Very delicious food and super friendly service! The atmosphere is warm, the food is fresh and well-seasoned. The grilled dishes are especially recommended. I’ll gladly come back

An incredible atmosphere. We had a wonderful dinner breathing the same air with famous artists and politicians from around the world. It is not just a restaurant, it is a touristic place. The staff is very friendly. Thank you for everything.

If you're craving an authentic beef 🍖 döner kebab in Berlin, this spot is a rare gem. The flavor is truly delicious, and you can watch the entire preparation process unfold before your eyes. Beyond the döner, the menu features other Turkish delights like Iskender kebab and a selection of sweet treats. For fans of Turkish cuisine, this place is absolutely worth a visit!

Hey Berlin

Google
I recently tried Hasir and ordered their kebab with chili sauce. Here’s the breakdown: The Positives: The homemade bread was a standout – incredibly soft, fresh, and delicious. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. The meat (lamb) was flavorful and tender, though it’s worth noting this is only a plus if you enjoy lamb. The Negatives: The salad was pre-mixed, which made it difficult to customize or avoid certain greens if you’re picky. The chili sauce, while clearly homemade, lacked any real spice – a letdown for anyone expecting a kick. I’ve had much better sauces in my kebab-eating experience. Value for Money: At €8 for a takeaway snack, the price felt steep. While the bread and meat were good, the overall taste didn’t justify the cost. Final Verdict: Hasir delivers on freshness and flavor in some areas, but the lackluster sauce and high price make it hard to recommend fully. If you’re nearby and craving lamb kebab, it might be worth a try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. 3/5 stars.

Google
Great Turkish Döner with authentic taste, especially if you skip the sauce. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms. Only downside was the tea, which wasn’t fresh and undrinkable. highly recommended!

The food was great. They had the tastiest and softest ram meat ever. The entry was alway really good.

Google
Best Kebab in Berlin, go there every time I’m back in my hometown. Real meat (not minced like many others) fresh bred and yummy sauces. Staff is not unfriendly but also not super friendly but it’s ok. 8€ is steep but quality is superb.

The ONE Best Dish

Google
Summary: good flavor, but meat dry; friendly service; nice middle eastern flair Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): = small Döner plate (Döner teller) for lunch; nice flavor of meat but dry, one piece was so hard i couldn’t eat it; salad and rice tasty; bread chewy and cold, i don’t understand why they don’t warm it up or serve it fresh Service: + friendly + offered me a small plate as a big one is too much for lunch for me as I need to work again after lunch :) Price: + fair price for value €10.50 for a small plate, coke for €3.5 Atmosphere: + nice middle eastern / Turkish flair - dirty bathrooms

Yelp
Berlin is a large city with many districts. One of the most exciting and fascinating is Kreuzberg, southeast of the center. It is a gateway neighborhood for new immigrants and Turks. As you walk down any street, kebab shops and many other permutations scream at you. We decided to go to Hasir as a good friend from Turkey recommended it. It is an institution and a restaurant empire in the city. The location we went to is on a very busy street, and due to the temperature, we decided to brave it and sit on the sidewalk. It did not disappoint. Their menu is very large, but anything will be good. We ordered to start the tasty Cac⁄k, which is a dip of yogurt, Garlic Cucumber and oil and the ÛmamBay which is eggplant in paprika. Wow! For the main course, we ordered Adana Kebap, which is minced Meat on the skewer with Rice and Salad. Incredible. The Turkish bread was a must, and they kept it coming. The service was fast and attentive, and the whole experience was fun and felt authentic. I highly recommend this or any of their other locations.

