We had an amazing time at Hattvoka Lodge. We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments.
The rooms were modern yet kept their historical charm, like old wood floors that were refinished, sea related decor, and spacious whitewashed bathrooms, including heated floors. There is also a laundry room on the property which was appreciated given the length of our trip in Norway.
The employees were all so friendly and helpful. Anna was great and helped ensure we had a nice welcome, showing us around the property.
I saw reviews complaining about the views and the smell, but if you're staying in a fishing village that's what you should expect! It's part of the experience. The views were exactly what we wanted and expected: waking up to the water, the cod plant, and colorful boats.
One thing to note: their check in is only 3-8pm. This was not in the listing when we booked through American Airlines, so please keep that in mind.
Also make sure to book a dinner reservation at their restaurant, FANGST. It was one of my favorite dining experiences ever.
