Love their dogs! I was initially disappointed when they closed their S Arlington location but kept an eye out for their “re-opening”. Thankfully they did and I had to go. I love how there is a wide selection to choose from and you can tailor orders to suit your needs. Of the many things I’ve tried I have never been disappointed. All the food is great. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. There’s free parking which makes visits easy. Interestingly I decided to try their bacon jam smash burger, although I don’t care for blue cheese. I still enjoyed it but need to remember to change out the cheese. My wife had the Chicago, and we rounded things out with rings and garlic Parmesan fries. IMHO, the garlic Parmesan fries are a MUST! Sooo good.

Google
We ordered catering for 40 people, and it was an absolute hit! The half smoke bar and beef dog bar were crowd favorites. The toasted, flavorful buns were unlike anything any of us had ever had. The chili topping was exceptional, and the spread of high-quality condiments truly elevated it. But what truly set this apart was the outstanding service. Every detail was handled with care and professionalism. This was, hands down, the best catering experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

Google
Haute fries were the best tasting fries I’ve ever eaten. Loved the combo of curry ketchup and sriracha mayo. The Chicago Dog and Three Piece Suit were phenomenal! Legit milk shake as well! Presentation was great as well.

Google
Our brief visit to the DC area afforded us a Sunday lunch of a hot dog, brat and fries. The dogs were well prepared and fries were hot. Well done! We also observed the interaction of the host (owner / manager?) with older patrons and kids from the neighborhood and each was heart warming. The kids were young, but polite, with simple requests that normally would be refused in this day and age but were warmly received and granted. Kindness and courtesy were in abundance during our meal.

Google
$8-9 for a hot dog? No thanks. Their “half smoke” hot dogs are completely burnt and black and dried up. You can get better hot dogs from Costco and for way cheaper. The business does not seem to understand that a hot dog should not be completely dried up and burnt, even saying it’s “described” that way on the menu, okay so you make dried up hot dogs then? If you are a hot dog fan, go anywhere else please. It’s way overpriced.

My first visit to this neighborhood spot. I have an affinity for this spot which used to be a favorite 😍 Backyard Barbeque. I tested out the Bahn Mi hot 🌭. The brioche bun was so buttery. I might've enjoyed it a bit more toasted, but I couldn't ven bothr to finish that thought since I inhaled it! There are. Bunch of craft sodas that were tempting and I almost bought until I remembered I gave up soda this month. Enjoyed a pleasant chat with one of owners. I hear about the history of the shop. She was the one who designed the cute space that maximizes the seating for the small storefront. I love the hot pink wall and bespoke neon signs. Just delightful. Wish them many moons of success so I can come back and try more dogs!

Google
Unbelievably delicious!!! Chicago dog is on point. The Betty White burger is amazing and has actual slices of jalapeno! Three Piece is delicious! Everything here is delicious! We're so lucky this place exists! I would go here twice per day if I could afford it. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. Thank you and keep killing it! Don't change.

Google
Love the burgers, and hot dogs. The Garlic parmesan fries were delicious and they use fresh cheese. Young lady in the front was so sweet! Thanks

Yelp
Bad service. No one at counter but teenager behind clearly hiding from customers. From what I could tell, poor beer selection. Too bad bc it otherwise looked like a perfectly pleasant place. Save your time, I walked out.

Yelp
The Old Town location has a special place in my heart (may it rest in peace) but thankfully this one is still just as tasty. The dog had the perfect snap when you first bite into it in that iconic buttery bun and the fries are delicious. The woman at the register even brought out food out to the table! We didn't love the sodas but that's not on them.

Yelp
Burger review. Happy to finally eat at this place, as it had been on my 'radar' for a while due to its proximity to Mom's house. Unfortunately, it left more to be desired. I didn't try the hot dogs, but I don't think I would at those prices. I'll say first off, that the woman who took my order was very nice. She might've been doubling on kitchen duties that day as well. Empty dining room, a few to-go orders. The smash burger was kind of wet; the dominant taste was that filmy oily slime you get when something is too greasy. The ingredients do seem 'fresh', but perhaps there is too-far-in-advance prep work. Bacon and jalapeños not very discernible. Onion rings were good, and seem to be made in-house with full onion slices of varying sizes. The house sauce is mayo-based, but not super interesting, imo. To compare it to Five Guys would be unfair, but I personally like the FG on Broad Street a lot more. Next time I'm in town, I will continue my search.