Yelp

Yelp
The doner sandwich was excellent, maybe the best I've had. Bread was crusty and fressssh. Veggies were crunchy. Tasty meat was freshly sliced off a doner bigger than yo mama! I ordered it from the street window. I don't speak German but the guy in line behind me translated. You will be asked which sauce, want veggies, and eat in or take out. I said "alles" to the first two and then said take out. He wrapped it in foiIt all worked out. And it was sooo delicious. I got a bottle of beer from the drinkhall around the corner and nommed in the park on a sunny day. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I've lived in Germany in the past and fell in love with Döner. It was a Friday night ritual, Döner and fries, and a little tv to finish out the week. Now I bring students to Germany every couple years and Berlin is always on the list. On top of that Hasir Is always our first meal. The Good: this place is great. The wait staff is good, don't get too excited as it is typical of most German service. Everyone I encountered there was pleasant though. If I can give you some advice...don't go to Germany looking for American service. That's not how Germans operate. They are efficient and aren't there to ask you how your brother's best friend's roommate is doing. They won't bother you a dozen times about if the food is good enough. Once you accept that, you will have a much better experience. So back to the Good...the meat was fresh and delicious as well as all the veggies and sauces. My students, even the picky ones enjoyed their Döner, although some ended up preferring chicken Döner by the time we left Germany. The Bad: again, don't expect American style service and you'll be fine. The prices are on par with what you'd consider for a sit down Döner restaurant in Kreuzberg. A slice of Pizza is going to cost more than the $5 lunch specials at the pizza shop near my house in the middle of NY State. Finally: if you are in Berlin, do yourself a favor and go to Hasir. It was recommended to me by a Berliner and you can't go wrong with that. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
When you talk Döner aka Kebab there are Few places that Rival Hasir. Tradition. I've watched the business Expand from one corner To a whole block. Located In the Soul of Kreuzberg They deliver Turkish Soul Food. During the day and Thru the Night the impeccable Service Never Ends. And as If that wasn't enough the Lamb is Succulent Crispy Edged served with the freshest Veggies known to man. And The freshest bread perfectly Toasted and Sesame Seeded. Halal and Heavenly. teşekkür ederim.

Yelp
Came in and attempted to sit down to dine, service was non existent. Had to ask for a menu after several minutes of just sitting there (servers passing by all around me). Finally got up after no one acknowledged me to take my order. Ended up grabbing a doner kebab sandwich - made with bread not pita (not sure how to describe) to go for €4 from the front counter. Place seemed pretty packed so I assumed it had to be good, at least decent. Flavor was ok, nothing special. Wayyyy to much sauce slathered at the bottom, was like a pool. For the price I didn't expect much anyways, just a quick grab and go. Unfortunately I ended up with a stomach ache shortly after. Could have been anything but this is the first stomach issue I've had and I've been traveling and eating all over Europe for 2 months. Just sayin.... Wouldn't recommend. Many other places in the area to try.

Yelp
Very very very very busy and disorganized. Don't know which waiters are serving who. People from the outside line with the wraps come in and take seats but there are menus. Dirty tables and waiters actively ignore customers. We saw 3 parties between 2-4 people leave as nobody spoke to them for 15-20 minutes after they had sat down. Food is very good but service is the worst I've ever seen. Come when they are not busy
google avatar

Yelp
Funny to see so many 3's, I am picky and I have to give this a solid 4. We had a group of 16 people there in Berlin for a conference, 3 of us were picky Vegans and the rest "meatatarians". With the large group we let the waiter do some of the ordering for us for apps for the table and all were good. The large big flat breads were warm out the oven and low carb diet be damned I dipped into the various speads they brought and all were good. He recommended a mixed grill platter and nearly everything was great. The little lamb chops, man not sure what they marinated those in but I'd like the receipe!! Overall this place is great and not sure how you wouldn't see at least 4 stars. Those lamb chops were a 5+. Not sure when I would ever get back to Berlin but I'd find this place again.

Yelp
This place was un. believable. Located just across the street from the Kreuzberg Museum, it was the perfect place to eat when we arrived early for a tour. I am SO happy we stumbled in here, seeing as it was the only place that had a menu in English outside (ugh, Americans.) It took a while to get a waiter to come to our table and take our order, but that didn't even matter after the first bite of food. We started off with a plate of hummus with some pita bread. The hummus was so delicious and fresh, and the bread was soft and warm and so incredibly good. I had the sis-kebap, juicy, flavorful lamb cooked on a skewer, it came with rice and a salad of lettuce, onion and tomato. I savored every bite. One of my friends had the Lamb Saute with Eggplant and Garlic Yogurt, also incredibly delicious. When she was done, we ordered more pita bread to dip in the leftover sauce. Overall, this was the best meal I had while in Berlin. Definitely a must-try if you're in the Kreuzberg area.

Yelp
Overrated. Overpriced. And to top it off the service is incredibly rude. They obviously need to hire waiters who know what it means to serve customers. Never again.

Yelp
We asked someone in this neighborhood (which is filled with Turkish restaurants) for a recommendation on where to get good Turkish food, and they told us to go to Hasir. A warning for vegetarians (like me) -- the entrees are all meat. However, the meze platters (cold and warm) are all veg. We got the cold meze platter and an order of fried artichokes stuffed with cheese, and it was plenty of food for my mom and me -- particularly with bread and Efes beer to go with it. My mom -- who has spent a lot of time in Turkey both working and on holiday -- declared that the food at Hasir was just as good as anything she'd had in Istanbul. Two thumbs up!

