Really poor quality and customer service. Have purchased 6 chairs there in 2015 from the Copenhague collection. Unfortunately the quality is so poor that these chairs didn’t last for even 6 years.
Though the chairs look very nice , with design you may expect from HAY, the quality of the mechanical construction is so poor that after 5 years the wood started to tear for the first chair. Then later, the second, and third, all at the same spot.
This is obviously a design error in the construction, as they all tear in the same place. Moreover, Hay took these chairs -as the only part- out of sale for the Copenhague collection. All the rest is still there, another sign there is something very wrong with these chairs
Contacting customer service , initially just with a note to make HAY aware of this , and ask whether they had any concrete suggestions to repair, led to a non-response :” go find yourself a repair shop”.
Extremely disappointing for such a (perceivedly) premium brand
