We had an amazing time at Hattvoka Lodge. We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments. The rooms were modern yet kept their historical charm, like old wood floors that were refinished, sea related decor, and spacious whitewashed bathrooms, including heated floors. There is also a laundry room on the property which was appreciated given the length of our trip in Norway. The employees were all so friendly and helpful. Anna was great and helped ensure we had a nice welcome, showing us around the property. I saw reviews complaining about the views and the smell, but if you're staying in a fishing village that's what you should expect! It's part of the experience. The views were exactly what we wanted and expected: waking up to the water, the cod plant, and colorful boats. One thing to note: their check in is only 3-8pm. This was not in the listing when we booked through American Airlines, so please keep that in mind. Also make sure to book a dinner reservation at their restaurant, FANGST. It was one of my favorite dining experiences ever.

I can’t say enough good things about Hattvika Lodge. We had an excellent visit there. The staff are so kind and welcoming. We had to change our trip dates unexpectedly due to events out of our control, and the staff at Hattvika were wonderful about the change. We arrived at the rescheduled date to find friendly and helpful staff, a clean and peaceful cabin, and a very well stocked kitchen. The beds were incredibly comfortable too. There are a few incredible hikes nearby and the Leknes airport is only about a 10 minute drive away. ||Some things to note: |- The laundry is shared, the laundry room is in the main building, it has two washing machines and a dryer. It was wonderful to have the option to wash clothes during our trip!|- The road leading to the lodge is dirt and it is up a hill that could be considered steep for people who are used to flat terrain. |- The walkway directly in front of the robua cabins is open to all guests, and people walk by to get to the sauna or the restaurant/reception. |- There is a gap between the floor and the shower doors (which I’ve seen in a number of hotels in Norway) so when you shower, water can spread over the bathroom floor.

Hattvika Lodge was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our 16 day trip around Norway. We stayed in a Hillside cabin, and found the room to be very comfortable and well set up. It looks exactly like the photos on the website. The location of the property is great. It's perfect for exploring the Lofoten Islands. ||The staff at the lodge is great, super welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is very good and the service top notch. The owners are always on hand, and very active with guests. We did a kayaking tour and loved it, Nikola was so patient and kind. ||I highly recommend this property.

We loved our time (1st week of September) at the Hattvika Lodge. Our rorbu was spacious, clean, and felt like home. The staff, food, ambiance, location were all perfect. This is a perfect place to stay if you want to experience a relaxing time in the lofoten. We got to see the Northern lights right outside our door. We will return someday.

Beautiful minimalist rooms & friendly staff||Loved the minimalist room style and the nook to sit. Breakfast was amazing and special call out to Chef Emrik who really took care of us at breakfast. Staff was very helpful and sweet and courteous ||Views are not that great from each and every room, good to be aware and check properly, if you really want a view.

The most comforting and charming hotel! We stayed in their converted fisherman’s cabins along the harbour and they were so beautiful. It’s very peaceful and the bed is so comfortable - you will have the best sleep of your life. It’s perfectly centrally located on the island. Close to the Leknes airport. They have so many amazing activities at the hotel like kayaking, or their amaaazing sauna. But it’s also really close to other activities that you can drive to- like the Reinebringen hike, Haukland beach, Ballstad Fishing Tours and Unstad Arctic Surf. The restaurant is also AMAZING!!! Some of the best food we had on the island 😍 We absolutely loved it here and will definitely come back!!

This is a gorgeous lodge, truly exceptional setting and attention to detail in the decor evident everywhere. Quiet elegance but no stuffiness and works so beautifully with the gorgeous surroundings. The restaurant is truly superb as well - not always a given in Norway. The staff of the lodge and the restaurant could not be more helpful and friendly. It is very close to Leknes airport. ||It was annoying to have a full kitchen but no coffee supplies, no salt. there is a French press machine but no milk or creamer or coffee pods as we’ve had everywhere else we’ve been. Especially the coffee situation. We assume they want to encourage you to buy their breakfast (excellent but not included in the overnight rate). It just felt ungenerous in an otherwise very generous and hospitable place.

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying on Lofoten. The room had a beautiful modern mountain feel, the staff was very kind and the food was amazing. Room was spacious, clean, beautiful views. Breakfast was fantastic. The sauna is epic. The staff was attentive, knowledgable and kind. It felt like a true luxury experience. We stayed multiple places on the island and both agreed this was the best. We intend to come back and stay for a longer time using it as a home base to explore the islands. Strongly recommend!
