Cool, clean, virtually new hostel with all the amenities in a great location. Unbelievably reasonable prices at ~2000-3000 yen/person. We paid $91/night for four on Expedia for high season.
We stayed here as a family of four (kids 15 and 18) for two nights and enjoyed a different type of lodging that was a great value compared to older nearby hotels. Everything is highly maintained, the private shower rooms are fantastic, and the shared kitchen and dining area is great for preparing breakfast or dinner together.
Each person receives a 4'x7' bunk area with a small locker, mattress, pillow, light blanket, and privacy curtain. It is pretty comfortable sleeping and everyone is quiet in the 10-bed bunk rooms all of the time.
We parked our car a block away for 1000 yen/24 hours (overnight nearby for 200 yen). There are two bike-share stations within a block where you can rent for 200 yen/bike/day (could ride from train station). Many restaurants, parks, gardens, and museums all within walking distance too.
