Founded by 5 local restaurateurs, Haven Hot Chicken opened their new Norwalk location. The chicken is available in a variety of heat levels. Each piece is perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mac and cheese is amazing, perfectly seasoned with quite possibly the best cheese to Mac ratio. If you are craving a spicy chicken sandwich, tenders, nuggets or even vegan options, everyone in your party will be left with a satisfied belly full of greatness. My favorite is the Sweet Heat Bowl. This location is new and often crowded so I recommend ordering online ahead of time to avoid long lines. The prices are a little high compared to other chicken restaurants, but so is the quality. Haven Hot Chicken is the real deal and worth every penny.

Had a Garlic Parmesan Chicken sandwich. It was very good. Hot food hot. Fresh. Could use a little more of the garlic parm flavor. Still very good. Banana pudding - ok. Not enough banana pieces or vanilla wafers in it. Service was friendly and efficient. Thank you.

Madison was AMAZING! She explained what the honey seasoned waffle fry was. I was not disappointed. It was soooo good! Madison was so sweet and made me want to come back just to see her smile and warm personality

Love the chicken! It is proper hot in every sense of the word. Some places make wimpy, hot chicken and they call it spicy chicken but not Haven Hot Chicken. I took one bite and it hit me in the back of the throat so hard my entire family tree felt it! This is definitely my favorite hot chicken, and really almost anything from them is good. Also great service nice people and quick turnaround. Thank you so much everyone, really appreciate it!

We’ve always enjoyed visiting Haven Hot’s New Haven and Orange locations, and the new Norwalk location was just as great! I really like that this location has the most seating out of all of the locations, and is very modern and inviting. Something I really admire about Haven Hot is there continued consistency between locations. Their food was as delicious as ever, and there’s always friendly faces behind the counter!

Got the tendie trio but should have ordered the duo. The tenders are huge, but very good. Did the mild head and it was about right. Chicken has good crunch but is very tender.

Amazing sandwich and amazing service. But bring money. It costs a bit more. Real chicken is used - not the pressed pseudo chicken that the other sandwiches are made of. Great sauce, slaw, bun and pickle too. And the sandwich is huge. But, again, it's not inexpensive. Go on double points days and save money. Friendly crew too. At all the locations I went to. I'm at Norwalk or Fairfield once a week.

Very delicious. I had the chicken parm sandwich and it was great! The bun was a little difficult to hold together half way thru but it was soo good!

Came here to try their new limited garlic parm sandwich. Someone I know posted one from New Haven and they served raw onions instead of pickled; so I chose to try the Norwalk location and luckily it was prepared to perfection. The ciabatta roll was nice and toasty with a butter garlic flavor to it. My chicken was so juicy; it melted in my mouth; it went well with the ranch drizzle. I get the spicy shake fries, today it was a bit salty but still delicious. I also got a banana toffee pudding, it completed the meal. I ordered on their website before I picked up my order and saved $5 with a coupon code. It was ready at the time I requested. The cashier who handed me my order was friendly. This meal was so mouth watering, I'll definitely be coming back soon!

Delicious sandwich on par with chick-fil-a...and larger, but the prices...yikes! A plain chicken sandwich and a can of Diet Coke cost $19.00! I wish this fast food chain all the best of luck, because the sandwich IS delicious, but they're going to go nowhere fast with their existing price structure. The inside is as fancy as a White Castle or Krystal.

Food: I'd recommend getting the tendies over the sandwich to get the full hot chicken experience. Sadly the chicken in my sandwich had the batter on the bottom side missing...too bad I discovered this after eating half of it so I didn't report it..otherwise it looks poorly on me (ha) The fuego fries were a delicious mashup of cut up tendies, pickles, slaw and fries. Though the fries are already soggy....and the slaw gets warm too so ya gotta eat that up quickly Ambiance: limited seating; bathrooms were clean Would I return? Not likely. I've had better

I've been to Haven Hot Chicken (HHC) about 4or 5 times. Recently went to Nashville thinking the hot chicken there would definitely be better. actually not! HHC sandwich was bigger, better, fresher. Better fries and side choices. Worth every penny. Pro tip: make sure you understand their heat profiles! Choose wisely and you'll be very happy! Enjoy.

Was craving a hot chicken sandwich and saw this place nearby and decided to give it a try! I did go at an awkward hour so it was pretty empty and quiet. I ordered The Sandwich with medium spice as a combo meal. The chicken in the sandwich was really good, big, and juicy! I wasn't really a fan of the slaw inside the the sandwich, it was very strong of celery, which I am generally not a fan of but I'm sure others would enjoy it. The side of fries was a really big portion, a box-full, it was nice and crispy, well seasoned. The meal came out to be around $19, which is a bit pricey for a "fast food" meal but I think the quality justifies the price!

Fries weren't good and over salted. Whatever was on the chicken tenders had a gritty feel to it. Would go to Popeyes or Garden Catering if I wanted chicken and was over there on Westport/Norwalk border.

