A Decent Stay with Noticeable Gaps.
I stayed one night for a work trip in a Junior Suite, and the experience landed somewhere between comfortable and slightly worn-out.
The layout worked well with a small living area separated from the bed, two TVs, a compact pantry for tea and coffee, a mini fridge, and a proper desk and closet. The bathroom was spacious despite not having a tub. The only thing that took away from the first impression was the musty, old-carpet smell that lingered throughout the room.
Breakfast looked promising with a wide spread of Malaysian and Western dishes, but the flavours didn’t match the variety. Most options felt heavy and carb-centric, and while it filled the stomach, it wasn’t a meal you’d get excited about repeating.
My room faced the pool, so even though I didn’t swim, I saw the scene from above. It stayed busy with families and kids most of the day, which makes it lively if that’s your thing, but probably loud if you’re after something calm.
Check-in was the slowest part of the stay. There weren’t many people waiting, but the process still dragged to almost twenty minutes with no clear reason, which wasn’t the best start after a long drive.
Overall, the stay was workable for a business trip. The suite’s layout helps, but the room smell, average breakfast and slow check-in keep it from feeling truly smooth or polished.