Yelp
I didn't really have the best luck in Berlin. Was there for a little over a day and managed to get sick, have a hat stolen from my hostel, and rack my nuts on a waist high pole walking in broad daylight. (true story) If there were ever a bright spot to my visit (besides my friend Svenja) it'd def be my meal here. Anyone who's never been to this country take it from me...forget the curry wursts and go for an Iskander kabob from Hasir. It's melt in your mouth meats and pieces of pita with a tomato and yogurt sauce combination that will make you forget anything bad that's going on in your life. I don't have an expert level of Turkish food, but after eating this I'm fearful that all others will be ruined.
google avatar

Josh K.

Yelp
These guys are very successful, but I feel like it is your normal Turkish street food served on a nicer platter and for much more money, especially if you're ordering meat. We got adana kebap and something else that had an eggplant sauce with similar meat (it wasn't apparent the meat would be almost identical until it showed up.) It came to about 30 euro which to me is unheard a) for Berlin and b) for this kind of food. I would sooner have gone to the burger version of the place across the street. The fact that you can charge this much in Kreuzberg (and no, of course it's not just this place) is a sign that the neighborhood is really becoming a little wealthier and less 'raw'.

Yelp
Delicious food! The simple lamb kabob with rice and salad was so mouth watering, and the döner with tomato sauce and yogurt was more and more delicious with each bite. Everyone on here says the service was poor, but we were seated right away, the food and drinks were prompt, and our server was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hearty and flavorful meal.

Yelp
I am 100% convinced that this cannot be the ONLY awesome Turkish spot in the hood, regardless of what Anthony Bourdain said on the Berlin episode of No Reservations. But alas, it was damn tasty. We started off with two Cokes and an order of the cigars. Tasty but VICIOUSLY HOT! Beware of your first bite! It came with a refreshing herbed garlicky yogurt sauce, a lot like mastomousir in Persian food. We asked for a side of spicy sauce (scharf sauce?) and the waiter brought out the weird gelatinous gooey ketchupy shit that all the other doner spots around here seem to have. Then our entrees. I can't remember the name of it, but I ordered the "Lamb Saute with Eggplant and Garlic Yogurt" and my boyfriend ordered the lamb kebabs with salad and rice. Mine was delicious but his won hands down. The cube lamb pieces were tender and full of flavor. My lamb bits were a little stringy, definitely not the choice cuts. The eggplant garlic puree was delicious! All in all, a pretty good and filling meal for about 32€. One word, but come here when you want a loooong and leeeeisurely dinner. We went on a really crowded night (Wednesday???) but our waiter was absent most of the time. All in all, we were out of there in two hours. However, we did notice couples ordering sandwiches from the front, then taking seats to eat? Will investigate... I'll update this as soon as I go back to try something else so I can compare. Viet T., I'm hitting up Safir next!!

Yelp
I'm craving Hasir as I write this review. It has been two days since my last döner at Hasir and I'm feeling a bit sad and lonely. All jokes aside, this place is worth the hype. Some pointers for the newbies: 1. When they ask you which sauce, tell them ALL THREE. The combination of all three sauces will make you understand why this place is so popular. 2. You can order the döner in pita or wrap format. 3. Just save yourself the hassle and tell them to put everything on it. You won't regret it unless you don't know or don't want to know what heaven tastes like. Bonus points for their friendly staff that is patient with english speakers.

Yelp
Overall, Berlin is not known for its spices or delicacy in meals but Hasir has been able to bring a delightful take on Turkish food to the traditional culinary landscape of Berlin. Having been to Turkey recently, I have fallen in love with the food and can be quite picky as I now know how delicious it can be. Brought here by a Turkish colleague, I was impressed by the authenticity of the restaurant. Having options from around the country (something my colleague could point out to us, highlighting which region each platter was from) we enjoyed a wide variety of what the restaurant had to offer. The six of us ordered communally which ended up being a great option. We shared just about every appetizer (and were impressed by them all!) and ordered a variety of meals to share amongst us. The Adana Yogurtiu was so great that I ended up coming back later in the week to have it again!
google avatar

Heru T.

Yelp
Went there and ordered beef kebab and chicken steak. The food was good, the meat was okay.. But just be aware, it is a pricey way to enjoy kebab.. It costs around 13€/portion..
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
This used to be the best döner I'd ever set my mouth on, but toward the end of last summer they made some changes. I don't especially mind that they raised the price from 2.50€ to 3€, but at the same time they changed their döner from half chicken half lamb, to pure lamb.. which just makes it taste fattier. The workers are sometimes curt, sometimes nice. It's for sure decent quality overall.. partly why they own half the block with their expansion restaurants. Looking for my new favorite döner place... where are you?!
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
When you pop into a spot late at night to get a doner and they say they are out...you lose a star. However, the Adana kebap platters satisfied the hungry savages. Hell, I even ate the accompanying salad and rice...and that never happens.
google avatar

Scott A.

