We were fortunate enough to stay here during December and we loved our stay. The staff were super helpful and polite when we engaged with them. The pool is the biggest one in Key West and everything in the grounds are immaculately maintained. We found our room to be super clean and presentable with everything that we needed. A few review's have highlighted the rooster and hens waking you up in the morning but that didn't bother us one bit - it all adds to the atmosphere of the Keys!!!!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay - 👌

The resort is exceptional! The lobby is beautiful and elegant, and the rooms are spacious and luxurious. The pool is a fantastic oasis for relaxation. We want to thank all the staff for the flawless service. A special thanks goes to Sol, who was incredibly kind, sweet, and super helpful to us. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back soon.

An excellent hotel experience from start to finish! The staff is friendly, attentive, and always helpful. The large heated pool is amazing and truly relaxing, with lovely little treats that make you feel pampered. The atmosphere is fantastic — we absolutely loved it and would happily return!

We were in the area for a family wedding. The hotel was perfect for us- rooms were very comfortable. Loved the Cuban theme. We had our own little patio with easy access to the pool and outdoor areas. Convenient location, short walk to Publix and other shops. Shout out to Tosha who makes the best Cuban Manhattans.

We had a wonderful stay at Havana Cabana in Key West! Parking was very easy and uncomplicated, which made everything super convenient. Our room was beautiful, with a lovely view of the ocean and the classic car in front of the hotel. The pool area was amazing very clean, with lots of fun floats, swim rings, and loungers to relax on. Just a small tip: be a bit careful with the bees around the pool area, but it wasn’t a big problem. At check-in, we were welcomed with a delicious cocktail and some small snacks. The shuttle service worked perfectly, and the driver was extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you! Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Google
Location wise its really great - has the ocean view, close to dual street. The service staff are very helpful. The room was not quiet as expected. It was a small suite for 5 people. The pictures on website don't do justice. The bunk bed was really difficult to get on/off to - I hit my head twice to the celling. Also the sofa bed is a spring bed which is not very comfortable for 2 people to sleep on. It would be better if they add pictures of the room/bed on to their website.

Google
Booking was smooth and simple, and the arrival experience was welcoming and efficient. The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to help — they set the tone for a great visit. The beds and pillows were absolutely top-notch — incredibly comfortable and made for the best night’s sleep we’ve had in a long time. The room was spotless, fresh, and beautifully styled with that signature tropical Havana flair. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged. The property is immaculate and beautifully kept, with a fun, laid-back Key West atmosphere. The pool area was lively and clean, with great music and energy throughout the weekend. We enjoyed both the Floridita Food Truck and Mojitos Pool Bar — delicious food, great drinks, and attentive service. Everything came out fresh and flavorful, and the team behind the bar and kitchen was fantastic. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and upbeat. From the front desk to the bartenders, each team member went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Havana Cabana delivers on every level — clean, comfortable, fun, and welcoming. We wouldn’t change a thing and can’t wait to come back. Please pass along our appreciation to your incredible team. Everything from the service to the small details (especially those amazing beds and pillows!) made our stay exceptional.

Google
Somewhat disappointed with the hotel. The room was fine but the pool area needs to be better. I wanted to take a water into the pool area and I was told that absolutely nothing can go into the pool area from the outside. I understand alcohol but not even a sparkling water?? And then they rent out the pool area and there were many kids. Not relaxing at all. Honestly I would not stay here again. They do have a shuttle every hour which is convenient. It’s more for families than couple get away.

Yelp
My husband and I booked a room at this hotel for a weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. We spent a lot of time carefully choosing where to stay, and Havana Cabana seemed to check all the boxes. Although it was more expensive than we originally planned, we decided to splurge because it appeared to be the perfect spot. However, on the morning of our reservation, we received a text from the hotel informing us that due to construction, our reservation had been moved to a different property, Margaritaville. This came as a complete shock--especially with no advance notice or clear explanation. We immediately reached out to the manager to express our confusion and disappointment. My husband explained that it was my birthday weekend and that such a last-minute change would completely derail our plans. We asked about the possibility of a refund or any form of compensation, given the inconvenience and lack of communication, but were told none would be offered. To make matters worse, the hotel we were transferred to was entirely different--much larger, crowded with families, and lacking the boutique atmosphere we had specifically chosen. One of the main reasons we picked Havana Cabana was for its smaller, more relaxing environment, along with its pool and easily accessible food options. I can't express how disappointed I am with how this was handled. I'm still at a loss as to how management feels it's acceptable to relocate guests on the day of their stay without offering any sort of refund or consideration.

Yelp
Perfect spot for a Key West vacation. About 10 min from Duval, they have a shuttle every 30 minutes. The rooms and grounds are very clean. The pool is awesome and so are the drinks. Loved the fact that it's adults only and pet friendly.