Yelp
Haute dogs is back at the county fair. The half smoke was much better than the Fenway. It was basically the perfect hot dog, great toppings!

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise. We went for lunch on Mother's Day and the food and service blew our minds. The hotdog flavors were so intriguing that we ordered half of the menu. Everything was fresh, juicy, and flavorful. We also ordered the French Onion Hamburger and it melted in our mouths. This restaurant is a must-try. The space isn't very big, but it's big enough for 6-8 people to eat inside and there's seating outside. #HappyEating

Yelp
Convenient place to stopby when craving for quick meal/snack. I tried the chicago style hotdog which was good. I would agree that there is slightly a bit too much roll for the dog.

Lisa A.

Yelp
I was craving a New England hot dog! Found this hidden gem in Arlington. I got my NE hot rolls along with some fresh cut fries and onion rings. Hit the spot and my craving! Was delicious. Just a little bit too much roll for the dog.

Yelp
Haute dogs was quick, delicious, and fancier than expected. The owners were very kind and patient and made great conversation. The space was cozy but spacious. We had the Fenway, Bombshell, and Plus the dog with a side of Garlic Parmesan fries. It was delicious and the ingredients were so fresh!

Yelp
This is a great spot! The prices are definitely steep, but right now at this time with the economy pretty much everything is expensive. The hot dogs are absolutely fantastic and are 100% grass-fed beef. The bun it is placed into is awesome, and super soft. Kind of like a brioche bun. It's not a standard hot dog bun. You can also choose a gluten-free bun if you please. They have beer, wine, and even milkshakes too. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This gourmet hot dog place is incredibly tasty. I've been coming to the Alexandria location for almost 10 years. Love love love!!

Jaime L.

Yelp
Just ordered for the first time. I believe I met the owner, I asked her for some recommendations and I have to say she was spot on! Definitely recommend and will be eating here again!
google avatar

Yelp
I've gone here twice so far. The Betty white burger is awesome. Onion rings were good as well. Food came out fast and hot. Great service.

Yelp
I'm from New York where the best food is on the planet but this place is truly amazing. I enjoyed myself. I'm definitely going back again.

Yelp
Service, cleanliness and food. Per a recommendation traveled a distance for what I thought would be be a great hotdog experience. Unfortunately I was very disappointed

Yelp
I love this place or at least their food and menu!! The hotdogs are awesome so many different varieties of how it's dressed and they are ALL good. This type I had the German bratwurst- smaller than expected but fantastic. Generous with the sauerkraut. I also had the strawberry milkshake which was excellent. The inside seating is okay not great and it was not clean on the tables or seats - had to ask to get it cleaned. They were happy to do so though. Parking is available but a tad tight. So I say a 5 for the food assuming the niche they are in. They have delicious burgers and fries as well. 3 for ambiance/seating/comfort and 3 1/2 for service. Definitely go for the food.

Yelp
Well...it was a good idea. The food was definitely interesting and unusual. I guess our family is more of a traditional hot dog place. So the menu was not our style. But something else which was not our style. The prices! For a hot dog! No thanks. We decided that yes, we tried it. We didn't like it. We have simple tastes and next time it's going a few doors down and picking up a Big Bite for much cheaper. I do wish the business the best. Just not our thing.

Yelp
The young man at the counter was super helpful and friendly. There is an interesting mix of toppings and styles of hot dogs, and of beverages. But this New Yorker only gives it three stars for the food and an extra star for the service. Other people love the bun for my taste it was too soft and it appears to have been grilled. I don't need that extra fat. The dog was slender. So I walked away kind of on the unsatisfied side. Still looking for a great hot dog in the Arlington area.