Yelp
Turkish food doesn't get much better than at Hasir's. if you want a quick Döner Kabap order when you come in the door, otherwise take a seat and order a plate with salad and rice. The ingredients are fresh and tasty, spices but not overwhelming. I like item 44 on the menu a spiced meat cooked on a skewer over charcoal, served with rice and salad. I also enjoy the strong Turkish tea.
google avatar

Ryan L.

Yelp
Really great Turkish kebabs. The platonic ideal of kebabs. Busy in the evenings, but friendly staff, a surprisingly large number of tables, and of course great food. The strongest items are adana kebab and the various grilled (american style shish kebab) meats. A decent selection of drinks and appetizers, and some authentic soups. The deserts are pretty weak, so I'd probably go elsewhere for that, although the Turkish Tea and Turkish Coffee are both excellent ways to end a meal.
google avatar

Onur E.

Yelp
Food tastes okay, but the waiters are rude.. This is a popular place, as it is one of the oldest "döner" places in Berlin and they have a great location, which provides them a constant flow of guests. However, not having fear for losing customers, the waiters are confident in yelling at you and being rude at you. I've been there several times, but the last time was very disturbing. We were 4 at the table. After being done with the food, we ordered 4 teas. The waiter put 2 on the table, turned around and asked the room who had 2 teas.. We said told him they're ours, and he put one more tea on the table and yelled again in the room who ordered the tea. I said it is also for us and he yelled at me "I am shouting here why don't you respond?!".. What the heck? I won't give them business any more..

John E.

Yelp
I was told to order #43 by the hurried but friendly waiter. He was right! Step right up for some fine doner fare which is clearly better than anything I've experienced in my hometown of NYC. Yes, I'm sure visitors of Turkey will sniff. But if you try Hasir, Turkey natives and tourists alike may be satisfied, too.

Yelp
What a great place for Turkish food, with 4 locations in the city. Coming here though near the New Koln neighborhood was like a trip back to Istanbul. Really. Reminded me exactly of the good food I had there. Walked by the place and the aromas coming out were just divine. Immediately had to say to my wife, we are coming back here for lunch, and what a great choice that was. Awesome kabob and fantastic mezze. The hummus here is some of the best I have had. Excellent stewed veggies and delicious meats. Of course they also serve true traditional Turkish tea and of course Turkish coffee. Don't forget the apple tea as well. Very well priced too with solid service, even when busy. Great place for lunch.

Yelp
Right next to Safir Restaurant which I did a review for already. This place is a tiny bit more expensive than Safir - next door. The food is good. Nice portions. I ordered lamb kabob cubes grilled over a fire. Their lamb has some herbs and spices marinated. Although you see the herbs, the taste isn't overwhelming or anything. I also tried their tripe soup - "Flecksuppe" which was alright. It has a milky butterish broth with a hint of sourness. This place was pretty crowded unlike Safir's next door. So if you are in a hurry, just go to Safir because I think the food is just as good there and it is a bit brighter due to the lighter colored walls.

Yelp
Be careful about what you pay! Food was ok, a bit pricey. Service was slow and unmotivated. When we asked for the bill, the waiter showed us the total on his invoice machine, which was higher than expected and demanded the payment right away. Not very convinced, we requested the receipt and it turned out the real amount was 7€ less! No apology, nothing. I wonder how often this "happens" - always request the printed bill before paying people!

Yelp
Good turkish restaruant in Kreuzberg. Looks like being a kind of an institution. Always a lot people there from the borough or just passing by. Grilled lamb and chicken meat, veal minced meat döner (similar to kebab). Soups, patés, vegetables and pastries. Turkish desserts. Worth a try. highs: taste, tradition, open late night lows: cosmopolitan&provincial at the same time (could be a 'high' though) My favourite: lentil soup, aubergine paste, humus paste, grilled lamb, grilled chicken

Yelp
One of the pricier places on this strip...but not expensive by any means. They serve up the usual array of Turkish mezze delights, in very healthy portions. 5 dishes and 2 beers ran us 35 Euro and we were way full. I found the service to be quite good, perhaps they've improved since some of the previous reviews. There are plenty of tables outside to enjoy a sunny day, buy if you want one arrive early.

Yelp

Yelp
Doner take away. If you are looking for a gourmet like doner than this is the place to go. Different assortment of spices and herbs used than in the usual kebab which turned it into a great experience for my taste buds.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Only reason they get two stars is because the food was actually good; however, the service was probably the worst service we have ever had in Europe, never-mind Germany. I'm trying to conjure up a reason as to why the service was so incredibly poor--was it because we weren't Turkish? Maybe because we weren't Berliners? Maybe because they just don't have an absolute clue about how to conduct themselves in a service based industry? Simply put--good food....absolutely egregious service!
google avatar

lena k.