Yelp
Was really happy with this hotel. Booked a last minute trip to Key West and was happy I found this spot. Great value for the price. Beautiful lobby and pool area. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Check in was easy and the room was cute with comfortable beds. We had drinks at the pool bar which was great. Loved the pool and were happy to unwind with a swim. The pool is so pretty and there are lots of cute floats. There is a shuttle that goes to Old town and back every half hour. This an easy way to avoid the parking situation around Duval Street Nice hotel for a good price.

Yelp
My wife and I have traveled many places around the world and I have honestly say, this is one of our favorites. The themed service oriented atmosphere is overwhelming. We only booked 4 nights and now I wish we could stay here a month. This place is doing it right and I certainly appreciate the opportunity to spend quality time here. Thanks !

Yelp
Love love love this resort! Came here with 3 girlfriends for my 30th birthday and we had a blast. We shared a pool view, 2 queen bed room, and the room is fairly small, but it didn't bother us since we spent very little time in there. The pool area is gorgeous, and it was great to have some group games available on the pool deck when we had a chillier evening. The bar was very fun, and the drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. The food was *okay* but nothing different from your standard bar fare. We chatted with several bartenders throughout our stay, and they were all super great and fun to talk to. The only downfall is the breakfast service is very, very slow. There was one server for the bar and dining area both, and it took forever and a day just to get a cup of coffee. Other than that, the stay was wonderful and I would absolutely stay again!

Yelp
Havana Cabana is a great place to stay, Great Pool, Pool Bar, and incredible Cigar Bar with very nice happy hour prices.. and fun Bartenders The Room is Havana themed as is the whole Resort, and the staff is attentive, fun and made the place a great experience!!

Yelp
This place is not bad. We booked because it was one of the more economical options in Key West, but experienced inconveniences along the way. The pool is pretty big and nice but not heated, which made it hard to enjoy when the weather was in the 60-70s. But it was still nice to lay around there during the day. I liked the daily coffee, smoothies, snacks (popsicles were meh but churros were good), and free shuttle rides to and from the city and airport, all included as part of the $55 daily resort fee. The rooms were clean overall, and the staff were also very nice and accommodating. A few things that could have been better: 1. There is no gym as they tore it down for the restaurant. The website says guests can access a gym, which is actually the Margaritaville gym, for which we had to specifically ask the shuttle driver to drop us off there. Not sure how we would have gotten picked up if we had decided to do this? 2. Plumbing is a bit questionable. During the first two days, the pipes made a very high-pitched noise every time the rooms next to us used the water. We asked the front desk to fix this on multiple occasions but this was not addressed. This made working in the hotel room very difficult. 3. If you pay extra for poolside view, they will blast music very loudly from 9 AM to 11 PM. This also made it difficult to work at the hotel. 4. Our room key wristbands stopped working everyday, and we had to ask the front desk to reset them every single day. Minor but somewhat annoying inconvenience. All in all, this is a good place if you're looking for a decent place to lounge around for a couple days. It's missing a few key pieces I was looking for in a hotel, but perhaps it will be more enjoyable during the warmer months and when I don't plan to use the hotel to work.

Yelp
Super nice pool and service. Love that it's dog friendly. That's about as far as the positives go. It's a cuban-themed hotel, but they don't have cafe con leche? No cuban toast? This is the bare minimum they could offer at breakfast lol The rooms are incredibly dated. It's obvious that this used to be a motel and they've redecorated and dubbed it a "resort". It's also a ways away from downtown. I dont think it's terrible for a quick and cheap, little 1-2 day stay but that's about it.

Yelp
Anniversary Bliss at Havana Cabana We stayed at Havana Cabana for 4 days/3 nights to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a great choice. From the Cuban-inspired hospitality to the thoughtful champagne waiting for us, every detail felt special. Our ocean-view room on the 1st floor was quiet and relaxing, and the bed + pillows were perfection. The shuttle to downtown Key West was convenient, and we loved that the resort was close enough to the action but far enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. Minor negatives: NYE lacked excitement, and we were disappointed there weren't better late-night food options--they even ran out of beer! But otherwise, it was paradise. Definitely recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Yelp
This hotel is awesome!!! The only thing it lacks it a beach front for guests to enjoy. I mean, the pool is pretty awesome but who wants to hang out at their hotel the whole visit? The staff service, from front desk to house keeping & to bartenders are 2nd to none. They stop at nothing to make sure you are having a wonderful visit. The DJ at their incredible, exotic, jaw dropping beautiful pool & game hut gets the vibe going right. 57 Chevys out front that any normal person can appreciate, a lobby that is fantastically beautiful, a cigar shop & wait staff that makes you feel so very welcome. Thank you for a wonderful birthday!!!

