Hawood Inn

We stayed at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Edmonton, which was considered "high-end", and the price reflected the expectation. That place was a dump! It was filthy, the staff were self-absorbed, and there were zero perks to staying there. The Hawood Inn was by far the best experience we've had as a family. The inn is clean, the rooms are spacious, the scenery is calming, the food is plentiful, the cleaning staff are beyond amazing, and the registration staff are welcoming. We can't wait to plan our return trip! There's so much to do in Waskesui as a family or as a couple. The golf courses are GORGEOUS! The trails and the beach refreshed our spirits, and after the soul-sucking experience we had in Edmonton, we definitely needed this woodland retreat.

We were here on September 17 2025. We ordered a fried chicken burger, hamburger and a chicken pot pie. The soup came as a side and was also delicious. They were excellent! They all seemed to be homemade. And all were smoking hot - temperature wise We had an impeccable server named Shek, who also made wonderful recommendations. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

We stayed at Hawood Inn at the end of August, considering the season the price was reasonable. The famous hot tubs were shut down because of the national park order to conserve water. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel's restaurant was decent. They could have a more diverse menu for breakfast. The room was clean.

The rooms are spectacular and the service is excellent. The first night I ate at the restaurant I hadn’t been pleased but breakfast was lovely. So close to the beach and lovely little shops. 10 out of 10 would recommend for everyone

spent one night . had dinner and breakfast . food was great and both waiters we had were great. Raj for breakfast good sence of humor. do not remember waiter for dinner he was wking alone did a great job. never got behind ,did it all and and the end of day did the dishes. even put up with us giving him the gears.

The Birthday surprise that your worker name Shen presented in our table really made my day! Unexpected. We really appreciate it. That was awesome! Aside from the food is delicious, room is excellent, great service! What can we ask for! We will definitely coming back!

Not worth the money. “Lake view” was a street view, honestly room was terrible and I’ve stayed in way better hotels for a quarter of the price. To elaborate: beds were small and not the comfiest. Only one nightstand in the middle of the two beds. Outdated decor and the carpet was stained and pretty gross. The shower curtain was cut above where the tub goes so there was water all over the floor every time we showered. You can hear EVERYTHING above you and I had a hard time sleeping because of it. Our patio was joined with the room next to us and I couldn’t leave the door or blinds open because this kid (old enough to know better) kept going around the corner and staring at us making us uncomfortable. He even tried to walk into our room before his parents told him to stop. Please build a fence between the rooms at least. We were also forced to book 3 days of which we didn’t get to choose the days. Friday-Monday. I asked if I could switch from Thursday to Sunday and we were denied. I booked pretty far in advance so I still don’t understand why it had to be those specific days. My biggest complaint is that our room was right off the sidewalk and I couldn’t open the curtains because people would stare right in. I got excited when they said they gave us a free upgrade to the lake view room when we checked in! Turned out it was terrible and I’d much rather be on the cheaper side. Save you money and stay somewhere else.

My husband and I spent one night here to celebrate our anniversary. The rooms are clean, and the location is great, right across from the beach. Our meals at the restaurant were very good. A friend had collaborated with the restaurant staff to surprise us with a special treat on our arrival - two little cheesecakes very beautifully presented. A very special touch.

We very much enjoyed our experience here and will return next winter. For a unique northern Saskatchewan experience it was fabulous. The paintings on the walls on the inn were diverse: both eccentric and conventional.

Arrived and got given the keys to an occupied room upon arrival. Went back down to the front desk and they acted as if that is normal. Didn't feel secure staying here but they wouldn't refund us so we could go elsewhere and no manager around to talk to until the next morning. Customer service is terrible. Other local vendors said they have heard this isn't the first time something like wrong keys given has occurred here. The manager was unpleasant to deal with as well.

Amazing staff, friendly, helpful, and absolutely went above and beyond! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Restaurant food was excellent.

Great isolated vacation spot for country skiing in winter. Popular beach hangout in summer. A bit expensive in summer, but quiet and affordable in winter. Great restaraunt, but sometimes the pub closes early if there are not enough people. Trails are goomed each morning.. Wonderful food too and much higher end then I would expect for a remote winter getaway. It is a different place in the summer with a lot of activity, but still a good place to visit