Yelp
I still see this place in my dreams and if I could, I wish to bring this to New York! There is absolutely no great doner kebab (to this standard) anywhere in the U.S!!! The meat they use is veal and the Turkish bread they use for the sandwich is almost like fluffy foccacia. Yummmm. And the delicious white sauce and hot sauce inside... oh boy.........

Lilly C.

Yelp
We were there at 8 pm and the waiter took our orders at about half past 8 but our food wasn't ready until 10:45!!!! After we complained about the late, they told us that they were busy and the restaurant was full! But I think they want to keep the guests longer in there to prove their popularity or something... The waiter also accused us for lying, since we told them if they were so busy, why the other guests who came with us and sat at the next table, were already finished?! He said that he shouldn't accept just everything we say and left us without even considering our complains. That was so impolite and unprofessional! I will never go to this place again. By the way, the toilettes were so dirty and there was neither soap nor toilette paper!!!

Edward B.

Yelp
Decent service, old, dry meat. They advertise fresh meat, but I'm pretty sure it's only for decoration. The vegetables weren't fresh or amazing either. It's not the worst, but it isn't good. But the to go Döner Is the best in the area
google avatar

Flavor G.

Yelp
longstanding turkish restaurant serving standard fare. you'll find out here that there's much more to turkish cuisine than doner kebabs. main dishes will run you around 9 euros. get your lamb and yogurt fixes here. they have a bunch of locations in the city, though i've only been to this one. no particular dish seems to stand out on their menu, but i've never had anything bad here.

Yelp
Crap service, decent food. It's a cut above a kebab shop but charging 3 times the price so it should be. I don't think I'll be rushing back here, unlike my faves in manchester....

Yelp
The closest real to the original Turkish doner kebab you can get out of turkey !!! A MUST stop to a Turkish food admires.

Yelp
traditional turkish food. super tasty and fresh. grilled over hot coals with all the fixings on the side! a great restaurant if you like lamb. plus this place is kinda special to me since i went on a first date with my boyfriend here süsse.

Yelp
Good nosh for post New Years Eve excess. Busy with people having the same idea as us. Both lamb dishes: kofka and kebab wre moist and tasty but for EUR9.50 some rice would have helped rather than just bread.
google avatar

Corey J.

Yelp
Will give it a 5. Not sure how kebabs could get any better. Ordered several dishes and all were fantastic. The meats were tender and moist. Everything you would expect at a Turkish shop. If your going for kebabs you are going for the food. The service is what it is and is part of the experience. If service is what you are out for, there are loads of 5 star restaurants that are available to suit your need.

Yelp
Very busy for lunch, waiters almost forgot us. Ordered the kebab, when it arrived it was quite good, with som decent bread. All in all a ok lunch, try it if you are in the neighbourhood..

Yelp
Although the food (Lamb with eggplant and yougurt)was fine, the wait (1.5 hours) for the food once we were seated was intolerable. One of my guests was even told that her tea(!) would have to wait 1/2 hour!

Jerry K.

Yelp
Quaint, very busy place. We had dinner there and the food was excellent! The atmosphere was great. Frequented by many Turks. The front was open to the street. The waiter was really friendly, spoke excellent english and the service was GREAT!!!! One drawback (this is a problem all over Berlin too) was smokers were allowed outside on the sidewalk tables and the front of the restaurant was open but the breeze kept it mostly away. (In Berlin there are lots of smokers)

Yelp
The original Donner sandwich was invented here

Yelp
This restaurant was a total disappointment... Meals were not tasty at all (there were four of us, all ordered a different dish, all were very disappointed...), the meat is nothing special...The siders are few and totally banal. The service is very poor. The waiter literally yelled at us because he deemed we were not fast enough to decide on the tip amount... I REALLY do NOT recommend! Your experience of doner kebab in Berlin will definitely be better in any other places than this one.
google avatar

Rob C.

Yelp
didn't realize there was such a large Turkish late night area until came here. the food was so amazing. the doner kebap and iskender kepab still memorable.

Pierre A.

Yelp
We have waited 15min before ordering, 40 min to get the starters and another 30min to have our main dish... Way too long, no polite words or care, and above all, the food taste has nothing exceptional.

Kwnstantina L.

Yelp
The service was really rude. We hadnt even finished with our desert and the waiter took it and gave us the bill and he demanded to pay him now. The food was average and i think quite expensive.