Yelp
It's a tropical paradise at Havana Cabana!! We always try to stay here if it's available. The property is gorgeous, the pool is stunning (I THINK it's the biggest pool In Key West), the rooms are beautiful and the beds are so comfortable. But what truly sets Havana Cabana apart is its staff. From the moment we arrive, we're greeted with warmth and hospitality. The bartenders are great, and we can't say enough about Nick at the pool - he is always there when you need something. Chris G. and team also went above and beyond to make our trip special. The shuttle will take you to all action in Old Town, but you won't want to leave the pool and pina coladas!

Janet D.

Yelp
Music is soooo loud. Till 2300 hours. We were offered a poolside room for $50 a night more. How nice you play loud Cuban music all day long till 2300! When I asked to be moved the manager Christian dismissed me. I come here twice a year and would never stay here again! It's a shame because it's very cute but getting worn.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
The experience here started off great, because I didn't spend most of my time here. However on my last night here, I decided to enjoy the pool and a drink. The bartender, Val, proceeded to claim that she couldn't serve us due to her judgement. I asked for a manager and she told me to speak to one in the lobby. Come to find out, "there wasn't a manager available". So I was left without an apology and any help, despite being a paying customer. The following day, the manager Gaby, was very useless and looked disheveled. She gave a poor excuse and showed her lack of professionalism and customer service skills. Giving the demographic of those who stayed here while I did, it seems that they are discriminatory and agist. They didn't have issues serving others who were lounging by the poolside. I will not be coming back.

Yelp
Where do I begin?? Ah yes, back when I was planning my wedding over a year and a half ago... My now husband and I chose Havana Cabana to work with when picking wedding venues, not only for the awesome wedding package options, but for the huge pool (largest on the island), the cleanliness/comfort of the rooms, the food, and the eagerness of the staff to help and make our Wedding day (and beyond) perfect. We worked with Jackie on all of the wedding planning and Jody-Kay on the room block arrangements. I will tell you hands down, that both of these ladies are amazing and went above and beyond to make everything perfect and seamless. Fast forward to our first wedding anniversary, and Jackie, Jody-Kay, Brittany, and Nakayla all helped get our trip back to Havana Cabana planned. They each helped us tremendously and even when we had an emergency (causing us to miss our flight), they went out of their way to assist. We really appreciated their help, kindness, and understanding in our situation! The whole staff at HC is great, a few more to shout out to are Annette, Iliana, Taishia, Avery, Vadim, Costa, Val, Vashawn, Nick, Jackson, and Hubert.. Thank you all for making our stay amazing! We visit Key West a couple times a year and we will definitely stay at Havana Cabana again. We absolutely recommend this hotel!!

Yelp
We had a great stay in the adults only resort. Peaceful location away from the business of Duval Street. The free shuttle service to and from the airport as well as to downtown was a huge plus. The room was clean and cozy. Food on sight was as good as we have had at a resort in our travels. The bartenders and staff always attentive and helpful. The only thing that kept us off a 5 star review is there were very short on lounge chairs and the pool heater being broken for over a year we heard.

Macy C.

Yelp
We had the most amazing time at Havana Cabana! The whole staff was incredible we especially loved Val the bartender! They have a shuttle that takes you downtown every half hour. We had a very clean room, great drinks and amazing food! Highly recommend the Havana burger and the nachos! We will be back!

Yelp
Thank you for giving us such an amazing weekend! After coming from a dirty, old hotel in Marathon to Key West, this place was a breath of fresh air. The staff here is fantastic! The rooms are fun and even came with sunglasses for guests. We were right next to the pool, which was perfect. The location, food, drinks, and the fantastic pool with toys made for an incredible atmosphere. We felt very safe and couldn't recommend it more!

Patricia H.

Yelp
Overpriced Motel, not very clean bathrooms and rooms, not worth the almost $400 a night rate. Beware of your room rate, called multiple times and received different prices each call. The staff spent more time decorating for Valentines Day than assisting guests. Some of the staff were not very friendly, called for the manager in regard to broken items in our room when we checked in and never received a call back. FYI they charge a credit card fee, and after you check out you are charged a fee for the so called Courtesy shuttle and pool. Not an honest business, stay somewhere else
google avatar

Yelp
Love, love, love this hotel! The decor is beautiful! Super fun ambiance! The staff is kind and attentive. They're able to provide recommendations for the area and book reservations upon request. There's a bar onsite so there's need to be out late. Should you want to explore, there's a shuttle that runs every thirty minutes. The bed is super comfortable and shower pressure is top notch. Honestly, should every hotel meet these standards, Air B&B would be out of business. Highly recommend for a Key West vacation

Yelp
Hotel is OK at best. Rooms are spacious, but very dated. Hotel is dog friendly which is a plus, the pool was nice and large, but was lacking lounge chairs. The hotel is located far away from everything.... on the flip side, they do offer a "complimentary" shuttle to take you places. My issue and low rating is due to the amount of fees you are charged staying here. This hotel is quite frankly the Spirit Airlines of hotels. They will lure you in with a low nightly fee and then tag on a whole bunch of additional fees and charges. The most questionable fee is the credit card fee, this one is not disclosed anywhere but you notice it on your bank statement after check out. When calling the hotel regarding this, they simply said "This is a credit card convenience fee", well maybe they should disclose this when checking out... it wasn't even on the statement they provided. Anyways 2 stars, would be a 1 if it wasn't for the pool and friendly staff upon check out.

