"While some mosques are limited exclusively to Muslim worshippers, many others allow modestly-dressed visitors for tours between prayers, like the Hassan II Mosque in Morocco."

Absolutely amazing to see from both the interior and exterior. The inside is full of very intricate wood and stone carvings while the outside is absolutely jaw-dropping to look at. It can be seen from much if Casablanca and is lit up at night. The best place to get a view of the mosque is near the lighthouse. I also highly recommend that you tour the inside. It is cheap and much worth it.

I had an incredible visit to the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. The location right on the Atlantic coast is breathtaking, and the architecture is absolutely stunning—from the towering minaret to the intricate mosaics, marble floors, and hand-carved ceilings. I joined one of the guided tours, which are required for non-Muslim visitors, and it was well worth it—informative and enriching. The prayer hall is vast and filled with natural light, and every detail reflects Morocco’s rich artistic heritage. A must-see landmark if you're in Casablanca.

The Hassan II Mosque is truly an awe-inspiring site, remarkable in every sense—from its breathtaking architecture and intricate craftsmanship to its impressive engineering. As one of the few mosques in the world open to non-Muslims, and the only one in Morocco, visiting offers a rare and enriching cultural experience. I highly recommend taking a guided tour to fully appreciate the vision, effort, and artistry that went into creating this architectural gem. The stories behind its construction add so much depth to the visit. We also opted for the skip-the-line tickets, which proved to be a great decision, especially since the crowds can vary depending on the day. An unforgettable highlight and a must-see while in Casablanca!

A must-see in Casablanca! The Hassan II Mosque is one of the most impressive landmarks in Morocco. The architecture is breathtaking, with intricate details, a stunning minaret, and a unique location right on the ocean. The guided tour is very informative and allows you to appreciate the beauty and cultural richness of this place. Truly unforgettable!

The third largest mosque in the world. An incredible structure built in only six years. All the material was sourced from Marocco and both the exterior and interior is a sight to see! You have to purchase tickets in a building next to the Mosque and all the visits have to be done in the company of a guide. You will be paired with a guide based on your language and the groups can be rather large at times. Well worth a visit as you walk through this incredible structure!

he Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca is truly awe-inspiring. Perched on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, it’s one of the largest mosques in the world and an architectural masterpiece. The intricate tile work, marble floors, and towering minaret—the tallest in the world—make it a must-visit for anyone in Morocco. The interior is just as impressive, with a grand prayer hall that can accommodate thousands of worshippers. Guided tours are available and highly recommended, as they provide fascinating insight into the mosque's design, history, and cultural significance. The ocean views from the mosque are stunning, especially at sunset. Clean, well-maintained, and welcoming to visitors of all backgrounds, the Hassan II Mosque is not just a religious site—it's a symbol of Moroccan craftsmanship and pride.

It is beautiful and the tour was revealing. Definitely it is worth doing the tour over going around yourself. You can buy the tickets there through a machine in the reception of the museum or at the ticket desk (however, there might be a big queue so I suggest going to the machine, it's quicker, easier and you can pay by card, so you don't have to spend your dirhams). I must say that the museum is not worth it though.

My jaw was on the floor during my time visiting this mosque. It's very impressive. Is there a word more than magnificent? The sheer size of the mosque and the surrounding complex, the dramatic ocean in the background, the colorful mosaic on the wall and on the floor, the elegant chandelier, and that's not even the best part. The best part, to me, is how serene the mosque is. There were many guided big group tours inside the mosque, but I can hardly hear anything. Even with all those people inside, the mosque is still quiet and peaceful. If I live in Casablanca, I can see myself coming to this mosque if I need some quiet time to get some break from the world.
