"Day Trip on the Water Waxholmsbolaget runs ferries from Slussen to Vaxholm, and the ride usually takes about an hour each way. Probably the most visited within Stockholm’s archipelago, Vaxholm offers these main attractions: a 16th-century fortress; a harbor lined with wooden cottages; and restaurants, cafés, and shops. Day trips from Stockholm are popular, and the island's narrow alleys are made for walking. Vaxholm also serves as gateway to other islands within Roslagen commune such as Österåker, Norrtälje, and Östhammar."

Nice and large hotel in the middle of Stockholm downtown and near the pedestrian area shopping, and walkable to the Gamla Stan Old Town 👍 Rooms are very clean and modern. A/C control is centralized. Rooms lack a dresser with drawers to unpack your clothes. Very good breakfast buffet with nice service staff. Front desk has typically 2-3 friendly and helpful attendants, but it gets very busy during the peak check-in hours. There is a good restaurant and bar on the premises.

Great experience for our 2 nights in Stockholm. Upon checkin we were given an upgrade and the room was beautiful and spacious, a perfect way to end our trip. The lobby and hotel was beautiful, with great decor. Views into the main plaza of that area made for great people watching and my husband appreciated the bedroom having no windows- perfect for getting a good night of sleep in endless summer light. Convenient to tram for heading south and walking distance to Gamla Stan and other fun neighborhoods.

Stayed at the Haymarket hotel as part of a pre-cruise trip. The hotel location is convenient. The room was larger than expected. The bed was comfortable and there were double black-out curtains. That’s the good stuff.|Our room was located looking over the market square which might be desirable except there was music until midnight. Out of 6 charging outlets in the room only one worked. The room was adequately cleaned but could have used a more thorough cleaning.

This was my first visit to Stockholm. I am happy to say that upon our check- in, we were warmly greeted by Ms. Cheyenne Wiklund. Despite having a slight mix up with our reservation, she quickly understood the situation and made the necessary adjustments needed. Her professionalism and great "can do" attitude is a valuable asset to your hotel. ||The hotel location, facilities and staff were outstanding. Our next visit will definitely include another stay there as well as recommending the same for family and friends.

Beautiful hotel with vintage charm and a perfect location in the heart of Stockholm. Super stylish lobby, comfy rooms, and great breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Ended up here when everything else was booked, and will make sure not to come again. |Location is central, interior is a bit worn by decent. However, room was noisy (bar outside), gym exceptionally poor (on an inner garden for everyone to ogle with very limited equipment) and closed between 10pm and 6am. |This might be good for someone on a budget, but if you like to sleep during your nights, pick anything else.|Personnel at check in was lovely, though. They noticed that I had been booked into a windowless room, which had not been done on purpose, and were able to find a new room.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Fantastic BF buffet. Great location. Clean room with a great bed. The only negative is there isn't enough hanging space. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Yelp
Stayed here on a short trip to Sweden. The hotel overall felt very secure, especially in the evening with a night guard that allowed entry. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly, would recommend!

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Beautifully decorated and designed. The bathrooms are a little hard to maneuver in, but still very beautiful. The breakfast is awesome!

Yelp
I'm rather conflicted because there are pros & cons to this hotel, but ultimately I would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend this to friends. Location - 5 stars. Located right in the middle of a pedestrian-only shopping thoroughfare, lots of food choices and easy to reach via Arlanda Express (approx 10 minute walk, taxis would not take us) Rooms - 3 stars. We booked a "junior suite" and it honestly wasn't clean enough. The curtains have clearly never been dusted, my allergies were set off the entire time. There was an extra duvet in the bedside storage which (EWWWW) was unwashed and stained. Bathroom - 1 star. I know Stockholm hotels are small but this was literally smaller than a cruise ship cabin bathroom. It was difficult to turn around in there. Also the toilet really stunk like raw sewage. GROSS Breakfast - 4 stars for being "free". Selection was excellent and tasty. There are other yelp reviews which mentioned bad service or negativity from the staff. We didn't experience that but agree they could have been friendlier (they were mostly indifferent). Hotel Bar and Restaurants- to be honest this place really seems like a restaurant first and a hotel second. We saw virtually no level of hotel service but the restaurants were filled with servers. Service - 1 star. No service at all to speak of. No bell hop, no room service calls, no check out assistance. Even when the check in line was about 8 people in on a busy Friday afternoon there was only 1 receptionist. It was ridiculous. We were rather jet lagged and placed our do not disturb sign on for 2 days and never got a call to replenish towels or amenities. Luggage storage - staffed by only 1 person even on extremely busy days. Bring your patience.