Yelp
Excellent Hotel - Kick Back, Relax and Float Down Stream Love this Hotel, location 10 minutes from Duval Street (Where all the action is). The ambiance is naturally a Cuban feel, old Chevy's parked out front (lCuban theme interior - well done). Checking in was a breeze the Concierge was full of information and super helpful. The Hotel offers a free shuttle down to the seaport where you can find sunset cruses, snorkeling, fishing ect.... The shuttle starts at 9am and runs every hour on the hour. Room: Our room amenities, Fridge, Safe, Microwave, Keurig Coffee market, complimentary water (note: anytime we needed water we would ask the front desk, it was at no charge. We booked a room with two Queen beds, it was on the ground floor and it exited to a Lanai - (Room 120) - ground floor) perfect location to get to the pool & bar. The AC worked great - Beds super comfortable. - The Hotel is quiet, never heard any noise from the pool/bar area ( they close down at 11pm). The shower had strong pressure, (the handle took a little time figure out) Pool: Pool area is spread out with plenty of lounge chairs - they offer drink & food service (its not as steady as I would have liked but decent) - all of the staff was super great - friendly, professional, helped with all questions. They offer games, like ping pong & corn hole - that was cool. Bar was outstanding - the food from the Floridita Food Truck (located just off the bar) was very good. The have a small menu, but enough choices to please everyone - we ordered a Cuban Sandwich (they call it "Shaved Cuban Mix - mojo marinated pork loin with ham & cheese) was one of the best I ever had & it was huge. You can order up your food at the bar an they'll bring it to you. Havana Cabana is a very cool hotel, we loved it & will be back.

Yelp
It's difficult to recommend this hotel, I came here in June for my birthday for about 3 nights. The room was full of bugs and extremely "musty" had the worst smell... it never felt clean. The bar staff by the pool are the only reason they get 4 stars, the staff was extremely attentive and was helpful when ordering drinks by the pool or meals.

Yelp
Total rip off. We stayed for 1 night, with 2 dogs. The room was ~$230 but they charged an additional $250 for dog fees and resort fee. The room was a disgrace, where the front door couldn't close entirely and the safety lock was missing. The bathroom doors also didn't shut or lock, they looked chewed through as well. The bathroom had drywall covering holes where it looks like a towel rack once was, the tub drain was fully out, and someone had written"hi" in the calcium buildup on the top part of the wall. We also did not see any dog waste bins on the property. They use a wristband for keys that have to be turned upside down to work and are really tight for larger individuals. The good things: hot tub is nice and hot, though dirty. The bartenders were great, attentive, and helpful. They do provide a goodie bag for dogs with a place mat, travel bowl, dog treat, and dog bags with holder. Honestly, your better off downtown somewhere else.
google avatar

Jan K.

Yelp
Room was comfortable as far as arrangement and quality of main furniture. BUT, the mini-fridge leaked water onto our floor and using the overhead shower fixture meant a lot of water leaked out on your bathroom tile floor, which you could slip on (and I did). The shuttle buses to downtown Key West were much appreciated, and the drivers provided a wealth of knowledge about the area. In the outside bar area, the ping pong table was next to the bar, so the first day we got hit with ping-pong balls hit by unsupervised children. The other days we sat elsewhere, but still, semen demons shouldn't be up against the bar like that.

Yelp
No Elevator! Be prepared to haul your stuff upstairs if you are on the second floor. It is a newly renovated hotel that I assume was a old motel. The doors did not seal properly with the door jam, there were gaps so it was not a quiet experience for sleep. The air conditioner was especially noisy. And, every morning the neighborhood rooster or maid service would wake you. Hotel staff was pleasant, room bathroom were clean , the floors could have been cleaner. . Would likely not stay again. It was about 10 minutes car ride to Duvall. Oh and the pool came with iguanas
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Top notch friendly service. The hotel room was very comfortable. Havana Cabana likely has one of the larger pool areas of any Key West hotel. There are games in the courtyard as well. (Bags, ping pong & Foosball) The hotel offers a shuttle service to Duvall St. That shuttle only runs until about 10:30. For the Key West first timers Duvall St is where most of the island action is at. The hotel is beyond comfortable walking distance to/from the night life action for my taste. This would be a great choice spot if looking for younger kid friendly and you plan to be in bed before the shuttle service ends for the night.