Location: very clean and cashier very helpful as I wasn't sure what to order as this was my 1st time trying this style of chicken. Food: KFC and Garden Catering will not be losing sleep about the food here. Tenders were a great size and cooked perfectly. The chicken coating had a gritty texture that unfortunately stays with you and fouls the meal. The Medium heat level was medium, not very hot at all. The fries needed to stay in the fryer another minute as they had a mealy texture and were very heavily salted ( this from someone who likes salty fries). The "sweet" sauce was like liquid candy - not good on hot chicken. The honey would have been better. The pickles were great. I was excited to try it and was disappointed. I won't be back or try any other of these style nuggets. I threw out the food and will be drinking water the rest of the day due to the high salt content.

The food here is every bit as good as others are saying. I came I. For lunch and got THE sandwich combo with the vinegar cream slaw as my side. The sandwich was large, and the medium is just the right amount of spice. The chicken was enormous, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mix of pickles, slaw and potato bread with the chicken was completely heavenly. When I finished the sandwich, my mouth and tummy cried for more. The slaw is one of the best coleslaw's I've ever had. Just a really really good hot chicken that's on par with the best you'll get in Nashville.

Food is good and quickly served up. Clean atmosphere and is worth the extra cost. Definitely a step up against other fried chicken establishments

Happen to drive by and remembered that I had wanted to try this place out. We ordered: - trio tenders - chicken sandwich - not chicken nugs - Mac and cheese The tenders were for my son so we ordered them countryside level of spiciness (there are a few levels). They were meaty and good. The not chicken nugs are deep fried cauliflower which were pretty good but quite salty. Loved the sliced pickles that came with the nugs and tenders! The sandwich we got in mild which supposedly has just a kick but you can definitely taste the kick! It was pretty good and also very meaty!

Food was awesome. We ordered two "the original" chic sandwiches with fries (med heat) and one Chix and waffle. The medium is pretty spicy I really enjoyed. Can't imagine how hot the hot would be! I would have shared a pic but we ate it fast. Wasn't fast food price 65.00 for 3 meals. But I would do it again! It's good. Period.

Norwalk finally gets to experience the fast casual, hot chicken craze that's been sweeping the nation. I got a to-go order online which was ready when I get there and still hot when I got home. Unfortunately, that's when I realized they forgot my soda. I opened the bag to a big box of chicken and fries and some banana pudding. The chicken tenders are nice and sizable. I got the medium spiced level and it paired greatly with the blue cheese! The fries are perfectly crunchy and the banana pudding was definitely made with love. I don't know if I can regularly justify spending $18+ for a box of three chicken tenders with fries especially since there is more affordable options around, albeit no where near as high quality. Charging 60 cents for seasoning on fries made me roll my eyes a but I do think this place is worth a visit. Good luck on the new opening.

Nice!! Now I know where to go if I crave favorless white meat and floppy fries... Plus, if you think yourself to be one with marginal spice tolerance... go for HOT or more. Mediums got no bite.

Having previously visited other Haven locations, we were excited to try out the new Haven Hot Chicken in Norwalk for the first time. Our experience at this location was nothing short of fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We placed an order online for takeout, and we were pleased to find that our food was ready at the estimated time. We indulged on the Tendie Trio Combo and the NOT Chicken Nugs. Per usual we were delighted with our choices. The Tendie Trio Combo were tender, and flavorful. The highlight, however, was the NOT Chicken Nugs, which are made from cauliflower. These are hands down the best cauliflower nuggets we've ever tasted. The texture was spot-on, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the seasoning was absolutely delightful. Our dipping trio for the Chicken and Nugs consisted of Rob Sauce, House Ranch, and Blue Cheese. Each sauce provided an extra layer of deliciousness to the already fantastic dishes. The staff at Haven Hot Chicken in Norwalk was friendly and accommodating.

The food is back to normal like when it first opened. Maybe even better ! Service is kind and the ambiance is very clean. I definitely think they hit a rough patch in staff at one point but definitely got it back together !!! Good was delicious and I enjoy the new packaging

hello. I was reluctant at first to get the not chicken sandwich because the description didn't sound good but I did eventually try it and it was so so delicious. the banana pudding is also delicious.

Overpriced and not good. Greasy over seasoned and yet no flavor I guess they just put a bunch of paprika and cayenne on the chicken to make it look good.

Love Haven Hot Chicken. Crispy nice size pieces. Never greasy. Yummy banana pudding.. Great team of workers.

I loved the just right spice level choice for your boneless chicken coating. I had it mild on top of the Kale Salad . It was delicious. Also got a small side of garlic dill pickles which are not too salty chunky slices perfection. I also like that the salad topper trail mix is optional.

