Hashimoto Contemporary

I would not recommend buying from this gallery. They use Artsy and accepted my offer for a piece of art and my credit card was charged that amount, about 8 hours later decided to cancel my order and had Artsy customer service reach out and let me know my order was being refunded, they did not like the price they agreed to (claimed to hit in error). So now I will not have those funds available for 5-7 business days or the art piece. Artsy states all sales final, but I guess that only goes one way, a gallery can change their mind and no way of reviewing them on Artsy app. They did not even reach out to apologize personally instead choosing to have Artsy apologize for them. Also on Artsy they have for sale a piece art I personally own (that they are asking thousands of dollars for) and just haven’t taken down, so who knows how many pieces they are list that they do not even have. That completely unacceptable especially since you won’t get a refund (dropping of pending charges) for 5-7 business days

Amazing Gallery that supports lots of Emerging Artist, Spacious and Clean. Artworks are nicely hung & when the space is packed with gallery viewers, you can still manage to walk around and enjoy the art.

Foundation of art exhibits in NYC, this is where you see the best. I was here several times for the Erik Jones exhibits, great spot!

Fascinating art curated by super likeable people in a nice space. Definitely worth a visit.

Hashimoto Contemporary is a small art gallery in the Lower East Side (they also have locations in Los Angeles and San Francisco). I stopped by last weekend when I was in NYC for Labor Day for a solo trip because I had read about an exhibition they had at the time in the Times. The work they exhibit is really interesting. It's small but well worth visiting if they have an exhibit you're curious about!

Very nice, welcoming gallery. Exhibition I saw was hung beautifully and documentation informative and complete. I'll definitely keep an eye on what they offer in the future.
