Hävikkiruokaravintola Loop

Singaporean visiting Loop here: we dont have such initiatives back home, so coming here to experience this was such a treat! Free flow buffet + 1 warm dish of the day which happened to be lagsane with pulled oats (AMAZING INVENTION!!!!!) Staff was extremely patient with me as i requested for a breakdown of the Loop and the way things were done! My new friend of the day was impressed as well! It was his first vegan dish! Thank you for the experience!

Great quality waist food restaurant. It's never a waist of time to stop by for lunch or tapas in the evening. - I'd like to update my review as this is one of my favorite lunch spots in Helsinki, and among the businesses that have taken a hit from the Covid-19 crises. So just a reminder, that these guys make amazing food of waste (or soon to be waste) ingredients, and have not compromised the quality level of the food the slightest. They serve the menu on plates and you can get a refill until you'r full. And for those of you who have been lucky enough not to get hit by the Corona crises, I'd like to remind you that there is a possibility to purchase a solidarity meal for those less fortunate. Just ask to add it in at the counter and you'll make somebody very happy.

Interesting. Not bad. Good price. But I think we came just before they finished up, so the buffet wasn’t super nice (which is why it’s only 3 and not 4 stars). The upside is that they do bring you a main course (which wasn’t the best for us) But it’s a good price and it’s a nice location. Would recommend and maybe go a little early, so you don’t get the sad leftovers :) (Also the place has two cute little shops and lots of artist).

Not only the concept is great but also the location, quality, presentation and taste of the food and the warm environment. Nice staff ❤️

The brunch was quite good and I appreciate the idea of it, as they make all their foods from food waste they receive from shops etc. The food was creative, and tasted surprisingly good as well. The staff were all super nice, and the atmosphere was enjoyable!

I attended a dinner in this peculiar place that used to be a mental hospital. The menu is based on residual food from the area since the concept is to avoid waste. The dinner was made of 4 dishes, 2 Perizers, one main course and a dessert. All in all the service and quality of the food was ok. Nice idea, gourmet portions, menu might be improved. They have also their own beer made of wasted wheat.

Good concept. Delicious food. Unique atmosphere. Definitely recommended option for lunch.