Food is great. Could make better use of the space for seating. I've been back numerous times. I've settled on the medium hot really great sandwich

I was excited to try this place, especially with more locations popping up around CT. The chicken was quite good--crispy and flavorful--and the sauces were enjoyable. However, I wasn't impressed with the mac and cheese; the sauce was very thin and lacked cheesiness, which might have been an issue with that particular batch. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and welcoming. I'd be willing to try it again.

Not friendly at all. We didn't feel welcome in the restaurant at all. Barely spoke to us and didn't even look at us when handing us our food. For those people who usually ask for a cup of water, good to know they do not offer tap water. They only sell water. ($3) Sandwich was good.

I've been once so far and ordered their basic chicken sandwich,(no slaw). It was very good. The service was quick and courteous. The restaurant looked clean and tidy.

First off, my online order got messed up due to their staff training so it was delayed and probably sitting on the shelf for 30 minutes. Still a bit hot though when got home. Unfortunately the first bite- overall flavor did not wow me like the first time I had that 'famous chicken sandwich' at another fast food place. The price is high - 13 bucks for a fast sandwich. But they do give a very generous size of chicken and the chicken is VERY good quality, which is hard to find. Though I would have liked it a bit juicier and less dry. It said it came with rob sauce but the sandwich needed more sauce, so I suggest asking for extra sauce. Came with one little pickle. More would have made it tastier. They charge for extra pickles, too. In fact, if you want this sandwich to be loaded and tastier/juicier- I figure it would come to 15 bucks. The mild had a little spice but to me tasted too salty. Got my mom the country plain and she didn't complain. Which is a shocker coming from her. Good quality chicken, could be more generous with the sauce and toppings but overall I would rate it a new place to definitely give a try to in the area.

They off a remarkable chicken sandwich that will compel you to drive past the sailor man, the prayerful poultry and the not-so-golden arches when you are craving one. When you see that Haven builds it's sandwich around chicken tenders, know that those succulent poultry parts are aptly named- the meaty interior remains moist while caressed by a deceptively crisp exterior. The cole slaw exudes a bright earthiness that enhances the chicken- a perfect combination that is somehow made even better with pickle slices that pay homage to all that overachieving cucumbers have to offer. Lest you think your Haven experience can't possibly offer any more surprises, just try the mac'n cheese (you can taste the care and craftsmanship that went into the velvety cheese sauce embracing each morsel of pasta). Haven Hot Chicken is well worth a visit.

Amazing - the quality of chicken is fantastic! I wanted to try a bit of everything - chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, slaw, mac n cheese- it was all delicious. I ordered from Postmates and am not close to this location - the food arrived hot and chicken crispy! Can't wait to come back!

Soooooooo good!!! You can trust the temperature gauge of the heat chart, you can trust the freshness of the food and you can trust that your meal is going to be delicious! The Sandwich is a perfect blend of flavors and textures: crispy fried chicken that gives way to the juiciest white meat chicken; soft fresh bun that melts in your mouth; thick hand cut crunchy pickle slices; tangy slaw; all topped with finger-licking Rob's sauce. Try it!!! You will love it!!!

Tried Haven Hot Chicken for the first time and had a wonderful experience! The extreeeemely friendly staff helped me explore the menu and decide what I would like best. I don't like spicy at all so I got the country style tendies. I did get honey to add onto my chicken which was delicious. The Mac and cheese had a great cheesy, peppery flavor. 4/5 stars because I ended up spending about $40 for two people. However, quality was excellent!

I've had a lot of Hot Chicken sandwiches across the United States. You guys definitely got it! I did the Haven on heat level It was good! Dare I say I could've went up in Spice level. The banana pudding was good as well! Will definitely be returning again now knowing you're close by.

I didn't go crazy hot. I was like medium and next time I will do mild because the chicken itself is really good quality. It's juicy and high quality and really doesn't even need to be covered up with crazy spice. My husband got the off the menu hot and he was like dying but he agreed mine tasted better. I had the slaw on the side and it was amazing. I'm going again. They have great non spicy kids choices country style with Mac and cheese. Taking the kids today.

Tucked away in the corner of a shopping mall, this fried chicken joint is home to some of the best fried chicken in CT. Upon taking the first bite out of their chicken sandwich, called (drumroll)-- "The Sandwich", my mind immediately went: How in the world did I miss this place??? You get your choice of your usual fried chicken (tenders, sandwiches and fried cauliflower that looks like chicken) + you can pick your heat level (spiciness) when you order. My kids love their meal boxes and the mac&cheese. The place is relatively new. It's clean and the staff is super friendly. If they ever add organic and gluten free options on their menu, I would probably start eating there every day.

Seasoning is off . Hard to take after a few bites. Service was very friendly and fries were good.

Chicken is very good, although it can be a bit dry as they give you a very generous amount of dusted seasoning that can make it a bit dry. The price is also quite high, the service is perfectly fine although the interior is very cold and not particularly comforting.

Food was bit of a miss this time. The medium spice cauliflower had no seasoning. Fries were cold and soggy, unsalted and a very small skimpy portion. Mac and cheese was good!