Yelp
A gorgeous spot in a suburban strip mall, Haute Dogs is trendy with a wide variety of menu items, including hot dogs, smash burgers, lamb sausages, and lobster rolls. We came in to eat in store, it is pretty small so I can assume on a weekend there isn't much room to sit but we saw quite a few people doing take out. Staff is friendly, definitely some younger folks manning the front but service was quick and efficient. Yes, they don't have your typical Pepsi or coke products but who cares? Go to 711 and grab your drink, but you will be missing out on the great local beer and wine selection they have. Foodwise we got the OBX dog, the 3 piece suit, and the baked potato tots. I also tried out three extra sauces, the Korean bbq, the chipotle mayo, and the ranch. The buns they use are a 5/5, some of the best buns I've had. The toppings were also great, especially the chili as it had great flavor. The mustard and coleslaw on my dog were ok- not a ton of flavor and I wish the coleslaw was slightly creamier. The hot dogs were thinner but I will say the skin of both of our dogs was a bit tough, making the texture a tad chewier than I prefer (I'm weird about textures). The tots were great especially with the dips but I would love to see the cheese on them a bit more melted. Prices are fair, food portions are large, and I would love to come back to try a burger or another dog!

Yelp
A 5 to 7 minute wait turned into a 22 minute wait three times longer than what was told. Also the family behind me I was ordering for three they were ordering for three and they got their food before I did actually five minutes before I did. Not a very happy customer right now. Previous times I got my food much faster. They might need to hire more staff and do something to boost their efficiency with their process.

ZH B.

Yelp
Aesthetically it looks nice for a hotdog venue. What I don't like - they focus on the bun versus the quality of the dog. Why charge more $$$$$ when you taste a bulky bun. Wouldn't come back again for these so called gourmet dogs!

Yelp
Opening Day and they're still working some kinks out but just as I'm a big fan of the original location, I'm a fan here and will definitely be coming back. I live in Alexandria but the parking lot here is a big plus when getting my dog fix. Ordered my usual Fenway Frank but this location has fewer of the special dogs so I couldn't get my other favorite the Duck Duck Dog. The baked potato loaded tots made up for it though. They were excellent. Some other noted differences between locations: Arlington doesn't seem to offer the dog combos (at least at this time) and they also don't offer fountain drinks. They also have more burger options here and more loaded tot option. But for the most part it's the same great food with some limited seating and a much better parking situation. I've had today starred on my calendar since they announced the opening day and I'm thrilled to see one of my favorite local businesses expanding.

Yelp
This is a very nice hot dog place with a large menu, and not just hot dogs, but also hamburgers and more. They also have high quality sodas, plus a few craft beers and more. I tried the L.A. Hot Dog, which was great, as well as a lemon and lime soda that was also great. This place also looks very nice, but it would look much much better if they made a real mural painting on the wall instead of using wallpaper! The staff were also very friendly.

Nicholas H.

Yelp
The menu at Haute Dogs is nothing short of sorcery. Each dog is a work of art, meticulously crafted with the kind of care usually reserved for diamond engagement rings. The buns are pillowy clouds of perfection, the toppings are fresh and innovative, and the dogs themselves? Juicy, smoky, and absolutely divine.

Yelp
Overall it was just okay. A little overpriced for what you get. My boyfriend and I ordered the LA dog with the garlic parm fries and loaded tater tots. All kind of just mid.

Louis K.

Yelp
Very good dogs, burger, lobster, etc. but a little bit pricey. If you are a hot dog coniseur not to be missed.

Yelp
Really awesome, delicious, and creative hotdogs. Loved the authentic DC half-smoke too and am excited to try out the rest of the menu!

Yelp
Hot Dogs are are part of my DNA. My Father, was from Brooklyn, and loved a good Hot Dog, he was a no frills Mustard Only guy. My Grandson is also a DOG lover who is just going through his topping's metamorphosis ...finally at 14 he is willing to try some things....me, I love hot dogs....at home or on the road, even those little morsels ever rolling at the local convenience store. For me, walking into Haute Dogs was like walking into a five star restaurant. The place is new, so it was spotlessly clean, service was quick and efficient, and at 6.99 for most combinations a real deal. The menu offered a full array of potatoes, burgers, rings, shakes and even an ice cream dog. I decided to pass on all the sides, instead selecting two wonderful Haute Dogs... going with a Chicago and a Chili with pickles and Mustard. Every part of the ensemble was perfect....the bun was soft toasted, the chill was perfectly seasoned and the wiener had a distinctive snap. Next time, I will have to try the Slaw Dog or perhaps a Brat or a Half Smoke...or the Kraut There are too many choices. There are no fountain drinks....but there is Beer and Maine Root Soda. Indoor seating in limited, parking is not an issue. Enjoy.

