Havaiki Lodge is a beautiful rustic oceanfront resort. I would always suggest to opt for the oceanfront units which have AC. Nice little pier for sunsets. Top Dive is close by for all your world class dives at the passes.

This was our first visit to Fakarava, but we do travel a lot. For the review on the diving and Top Dive (dive shop) see the Top Dive Trip Advisor page. What I liked about the resort was the following:||The beach- very relaxing with nice shallow and warm water|The room- we had a garden view with a/c and it was very comfortable and spacious. It was also fairly clean with plenty of hot water. Our room had a small refrigerator|The pier- everyday we walked on the pier to see the sharks below. On our last night there were 10 nurse sharks lying together.|The bicycles- free to use to go to the market or sight see|The hotel grounds- nicely kept with lots of plant life||What I did not like about the resort was the following:|Check in- very little information provided. Nothing mentioned on subjects like beach towels or Wi-Fi|The Wi-Fi- it was terrible and only worked 1/2 the time|The breakfast- very limited and eggs or normal breakfast foods were extra|The dinner- Overall a very good flavor, but several times overcook||We stayed for 11 nights with nine days of diving. There is not much to do on the island unless you pay dearly for outside excursions. However, we found it very relaxing to read a book or hang out on the beach when not diving. Although, I didn't give them five stars I would definitely return and stay at Havaiki Lodge.

We had a great stay at the beach bungalows for 5 nights. Breakfast was fresh, and hot omlette was available at an additional price. Dinners were delicious, and they catered to our dietary restrictions. We booked a 4x4 from the front desk and roamed the island. Dive Spirit Fakarava was our dove shop and they picked us up from this hotel. Front desk also helped reserve executions. The beach restaurant is ok and provides convenience. Overall highly recommend staying in this lodge.

incredible place where the blues of the Sky and of the sea are merging one into each other. a very nice lodge well located at the "centre" of Faka at a stonethrow of the airport and just bybthe beach. cocktails are top and the visit of the pearl farm just a must do. Hope to come again soon.

We stayed in a Beach Bungalow for 3 nights ( wish it had been longer) at the end of our 3 week French Polynesian holiday. We stayed in 7 islands in caring accommodation types but this one was the BEST! Stunning location/views, bungalow was beautiful (very comfortable bed) driftwood, pebble design bathroom, own timber deck/outdoor setting and own designated sun loungers out front on beach, plus outdoor shower to rinse off. Friendly sharks to swim with. Lovely restaurant & separate snack bar ( food and staff were great), in water umbrellas and tables too. Free bicycles & kayaks were a lovely touch too to use. Amazing sunsets! Can highly recommend for groups of friends, couples and families too - 5 stars 🌟

A slice of heaven in the middle of the South Pacific. This place was a real gem. The beach and views were just endless and the staff were amazing. A truly memorable place. Rooms were fairly basic but this is very remote and I think its the only lodgings on the island with AC.

Excellent little resort with a stunning beach and resident Nurse sharks! Friendly, attentive staff everywhere. Wonderful stay all around with great cocktails, delicious food and a great location. Free hire bikes are great fun. Garden rooms are great and possibly more private than the beach options.

My husband lost his wedding ring while snorkeling out front. If anyone finds it please contact me on instagram @ grammaboo ! Otherwise we had a lovely stay. The location and food were the highlights of our trip thus far. Everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating. Dinner was great all three nights— I’m still dreaming about the pavlova served for dessert on our final night. Definitely do the Pearl lottery, it was supper interesting to learn about how pearls are farmed and really fun to pick your oyster and discover your very own pearl. We also rented E bikes and set out to the far end of the island. The E bikes made the trip fun & easy.