Yelp
Its hard to rate this hotel because there were so many positives but the few negatives were big ones! Let's start with the text message confirming our arrival. I thought this was such a sweet touch and when I replied saying this, they messaged me back again with another sweet message. Personal touches like this I REALLY love. Good start so far, right? Ok SO this hotel is totally unassuming from the outside but lovely once you walk into the lobby. Parking in the front fills up quickly but plenty in the back so no issues there. We were greeted promptly however, our room wasn't ready yet as they were full from the previous night. They gave deets on where the bar was and that we could enjoy the area while we waited. Dmytri(?) was the first to greet us, took our order and we just sat and people watched. Boy was it busy! You'd never know Covid was on and poppin' in Florida with the throngs of people without masks and disregarding the multiple signs posted. Alas, everyone seemed to be having a great time so I guess it's all good. Dmytri was on top of it ALL. Catering to is customers, making sure orders were right and mixing good drinks. Made the most perfect caipirinha outside of Brazil with Leblon cachaca no less (scored major points with me for that one!) We ordered the fish dip, nachos carnitas and the avocado salad - way too much food as the portions were pretty big. The avocado salad was very bland and nothing to write home about but it did the trick. I checked back in after 4 pm (official check-in time) because I still had not been notified as to whether the room was ready, unfortunately, it was not. We ended up waiting another 15 minutes and finally went up the double staircase to our room (213) which was smack dead in the middle. From first glance, it's a lovely room however, the floor was dirty. I mean really dirty. My wife walked around barefoot for only a few and her feet were gross! (See photo). Beyond that, the sheets were not tucked under the mattress and the remote was missing from the back where the batteries are secured. Very very odd, to me at least. Most concerning to me was the floor. With Covid-19 going on, hotels need to go the extra mile to ensure cleanliness because this is where people are actually sleeping so for the floor to be as dirty as it was, was very unpleasant to me. Since the text messaging system seemed to work, I utilized it to let them know of the minor complaints I had with regards to the room. A couple of hours later, when I went to inquire with the front desk as to why I have not received a response, they let me know they had been trying to call the room. Turns out, either the phone isn't working or the ringer was off. Never figured out which it was because when I tried to call our room again, it still did not ring. In either event, the gentleman at the front desk was apologetic and comped us a drink and meal for our troubles which was great. There is this weird and constant dampness in the room. If you turn up the air conditioning, it's damp but cold so we kept it at 72°. BUT, if you go into the lobby, it's freezing. Quite a weird disparity. The pool area is lovely! Good shading, lots of seating and great water temperature. The concierge Nick, was super helpful bringing fresh towels and popsicles on those super steamy days. Just an all around pleasant guy there to make your experience better! On our third day, it rained something awful and I kept hearing water dripping. Turns out there must've been some kind of patch work done to the roof because the next day, I noticed two cracks in the ceiling. We called down to the front desk and Anette moved us promptly to a neighboring room - 214. This room seemed slightly larger and was well situated like the other room so no complaints. The bathroom had a large shower which i preferred to the tub/shower combo. The gym is small but well equipped- all the cardio machines seemed brand new which was great but there was only one mat to use for stretching which was odd. Lastly, the music booms from 9:30/10 am until 11 at night. Even though rooms seem well insulated, it's still very loud. We found it more disturbing in 214 vs. 213. If you are early to bed or a light sleeper, get a room facing the street with a view of the ocean. Then again, the constant traffic on such a busy road might not be much better. All in all, it was cool I guess. Good guests, drinks and overall atmosphere but I doubt we would return.

Yelp
We reserved over 20 rooms for 4 teams and Father's Day was a nightmare. First, they take forever to clean rooms there. Second, that day a new employee of the hotel came to the pool and was rude to all the guest there. She was racist, disrespectful, harassing the guest. Screaming at them as if she owned the hotel. Everyone was there enjoying Father's Day. We spent over $10,000 dollars that weekend just at the hotel. Seems she doesn't like kids and hated them there in addition while some families enjoyed there win in sport she came with another employee wanting to make sure they rented there. All of them rented for 3-4 days there. We should get our money back for the harassment we encountered with a lady name Gabby. Employee was even filming with her iPhone the kids and parents which iagainst the law

