We came to Rye to celebrate my special birthday and we wanted somewhere to stay for 2 nights last weekend. There were 8 of us in 4 rooms.|The beds were comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms well thought out. The bath and showers were excellent as were the facilities in the room.|The staff were wonderful. Nothing was too|much trouble and the breakfasts were amazing! I had scallops Benedict as it was Rye Scallop week. Probably one of the most amazing tasting breakfasts I have ever had.|Kate, Corey and the lovely woman who patiently waited for us to arrive late were kind and accommodating and we can’t wait to go back but sooner than the 10 years it will take to get to my next special birthday! Highly recommend Hayden’s. Perhaps not as glitzy as the hotel up the road but the staff’s attentiveness gives Hayden’s a special shine of its own.

I spent a lovely weekend at family run Haydens in Rye. The rooms are spotless, well equipped and there are lovely touches like a coffee machine, tea, chocolate and milk in the rooms. The breakfast is complimentary and excellent, as are the cakes. The food is homemade and delicious. The staff are warm, welcoming and can't do enough for you. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. I couldn't recommend Haydens enough and I will certainly be booking to return with my family in the Spring. Thank you for a wonderful and restorative stay!

We was recommended to come here by the owner of the library down the road (the same guy who owns this place) What a great experience, the back room has a fantastic view, we came for scones with clotted cream and jam and all ended up with something different and it was all brilliant. The toilets were exceptionally clean too. Great food

I stayed at Hayden's on a cold wet wintery weekend in January and the welcoming I got could not have been more welcome and warming. ||The B&B is a small family run business but don't let this put you off. It's run much more like a larger hotel and the amenities are great for such a small place. There's so many things included in the price. ||I was greeted by a very polite receptionist and checked in to the silver room. Upon entiering I noticed how large the room was compared to other comparable B&Bs, much larger than most hotels. The room was beautifully finished and had tea, coffee, biscuits and even a small fridge with complimentary water. The toiletries were all locally sourced which i understand is the ethos of the establishment. Along with the room itself there was the view which was beautiful out over the marshes and onto Dungeness. ||I had dinner with the family that own and operate the hotel and it was lovely. I had beef Bourguignon with a side of fresh locally sourced vegetables and it was extremely tasty. For pudding there was a choice of tiramisu or Eton Mess. Both looked so appetising but I was full from the main course! In the morning I had a full english cooked breakfast and all the ingredients were absolutely top class, no brakes brothers grey mushy sausages. All the food was fantastic and I was extremely impressed and wouldn't heistate to return. ||A really very pleasant trip and so nice to find a local business supporting local people and promoting the area where they are based. ||Keep up the great work!

Outstanding B&B. We stayed in the Indigo room which had an incredible view of the sun rising. Breakfast is unparalleled in Rye; local produce, expertly cooked and an extensive menu. Very friendly owners. Will 100% stay again.

Just spent a really lovely weekend here. Beautiful little family run hotel. The Sandpiper room has lovely views and was absolutely spotless. Coffee and cakes are all complimentary and the food is not only delicious but is also beautifully presented. All the staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I feel a special mention must be given to Cory and the lovely lady chef. Already looking to book to go back next year. ♥

Despite being very busy, Corey and the staff had time to help us find our way round Rye, courtesy of a map they gave us. Also gave us recommendations for parking, which was much appreciated.|We had some of their excellent home baking and coffee and enjoyed the view.

Yelp
Located in the picturesque town of Rye, near Hastings you'll find the hidden treasure that is Haydens coffee shop. Rye is quintessentially English and very popular with locals and tourists alike for its timeless look, surrounded by rolling hills and scenic views. I frequent the area about once a month and no visit is complete with a visit to Haydens. At the end of the high street, it has a prime location for people to pop in for a coffee and a snack in between their tour of the town but they also have great options in their breakfast and lunch menus. I, myself, always have to have at least one meal here with either a bacon sandwich made with locally raised pork, or a plate of their amazing pancakes, with a lot of times both of them since I have trouble deciding! As well as locally sourced meats and produce, everything else on the menu is home-made and hand cut, which shows in the quality and attention to detail of the food on offer. Gluten-free, vegetarian and most other food intolerances are catered for. There is an area at the front that feels cosy like your living room and the back of the building opens up with a bright and spacious conservatory complete with balcony seating that overlooks the River Rother towards Rye Harbour and beyond. If you need a room for the night they also double up as a B&B with a choice of 8 large and tastefully decorated bedrooms that all come with en-suite and lots of other amenities. Definitely give this hidden gem a visit if you're ever in town, even if it's just for a coffee and slice of cake!

Yelp
My friends and I came here after being rudely spoken to from The Fig. The lunch was lovely and really good portions for the cost. The seating is lovely in the back and service was good.
