We had an excellent 5-night stay at Hawksbill Resort and would definitely stay again in the future. Location: The resort is located in a cove that almost feels private with how secluded it is. There are beautiful views in every direction that you look, with beautiful blue waters and excellent sunsets with the resort facing west. It is a 20-30 minute cab ride from the airport, which was easy to book when we landed. There are plenty of options for tours, including boat tours where you can get picked up directly at the resort. The resort is definitely on the quieter side, so this is just something to know if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere. We are in our 40s and were on the younger side of people during our stay. Rooms: We spent most of our stay in one of the Royal Palm Beach Bungalows, which was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is huge with a nice tub. In these rooms, you get a shaded pergola and your own chairs directly on the beach. The beach in front of these rooms was a bit more rocky than the main beach, but it is a short walk to any of the beaches. We did spend our first night in one of the Garden View Bungalows due to changing our trip dates, and the condition of this room was not as much what we expected. We had a corner unit where the view from the window was of a fence in the back of the property, and the room definitely needed some upgrades (cracks in the floor, broken blinds in the shower, etc.). I know that the property is in the process of doing renovations, so hopefully this room (Room 81) is on the list. Amenities: The grounds are beautiful, with four different options for beaches, in addition to the amazing infinity pool on a hill overlooking the ocean. It did seem that the beach chairs tended to be claimed early, though we never had any issues getting chairs near the pool. It is easy to get kayaks, snorkeling gear, etc. to use. We enjoyed the food, especially for being buffet style. There were always different options (including local options) in addition to staples. We also booked a private dinner, which was a multi-course meal with excellent ambiance. Drinks were delicious with a wide variety of options. My wife got a massage, to which she gave positive reviews. Service: Overall, the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and there was always someone around to help when needed. We never had to wait long for a drink or anything else we were looking for. Special shout-out to Sackeno (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) and Errol, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we loved our relaxing stay and would recommend Hawksbill to anyone. As mentioned, hopefully renovations on all of the rooms continue to make the property even nicer.

We loved our honeymoon spent at Hawksbill Resort. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful. The resort is pretty quiet, which we loved. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms could use some updates but the location and view is unbeatable at this place! For the most part, we enjoyed the food. There was a variety of dishes served at each meal. Tamarind had the best service and we enjoyed the nightly entertainment though we wish there were more shows like the Fire Dancer! We were unimpressed by PD's food and service. The drinks were strong and we enjoyed many beverages at Sea Grapes. We went to check out the clothing optional beach called Eden Beach but we're instantly creeped out by locals that I don't think we're supposed to be there. We also loved the wildlife on the resort. There were pigs, goats, ducks and a cute little cat hanging around. Overall, we would return to Hawksbill and definitely recommend. The value was unbeatable for this island.

Beautiful resort. The grounds are well looked after, and it when you are sitting on the beach, it really is paradise. The rooms are rustic, clean, and comfortable. The bathrooms are very modern with lovely showers. The staff are very polite and helpful and work really hard to make sure you have everything you need. Food is plentiful with lots of options and better than average for buffet. Sea Grapes beach is great for relaxing and swimming and close to the bar for drinks and snacks. I can't wait to go back.

After a horrendous first week in the Royalton CHIC we managed to secure a booking at the Hawksbill. We were greeted by Shaunice who was very welcoming and explained all about the resort. Suddenly we felt a weight off of our shoulders and an opportunity to appreciate Antigua. The sound of the Caribbean sea a welcome change from large parties of drunken guests and clashing music. ||Fenton seemed to act like a conduit for all of the guests from his role running (together with Gerrald) watersports, tour guide through to spinning the tunes of an evening. ||All restaurant and bar staff were friendly and added to that warm resort feeling. Clearly many guests appreciated this as there were many a returning booker.||As it was a last minute booking we were initially placed in a standard room but were moved after one day to the room up by the infinity pool which had a wonderful view (see main TripAdvisor photo) and was far more comfortable.||The resort is a little off the beaten track but taxis can be easily booked to take you into St Johns and various tours. Our round the island boat trip (Extreme) picked us up from the beach which was very convenient. ||If I was to be honest, the resort does seem a little tired around the edges and the food could do with a little more variety considering it is all inclusive. Nice for a week but it could be a challenge for a longer period.||Thank you for rescuing our holiday though. We eventually found the love we were hoping for with Antigua.

My wife and I felt at home at this cozy and quaint resort the moment we arrived. |With only a few hundred guests and the entire resort feeling like a little village it made for a very relaxing 7 days in Antigua. A few of the staff asked to be mentioned by name in this review but by doing so we would miss so many. ALL of the staff at this resort are friendly, helpful and kind to everyone. It is them who makes the resort so unique. Great food, beautiful beaches and spectacular scenery!

I loved this hotel. I loved my room and how close it was to the ocean ( garden view) I loved that they cater to the animals. Some mornings you can find goats, ducks, or a little pig, roaming eating grass and the fruits from the tree. |This hotel is so relaxing. The crowd was very elderly, and I was ok with that since I didn't come to party. This is not your family, young crowd type of hotel. The views are so pretty, and a beautiful sunset near the rock. A nude beach is nearby, if you want to feel extra relaxed, just a little warning, pigs come out and bathe and relax as well. The wifi was excellent, one of the best I've experienced away from the States. It rained, so the water was very choppy, but still a beautiful view. I will be coming back.

This is a 3 star all inclusive in my opinion. Cons... the FOOD. It is just NOT good. We stayed 4 nights. By day three we dreaded going to dinner and wished we were closer to restaurants outside the resort. We had a car, but the location of this resort did not make it feasible to leave for meals. For this reason, I would not stay here again. Low end alcohol as well. We never received clean towels in our room and always had to ask for them. Our room was not the "Oceanfront" room so be careful when booking. Never enough beach chairs. You have to go early and put your towels out. Pros... the beach is beautiful, walkable to Eden Beach and also beautiful! Use of kayaks, and paddle boards was great. Rooms are fine, clean and basic. Quiet and relaxing place.

Although a little tired, the resort is very pleasant, with amazing views, friendly, responsive, attentive staff, and excellent food. Although the selection of entrees choices is somewhat limited compared to larger resorts, the food that they do serve is far better and flavorful than most all inclusive resorts. The infinity pool is amazing. Be prepared to walk up and down inclines.
