Haslla Museum Hotel

Quirky and fun. Great hotel and great service. Upon arrival the receptionist had our papers ready and was eager to help. She was well spoken and very kind. The interior is very unique. The only down side of this hotel was its restaurant considering it's proximity to other restaurants and eating places. They only served breakfast and pizza which you can only order as room service before 6pm.

Perfect for art lovers, this hotel give a chance to sleep in a museum !|Decor is incredible and works of art are international level. The room is quite different than other hotels especially the bed but it is real experience to be in fusion with art :)|Same for breakfast served with plants and herbs from the garden. Surroundings are stunning.

I stayed in the hotel last week and the experience was great.||I've been in many hotels around the globe and this would be one of top ten in my list.||||I liked the hotel because of its view and calmness.||||It is kind of remote area from Gangneung, ||but if you can drive there, it would not matter and the view of seaside is very nice. ||Being remote from rural area means it is very calm and its facility - especially its atmosphere which is like an art museum or gallery gives unique impression. ||||In the morning, you can see the sunrise from the horizon. fantastic. ||||Only one tiny hiccup was the quality of its breakfast, ||I was looking for something fresh - fruit or salad or even some herbs.||unfortunately, when I visited the hotel, there was only one menu. ||It was kind of slow season last week, they probably changed their menu for slow seasons.

Everything were perfect as staffs were informative and polite. Room felt like I was walking into a museum or gallery as all the furniture were created by owner. View by the window was spectacular with ocean. It's a must place to visit before your time is up.

An amazing hotel. Huge room, bonkers bath that would fit ten people, with a cliff top view directly over the sea. ||||Fab sculpture garden in the trees outside. ||||Lovely restaurant in the basement, good value with a seven course set menu at w43000 inc wine. We were here overnight for a meeting recently. The premises was very arty and interesting with lots of art style in the appearance , the furniture as well as outlets. My room came with a giant wooden bowl as my bed. It gave me blissful sleep as if I was enclosed in a cocoon. According to the hotel manager the large wooden bowl represents the uterus. ||The nearby Haslla Art World located on the hill behind was full of arty rendition in the open spaces. There were a few outstanding sculptures that may tickle your mind. ||Overall a pleasing environment that makes you desire to plan for another visit. ||

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2016. The staff were super friendly from the moment we booked via email till we left. We didn't have a car but just used taxis to get around. It cost us approx W22000 to get from the bus terminal in Gangneugung and then about W4000 each time we went into Jongdinjin. Be warned it is a REALLY long walk along the beach into Jongdinjin. The restaurant dinner is ok, nothing special but the breakfast is quite unique and even though we initially turned up our noses it was quite satisfying. The rooms are certainly unique although the beds a bit hard by western standards. Btw the light switches are on the remote- took us ages to work that one out ;-)

Great hotel, very out of the ordinary. Highly suggest you get there by car as it is needed to go to the neighboring places... ||Staff is friendly and helpful! Rooms are artsy and not the usual hotel room you’d expect! Definitely nice to visit if you’re in the area, but go there by car.