Yelp
Cool Cuban themed hotel outside of the main area of Key West with a beautiful large palm tree lined pool. Highlights; - Cuban decor and art throughout added character: from the old cars up front to the pictures with a lady smoking a cigar on the wall to a nicely dressed couple painted on the wall by the central staircase. Pool: Beautiful palm tree lined large curved shaped pool with lots of space to swim in shallow or deeper water areas. Open til 11pm which is nice to have the night swimming option. Hot tub is hidden behind trees on the left. - Pool bar: open area with a few tables open til 11pm as well. We'd have an after dinner drink there most nights as it was pleasant to hang out at. - Shuttle: nice van with air conditioning leaving every half hour and dropping off at the waterfront brewery and pier where many boats leave from until 10:30pm. Saved us $20 Uber/Lyft each time and it's only 10 minutes without traffic or 15+minutes when busier. - Fun free snacks throughout the day: noon smoothies, 2pm popsicles, 4pm churros - Food truck food: behind bar in the pool area was convenient. Small menu but had everything from breakfast sandwiches to coconut shrimp to nachos to burgers. - Paved water walkway in front across the road for a stroll - Rooms: standard but liked the cute little patio which fit 2 chairs and a small colorful table, small fridge, and microwave. - Pool staff: super friendly and helpful. Midlights: - Nothing much walkable unless you count ihop and Publix do you do need to get a ride downtown. shuttle is first come so one night we just made it in time, but it was full and we couldn't get on - Room cleaning didn't happen until late afternoon - Large pool but not many pool chairs: we were there during the week and they filled up so can imagine on the weekends that's an issue. - Mostly order at bar for drinks and food; they don't come around to it take orders at your poolside seat Lowlights: - Our room had a broken soap pump without a spout in the shower and was never replaced - Our toilet didn't flush too well - DJ by the pool was playing good music but it was way too loud our first day we couldn't even hang out there. Other days volume was fine and added to a fun vibe. Enjoyed our stay and loved the pool and outdoor bar, but tradeoff on being a drive away from most eateries and activities.

Yelp
Beware everyone!!! I booked this stay with the purpose of finding a nice resort. The hotel was more like a motel, everything was damaged by humidity in the room, tv was acting up, dirty floors and lots of roaches in my room. None of the managers tried to reach out to find out about my stay... beware it's attractive as the price was high making you assume it's an actual resort, advertised amenities seem to hype up the place. No actual restaurant on property. Staff other than management was great...

Yelp
We stay in room 127, pool view. Check in was pretty smooth i liked how their room key is a bracelet so we cant lose it. We booked directly from their site. If you're looking to sleep in make sure you don't get room 127. We are early raiser so we don't mind it but you can defiantly hear everything that was going on by the pool. legit. EVERYTHING. Since our room is right by the pool we cant really open the blind without people looking in so no natural light. at 7:30-8 am we can here house keeping rolling their cart very loudly across the room. also, this room is next to the pool gate so we constantly here the gate slams. the resort itself is really cute we loved the concept of everything. The mojitos was really good we wished we stayed longer. the pool was really nice although there wasnt much sunny spot to lay out and tan. we stayed at the pool most of the day so we was able to enjoy their poolside smoothie and popsicles. we had breakfast at the foodtruck which was pretty good we loved the beef empanadas. what i dont like: -the room is very "moist" they definitely need some type if dehumidifier. -the floor wasnt as clean we end up cleaning it ourself with our wipes. -make sure you check the room for bugs.. i guess we left the room door open alittle too long? where some got in and it freaked us out in the middle of the night. not sure if it was already there but i would like to assume its because we left the door open.

Yelp
You go on vacation to relax and you can't even enjoy your time at the pool with the absolutely insanely loud music. I understand music at a pool, but it's awful and loud. We'll never stay here again.

Yelp
Me and my mother traveled here for a girls trip. Overall this hotel is one of the nicest places to stay. My initial thought when I walked in was that this place just smells like coconuts and pineapple and it reminded me of summer, no smelly grossness in this hotel. The room is very nice and is taken care of very well by some of the most amazing, kind, and best staff. Anything we needed they were right on it in a second. Don't even get me started on how amazing the pool, bar, and food truck is outside. Seriously so pretty and so well taken care of it shocked me. I really recommend coming to Havana Cabana during your stay at The Florida Keys! 100/10 Stars!

Yelp
Talk about a vacation! I had the best time at Havana Cabana!! I came down for a wedding and a couple of my friends mentioned they were staying here and it did not disappoint. I would come back for the complimentary churros alone lol! I was upgraded to Pool View Balcony room at check in, my room was gorgeous and the bed was very comfy. The pool was AMAZING!! I was also excited to find a slightly hidden hot tub. The food at the Floridita food truck was great and the bar and bartenders were excellent! I will 100% be staying here again!

Yelp
You might be able to find a more expensive, plus your hotel. You will not, however, find service anywhere better in Key West. In fact, we have stayed in Saint Regis and Ritz, Carlton and other locations with less friendly and helpful staff. This will be the only place we ever stay in Key West.

Yelp
We enjoyed our two-night stay at Havana Cabana. We liked the location of our pool side room. We also liked the resort vibe of the pool and bar areas. The service was excellent too.

Yelp
Disappointed in management. My husband and I booked this hotel for our "babymoon" we planned to spend our time by the pool. We specifically booked this hotel as it's advertised to have the biggest pool in Key West. After hurricane Ian we received an email from the hotel stating everything was OK and they looked forward to having us. When we arrived we were told the pool was closed and would be for the entirety of our stay. This was the first time hearing of this. They stated "some" guest received an email notification but I never did, they said that may be because the pool was supposed to be reopened by our stay but there were delays and now wasn't going to open for another few weeks. The hotel itself was nice and had a great vibe. Just a very disappointing experience. We were issued a full refund and booked elsewhere and had a wonderful stay in Key West.

