiance is just wonderful

Yelp
It's so popular they need another building. The best place to eat in Montauk. Difficult to make indoor reservations.

Yelp
Food is always delicious and abundant. Very pleasant staff-always. Never disappointed by The Harvest.

Yelp
Absolutamente todo muy bueno el ambiente, el mesero muy bueno, la comida muy deliciosa, todo a tiempo excelente vino muy buena experiencia.

Yelp
Insane portion sizes but incredible food. Nice views. Service was a little rocky but overall very good meal.
google avatar

Courtney D.

Yelp
Very good family style on the lake! We had a reservation for 5pm right when it opened and the line to get in made me already know it would be a goodie! We enjoyed a spicy pepperoni pizza, burrata, chicken Milanese and Skirt steak. All were cooked extremely well and were tasty. The pizza and skirt steak were the true winners to me, though. We also enjoyed some cocktails which were tasty and strong! Service was attentive and our waitress was incredibly nice. Definitely will go back again if in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and food, view spectacular! A real part of Montauk experience. The sunsets and cuisine never disappoint.

Yelp
Excellent food and excellent service. Large portion meant to be shared and the mussel appetizer was fantastic.
