Great location on the island. Very quiet place surrounded by nature close to the sea. Nice views, good breakfast.

The hotel Is in a charmful position, by the Sea and besides a reserve in the North of Vega; coming from the south of Europe, for me the view was impressive and wonderful. The temperature inside the room, tidy and large, was proper. I had an outstanding 5 courses gourmet dinner well paired with great wines coming from a Wide choice wine chart.I went there the 11 of June and I'll do my Best tò go back as soon as possible. Our yearly company trip once again went to the coast of Helgeland, and this time we were reunited with one of our favorites; Vega Havhotell on the island of Vega. Since last time, the hotel has had a new head chef and owners, and we were excited to see if anything had changed. ||On arrival by boat, we were picked up at the quay by the staff at the hotel, check-in was well prepared and went quickly. Everyone was very satisfied with the rooms, which were mostly all renovated. Good beds, wonderful pillows, suite with double shower and out of the window a wonderful view of the world's most beautiful archipelago. ||On day 2, we split the group into several groups for different activities. Some cycled, others visited the Via Ferrata and others went for walks in great terrain. The hotel's transport service ensured that everyone was transported to their starting point and picked up at the agreed time so that we could all meet for lunch together. ||On both Friday and Saturday, we were served a five-course meal in the hotel's restaurant. Chef (and owner) Jonas Møller mainly uses local ingredients, which magically end up as the most delicious dishes on the table. With good wine in the glass, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the moment with good friends and colleagues, while the sunset is reflected in the duck pond outside the window. I would also like to highlight the breakfast, which is not too pretentious, but just the right amount of content, including delicious freshly baked bread and perfectly cooked eggs. Then you have what you need. ||And if you feel that there is something you are missing, the hotel's very service-oriented staff will fix it. Thank you for your kind hospitality - we will be back.

Gourmet 5 course dinner, one of the best breakfast ever and beautiful ocean views. Many local food specialities enhance the overall experience. Superb home-made bread for the breakfast, even also gluten-free bread is home made. The wine package with the dinner is affordably priced with pretty straight-forward wines. Very good service in a friendly environment. Absolutely a place to go for food lovers.

We arrived and got two good rooms, after a little road trip to see more of Vega we headed back for our five course menu. With NEW owners and NEW chef were we excited to receive their servings. And we were blown away with excellent food! Each of the five courses was like getting a taste of heven - THANK you! The serving was done professional and with a smile. We drove from Oslo for this meal and it was worth it, absolutely! We talked with other guests that has been there every year for the last 12 years and they rated this years five course menu for the best in many years. We are so thankful. And we wish the new owners with their chef all the best! Keep up the good work.

We stayed 3 nights in September, in a twin-bedded suite, with small seating area, and small private terrace overlooking the rolling scrub of the nature reserve. The room was clean and attractive (although the toilet roll fell off the wall on the first evening). The terrace had comfortable wicker furniture, but annoyingly the overhead light could not be switched off, which compromised our view of the northern lights.||Breakfast was served in the pretty dining room, and the buffet was superb, with locally produced sausage and smoked salmon, and home-baked loaves. We had a 5 course dinner one evening, which was delicious. The young chef was very welcoming and friendly.

Our stay at Vega was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. The lunches and dinners were absolutely delectable, breakfasts were tasty and more than adequate, the room was spacious and comfy, and nothing was too much to ask from our Norwegian hosts (e.g. they allowed us to use the hotel laundry facilities) - so their service was excellent. A truly wonderful experience capped off with an unexpected display of the Northern Lights.