Yelp
A very nice Cuban themed Hotel!! When you walk in the lobby, the murals on the walls was the first thing I noticed. The rooms continued with the theme. This Hotel is away from Duval Street and most of the action. They offer scooter and bicycle rentals. We rented the scooters, which in my opinion is the best way to explore Key West. I do think that our scooters were the best looking ones of all that I seen. Renting them was very quick and easy, and the guy who showed us all about the scooters was cool, very friendly. I definitely would stay here again.

Yelp
The front staff was amazing - so friendly and helpful. However, the room was run down and the floors were dirty. There was also a mix up in what type of room I had (seemingly Expedia's misrepresentation but not Sure) - so I paid top dollar for a room with a parking lot view. It was, however, quiet and the free coffee was good. The scene at the pool was fun - though if you want relaxation that is not the vibe there. Also the female bartender we encountered was extremely unfriendly and inattentive. The guy handing out towels was great. The breakfast truck service was TERRIBLE - waited 45 minutes and then learned that they had out the food in to go containers and couldn't find us even though we were sitting right next to the kitchen. But the food was delicious. All in all, it was a weird experience.

Yelp
BEWARE OF BED BUGS!! Also millipedes on the floor in ground level rooms. (I'm only giving a second star for the friendliness of some of the staff.) We booked through Hotels.com and received our third night free. This was our first trip to Key West. Now that we've been, if we return we will definitely stay downtown. Although this hotel offers a free shuttle downtown throughout the day. The check-in process was quick and we were booked in the back building. Our feet were filthy after about 5 minutes of walking around on the floor of the room. The bathroom could've used a deep cleaning as well with random hair stuck to the shower curtain and wall. I called the front desk and asked for the room to be cleaned the next day and told them the problems we noticed. Unfortunately we were so exhausted from traveling that night that we just wanted to sleep. The next morning beginning about 8am we were woken up by the laundry cart passing our room over and over again. You could also hear conversations of people passing by. We noticed multiple small millipedes all over the floor after getting up. We killed 11 of them. I called the front desk again and asked for the floor to be cleaned while we were gone for the day and told them about the millipedes and two lightbulbs that were out in the bathroom. We were gone to the beach most of the day and arrived back to the room at 5pm. The room still had not been cleaned. I was sickened and angry at that point! We called Hotels.com to see what they could do. We went to the front desk while on the phone with the Hotels.com rep. We spoke to Annette at the front. She was awesome and very helpful. She offered to upgrade us to the second floor of the main building. We were satisfied with that as it would've been a nightmare to attempt to cancel the remainder of the stay and rebook elsewhere. We packed up and moved to the new room. There is no elevator in this hotel so dragging luggage up the stairs was required and a real pain! The new room was beautiful with a balcony and more space for a suite-like feel. We then went down to the pool. As mentioned in many other reviews, this hotel is family oriented with many children playing and a lot of noise. It is not relaxing! The bartender was great and super friendly. Typical over-priced cocktails with a hotel bar but a decent pour. We noticed little gnats flying around the pool lights but no mosquitos. The next morning I woke up with almost twenty extremely itchy bites on my back, arms and legs. My husband had only a few. I didn't think much of it at the time and definitely didn't think bed bugs! We didn't notice anything in the bed upon inspection of it the next evening. The next morning which was our checkout, I again had more bites. Upon arriving home and seeing my doctor, they were diagnosed as bed bug bites. He gave us instructions as to what we should do to get rid of them if we possibly brought them home. The hotel itself is quaint but needs an obvious thorough cleaning! It's such a shame as I really wanted to love our stay. The staff was not phased by my attempts to report the bed bugs. I will be contacting the board of health.

Yelp
I stayed here for 2 nights 3 days. The check in staff, shuttle driver, house keeping, and the guy who rents out golf carts and other fun things were all fantastic. They were all so nice and helping. They truly made it a memorable stay. The pool side bartender seemed overwhelmed and unhappy to be there. There was only 3 people at the bar ordering drinks and he seemed to hate life. However he did me a favor gave me a chance to realize how overpriced the drinks are. 1 Heineken beer was $16. The room: Very clean, and GORGEOUS! It exceeded my expectations. The location: Not great. At the entrance of key west, far from all the fun. Duval street shuttle was great and the driver made our night even better. Check out: Got charged an extra $76! I wasn't expecting that soo not great. Overall it was a nice place however for the price I'd rather stay at my usual spots on duval street that have no hidden fees and aren't extremely over priced. Btw there is also a liquor store, Publix, and Wendy's right next door.

