13 Best Airbnbs in Sedona, Arizona in 2023 - AFAR

"The name of this Airbnb makes it sound rustic, but you’ll find the chic blue and white interiors of this three-bedroom, two-bathroom home are anything but. The Hiker’s Haven moniker comes from the house’s proximity to several popular trailheads. You can reach both the Mystic Trail and the Chapel Trail within a half-mile walk. Architecture fans will also want to add a stop at the Chapel of the Holy Cross, designed by Marguerite Brunswig Staude, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Built directly into the red-rock mountain facade in the 1950s, it’s one of Sedona’s most recognizable landmarks." - Lyndsey Matthews, Nicholas DeRenzo

During one of the most traumatic experiences of my life, I received the most caring help & support from an amazing team of nurses, nurse practitioners, doctors & cna’s I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Chef Travis ~~~ WOW! I’ve been vegan & gluten free for decades, and was so nervous there would be nothing for me to eat, but boy was I wrong! Almost every single meal was delicious, healthy, and quite frankly, a work of art! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Chef! I know I recovered so much faster because of these incredible dishes! Also, the Physical therapist and occupational therapists were among the most amazing practitioners I’ve ever met! Jalaina, Carlos, Jon, Jonathan, Dawn, Mike, Alicia, and Susan truly created a safe, caring and compassionate atmosphere in which they helped me thrive! They made it fun even when it hurts! Thank you so much guys I’ll take your wisdom with me as I continue to recover. Patient Care Coordinator Darian was tremendously helpful in helping me transition back to my normal life, in that I’m far from home and she is setting up my continuing in home pt & ot, along with finding me additional orthopedic support for additional convalescence. She’s a true gem! And wow! Nurses Jamie and Belinda were truly inspirational. Their skill and mastery of the art of nursing had me completely at ease at all times. They are wonderful! A special shout out to CNA Jennifer ~ She always made me feel safe, cared for and never self-conscious in my much needed assisted showers. She is the epitome of a gentle and highly skilled caregiver. Thank you so much Jenn! I also wish to recognize and express deep gratitude to CNA’s Janet, Yeni, Diana, Gill, Fidel, Jan, and Pellar (& gosh there were a couple more, less frequent with me but wonderful & I can’t remember their names ~ I’m sorry) because without their constant and consistent, delicate care of me, and my injuries I surely would’ve withered away. What are the amazing staff of dedicated and resourceful people! And finally I want to say special thanks to Mike & Charlie in maintenance and Caroline & her team in housekeeping ~ you guys are rockstars! Thank you Haven health Sedona for your wonderful team of medical personnel who really do care and helped me recover in record time! Sincerely, Sheron Foster

I had an accident and was unable to walk or do much at all until I arrived at Haven Health, I was truly traumatized and in a lot of pain. I've never been in a hospital and I was completely unprepared for the kindness and quality of care that I received. All of the staff were surprisingly understanding and accommodated some middle of the night requests with real patience and amazing good humor. Jan and Yeni were especially helpful and laughed along with me at my sad situation. All of the PT workers showed real care and were gentle but firm in their treatments. I cannot say enough good things about this group of very kind souls. I'm a vegetarian and much to my surprise the food was actually very good. It's clear that the chef wanted to make his "customers" happy. I was at Haven Health for 6 weeks and they helped me get to the point where I could walk well enough to be released. I have to give my full hearted appreciation to this very special facility, and all the wonderful workers who take such good care of the wounded souls who need their help. With sincere gratitude, Margaret Thurman

I just want to make everyone aware of the great care my wife received at Haven of Sedona. We were treated with dignity and respect by all the staff. Soon after being admitted the maintenance team came in and introduced themselves. Also whenever I had a question, there was a staff member ready to find an answer. Special shout outs to Jamie and Belinda her nurses, CNA’s Gillian, Jennifer, Mariah, Yeni, and Janet, Michelle in Activities, the Therapy team Jamaica, Jon, Dawn, Carlos, Susan, Alicia, and Johnathan. Also I must remember to thank the Executive Director Emily, you have built an incredible team. To walk the hallways and hear laughter and watch the staff as they interact with the patients speaks volumes about the care people will receive. Thank you for your dedication to all the staff.

Employees show little to zero compassion for Native American elderly patients. My uncle gets neglected in this "skilled nurses" place of work. Mainly the lady who works as the receptionist whom I didn't get a name since she shoo'd me off so she can do nothing on her computer while my uncle needed aid six days later. The same uncle who was there for Physical Therapy was unable to walk when he was admitted he was able to walk a short ways. When relatives visited he had old tape on his arms from what we haven't gotten answers. These "caring professionals" need to do better or work in a different field all together

Big shout out to Michelle and Barbara from activities, always willing and able to spend time and effort with us residents! Lori H, Slyvia and Carol who are great nurses with caring hearts! Alsila from physical therapy has also helped me become stronger and more balanced. I have been a resident here for 5 years now and it's not only a long term care facility it's what I call home.

As usual there's no place like home !! Was on the rehabilitation center of Haven of Sedona. The staff were curtious , professional, helpful ,seemed to be caring. If I have need of short or long term my choice would be Haven. As any facility for rehabilitation or long term seemed to be short staffed ! Treatment was good. Nursing staff were sensitive to my needs. House keeping department did a good job. The food was decent considering the amount of ppl they had to cook for. Was lacking ,no sides ,no deserts , Kool aid was given . Only received coffee upon request. Enjoyed the fact we could go to a beautiful area to smoke. Should have been vending machines to buy soda pop, things usually found in vending machines. To sum it up I would recommend the facility for those who needed short or long term care.

Yelp
This place is run by drug addicts. I drove in to possibly look for a place my parent since they are getting in age and need help. I drove in saw people getting high. Didn't think anything about until I started walking up and it was employees that I saw getting high. One was the receptionist skinny young girl and I didn't see the other employees. But i turned around and walked away. I do not want drug addicts taking care of my family. You really need to drug test cause someone will get hurt since you alow employees to get high and work.

Yelp
I have been visiting a friend in rehab the past few weeks and can not believe the lack of continuity of care, and communication between staff. My friend has been in there for several weeks due to falls and some other health issues. after a 10 day absence due to being out of town, I noticed that my friend had lost a great deal of weight. Staff confirmed he had lost 11 pounds in past 2 weeks. when I approached the Director of Nursing and asked if the dietary department is involved in the treatment planning, she assured me that they were and that "she would look into it." the goal of rehab was supposed to gain strength so that he can return home not lose muscle. As a health care professional for over 20 years and a college educator teaching health care for the past 19 years, I am appalled by the apathy and miscommunication I have observed on a daily basis. I found that many staff are friendly and appear to care about their roles, others will sometimes not even look up from their phones to greet or address you. I found that PT and Social Services staff were accommodating and helpful. Leadership needs to come from the top down and I sense this is lacking. I repeatedly have heard the excuse "we have so many registry" as to why the staff are not on the same page. Take care of your employees, coach them up and value them. TEAMS (together everyone achieves more success) is important in healthcare if you are going to thrive. This facility seems to be focusing on "surviving"

Yelp
I have been here for a while and the staff here are great. They are understaffed sometimes like anywhere else, but I have been well taken care of. The people here gave me a warm welcome and a nice room. I have recovered from my back injury very well. The Physical therapy and Occupational therapy people are very professional and patient. Thank you for taking such good care of me.