Yelp
The brown mustard that is supposed to come on my dog is basically missing. every time!

Yelp
I was looking for a good hot dog place nearby and it was great to find Haute Dogs in Arlington. The hot dogs are creative and the bun is really good! Service was good and we didn't have to wait much for our order.

Yelp
Rubbery lamb burger, charged for BBQ sauce that I never received. The onion rings were good, but not worth $20!

S G.

Yelp
I ordered the bang mi beef dog and the cucumber was white, not looking good and the cilantro was also wilted. Would not recommend this one.

Quinn S.

Yelp
Decent but overpriced. The cheesesteak is chopped up ground burger meat. Fortunately the onions peppers mushrooms and cheese are pretty good. Burgers are good but not great for the price.

Yelp

Yelp
I read the reviews of this just-opened Arlington restaurant and wanted to go for lunch today. It was a very good decision. We loved our hot dogs and Mexican cola plus some fries with it. The place is clean and welcoming. The haute dogs are delicious and uniquely seasoned. I'm definitely a fan and will come again!

Quinton B.

Yelp
First time today eating here ordered chilli hot dog I really enjoyed it only complaint $4 for a soda

Yelp
As a hot dog fan I was pumped to see this place in my neighborhood. It did not disappoint. I had the house dog. Amazing. Crisp dog with a soft bun and great flavor from the onion and yellow mustard toppings. Can't wait to try more dogs!

Douglas S.

Yelp
First visit, it's a couple blocks from our house.. Line out the door, approximately 20 minutes to get my order in. The cashier was also putting together everybody else's orders, which accounted for a good portion of the wait. As I was about to order a gentleman and his son came up, asking for a refund since they had been waiting 45 minutes total for their food and had to go to a little league game. The cashier couldn't have been more rude or abrasive. Claiming he was lying and there wasn't much wait, She cited Covid staffing issues, but Covid's been over for a year and they've only been open a few months. Since I only had an hour window to order, get my food and get home, I asked the cashier how long she thought it would take, which obviously offended her. The food was good, but definitely not good enough to wait 45+ minutes from arriving to get the food, and putting up with BS from the cashier. Doubtful will be going back until they get their act together. Sometimes the service is so bad it ruins the whole experience. This was one of those instances.

Yelp
Unimpressed! Second time going there and we will not go back. Ordered food online and they still got it wrong. I wAs there when they said the hood would be ready and it was but when I got it home to eat it, it was cold-completely cold. They left out sauce that had been ordered and paid for. A real date of time and money. Don't know what the hype is all about.

Gloria S.

Yelp
I'd give zero if I could. LOVED the Alexandria location, so when we saw the Arlington location worked with Uber Eats, we didn't hesitate to order. Unfortunately an Uber Eats Driver not associated with our order picked up the order-AFTER the merchant confirmed another driver was associated with said order. The assigned driver showed and the merchant said the order is already picked up. The driver explained they were assigned to pick the order up and the merchant replied "we are not remaking the order." So we're having soup and crackers for dinner. #1 -please confirm drivers and orders. #2 -will not dine or order from this location again. -as someone who has worked in customer service-this is not a good look.

Chelsea G.

Yelp
I got their cheese fries which were very disappointing. The fries were over cooked and I had to throw some away due to them being burnt. However, the milkshake was amazing! I got a hotdog which was pretty good. It was just the fries that set me off.

Ray B.

Yelp
Come eat here! Man, I believe his name was Parker, but he was so polite, and respectful while taking my order. Although the resturaunt was full, he maintained calm and made sure everything i needed was in check. Promote this man!

C. A.

Yelp
Wide selection of hot dog combinations, sides, and milkshakes. Friendly service and good food. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Recommended.

John L.

Yelp
I have been to their Alexandria location a few times and had good experiences. Made my first visit to their new Arlington location. Dogs were great. Sides were not, and pickup order was not ready at the promised time, and this was Monday around 3 PM which ought to have been a slow time. Tater tots were undercooked. Onion rings were probably frozen, about the same quality as onion rings at Burger King, which is bad. Either make unique onion rings from scratch, or drop them from the menu. I'll go back for the dogs.

Luci S.

Yelp
recently visited their Arlington location, very great service from their cashiers, food came out well done, Epstien didn't kill himself, 5/5 stars