Yelp
This hotel can care less about ethical conduct or honesty. Emailed and spoke with them 6 times prior to arrival and they assured me the location of our room. We have stayed at this hotel year over year since 2005. We have watched it go through many transitions, management and owners. We paid for the top king poolside room with a private balcony. What we got was a bar facing room that I cannot even open my curtains or I will be on display for the entire hotel. The floor is separating at the seams and due to the closeness to the bar it sounds like I am at a party all day and all night. So much for a peaceful place to sit and enjoy the island. Called upper management still waiting NO response. Apparently they have zero customer service care or skills. Worst ownership they have had yet. Don't waste your $$.

Yelp
Welcome to the Party! (Sorry if you want to sleep or read). We stayed at Havana Cabana one night after a long day of travel; and before staying elsewhere in Key West. We initially enjoyed the cute, Cuban theme and outdoor layout, which revolved around a central pool area and bar. (It felt a little bit like a mini, tropical getaway). Unfortunately that impression was marred by the loud, piped-in music around the pool area (uh...why?). Also, apart from one family, it seemed like we were the only guests that weren't trying hard to get hammered - Stat. (It was a Saturday) After dinner and a cocktail (an excellent mojito) we went to bed about 10 pm, being exhausted from our travels. Unfortunately, at about midnight we were awoken by five or six drunk revelers out by the pool (or maybe they were in the open hallway below). Though the memory is foggy through my restless sleep, they eventually dispersed after about 30 min.  My recommendation for those who want quiet: Ask for a room away from the bar & pool. Location - Not for those that want to be by the beach or walk around the nicer parts of Key West; it's basically strip malls and busy roads here; but we knew that beforehand; so no demerits there. They do offer a shuttle to/from downtown. Food - The restaurant was a permanently-parked food truck. The mostly-Cuban fare was decent but overpriced. Also, there were no vegetarian options to speak of. Room - Clean, with Cuban photos and a large banner. Unfortunately our front door would not close completely and the toilet roll holder was pulling out of the drywall. Staff - Despite zero help with the luggage, the staff were friendly and helpful. There are at least two I'd love to praise, but I was told that management will actually punish staff members if their name appears in anything less that a 5-star review, and only reward them (with cash) if the review is 5 stars. Which is just inane. To me this feels like an underhanded way for HC to artificially boost the hotel rating (i.e. leveraging empathy for staff to elicit more 5-star reviews). All in all, and despite the rude midnight wakeup, we had a reasonable one-night stay here, but the wife and I agreed we could not have lasted much longer at Havana Cabana  For the price we paid (and the high rating), we simply expected something quieter and more upscale.

Yelp
We stayed at this resort for our mini honeymoon. Staff was very friendly especially the bartender by the pool who served us complimentary virgin strawberry daiquiris on a very sunny day. Room was big, confy and very clean. They offer scooters for rent for a very good price. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

Yelp
If you are looking for a cute boutique hotel with a Cuban flair then you found it here. The outside sign is unassuming but the interior sparkled with colorful lounge pieces, artwork, a dazzling pool area, poolside bar, and a food truck style casual eatery. The room was comfy with clean accommodations and the hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying!

Yelp
We had the most fabulous time at Havana Cabana! My number one reason for choosing this over any others is for the dog friendly atmosphere. All of the staff were so kind and welcoming to me and my dog. The shuttle service was amazing! All of the drivers were beyond welcoming and professional. I felt safe on the shuttle and at the resort. The parking was safe and secure. It was so refreshing to not have to worry about my car or having to drive. We already made reservations to go back.

Yelp
This place has gone down hill! Stayed here for a week about 15 years ago and it was amazing! Customer service was awesome and the room/hotel was clean and roach free! Stayed one night the second week of August 2023 from 7pm-7am (for $350) and checked out early because we were greeted by a ROACH and all four of us woke up with itchy bites all over our legs. DISGUSTING!!! To make matters worse Anne/Annie the manager has refused to return our multiple calls about this so called "resort" she's running. When you find a roach in your room and bring it to the front desk they will act like they had no idea this place is infested with them and then they will agree to refund the $54 "resort fee" and then will never refund it, even after multiple calls. The only thing nice about this place was the bartender... make sure you guys keep him he seems to be your only asset there! The pool boy was also rude when I nicely asked for 4 towels. He asked if I had four people with me, because I mean why would I ask for four towels? It was almost like he needed me to point out the other three people before he would release TOWELS to me most awkward few seconds standing there until my husband walked up and I assured him that here's one of the people that needs a towel. Daaaang, this place is advertised as a resort styled hotel (4 star hotel but is sadly a 1 star MOTEL now) If we wanted to stay in a motel for the night and risk bugs and other nasties we would've booked a motel and saved some cash. I'm so mad at myself for not looking at the new reviews, because clearly we weren't the only ones that experienced this.