Yelp
Location: 5 stars. Chose this hotel for its central location as you can walk from the Arlandria express airport train stop at Central station, you can walk to old town and the hotel sits on top of the pedestrian shopping street. Rooms: 4 stars. Our room was two twins and a full bath. It was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable and it had a tv. My two small complaints is that we were hot despite turning the AC down (the hotel offered to come up and take a look, we thought the following day it felt cooler so cancelled that but were still warm so this complaint is as much on us anyone) and I'd like a fan in the bathroom. Some rooms don't have windows apparently, but ours did into a courtyard which didn't both me. Breakfast: Options were plentiful, hot eggs and sausage, yogurts and cereals and meats and cheeses and bread. They also will prepare breakfast in a bag for you if you are leaving too early to catch the normal breaky which had a sammy, a smoothie, apple and muffins. A truly nice touch Extras: They have a well functioning baggage storage room, so if you are arriving early or leaving late, definitely make use of this. The bar is adorable in a 20s decore and our bartender was sweet and made us some killer cocktails.

Yelp
They are extremely clueless and rude here. 1st issue: my luggage was stored away prior to my check-in time. I finally get to my room hours later and I'm told that they can't just bring up the luggage because I have to bring them the ticket. Seriously? Other hotels don't do this stupid crap. 2nd issue: the chef in the kitchen threw shade at me for asking for oatmeal (he didn't understand, so I said, 'porridge'; he questions it with one of his staff members while rolling his eyes) yet when I asked the rest of the staff about getting oatmeal, they knew what I meant and didn't give an attitude. Dude, you're in the kitchen adhering to guest's request. Get the hell over yourself and quit having a nasty attitude. Also, the breakfast buffet was a cluster disaster. It was completely unorganized in regards to how use approach the food stations. It was unbelievably annoying & people kept running into each other. Omg, use common sense, guys! As for the hotel room, it was okay. The visitor's photos on TripAdvisor are even deceiving though. It just wasn't as great of a hotel room that was as fancy as this hotels portrays itself.

Yelp
I popped in here for a coffee before meeting a friend for dinner after hearing it was newly opened. I was really impressed by the decor of the hotel, it's really beautiful. A charming mix of Art Deco and contemporary details. As its brand new it was really busy so I had to take my coffee and sit on a side bar couch. Which was perfect for a coffee but not when we decided to maybe stick around here for food. There were no seats for dining free an no system in place for getting a table either so unfortunately we didn't get the chance to try the menu here which I'm taking a star away for. I look forward to coming back, having there food in either there cafe bar downstairs or the restaurant Pauls upstairs next time.

Yelp
The hotel is great! Rooms are clean and have everything a business traveler would need. The location is fantastic as well. I've been staying in this hotel every time I travel to Stockholm. The one area that has gotten worse is the breakfast. The selection. Used to be much larger, with smoked salmon and larger variety of warm breakfast options. Nowadays it is quite difficult to find a good breakfast option especially when staying for several days.

Yelp
When in the city & decided to have a lunch in style, this is one of the best picks specially on Fridays. Packed with crowd & well dressed staff running around in a very impressively decorated room. I love the feeling I get when I'm there... extravagance of old times & modern at the same time. The plates are amongst one of the best presented plates I have ever seen. It's a bit pricier lunch compare to other places in the city but it's totally worth it. I just wished they had more options to choose from.

Yelp
A perfect hotel in Stockholm! This hotel is totally gorgeous - they've fully embraced a 1920s art deco style and it's very charming. (Fun fact: before the building was a hotel, it housed a department store where Greta Garbo worked as a shop girl!) Giant lobby with a happening bar and a coffee shop. Rooms and bathrooms are quite sizeable by European standards. Ask for a high floor room with a balcony to get a great view and some extra space! Location is excellent - the hotel is short walk from the Central Station, which has the Arlanda Express tram direct to and from the airport. It's also located next to a large outdoor market and a large indoor food hall (the famous Kajsas Fisk fish soup is located there.) It's a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to Gamla Stan, Stockholm's historic old town. Could not have a picked a better location. The hotel serves a beautiful complimentary buffet breakfast that is delicious and ample! We've all had the sad, cold croissants that some hotels pass off as continental breakfast; this place has a huge table of breads, cheeses, veggies, and cold cuts (traditional Swedish breakfast), as well as a hot bar with eggs, sausages, bacon, etc. Really filling for a long day outside in freezing temperatures. Finally, the service at the hotel was excellent. Our luggage was delayed coming off our flight and the concierge was very helpful in getting it delivered to us. Erik was particularly helpful in walking us through some maps of the city and providing guidance on sights and public transportation. The lobby bar is legitimately a happening night spot on the weekends and we can't say enough good things about the bartenders, particularly Oskar, who were friendly and knowledgeable about drinks! Would 100% recommend this place and stay again.

Yelp
Good hotel, with great location . Rooms are quite small but have everything you need and a cozy restaurant

Yelp
Very busy environment. Would not recommend for doing any legal or business work. The more striking problem however is the service of the waitstaff who are obviously on edge. I ordered a coffee here, paid $4. When asking for a refill the attendant told me not to do self service. I stated I had not tried to refill the coffee which is why I was asking. He then put his hand on my chest and pushed me from the bar. Wow. The manager then came over and offered apology. There are simply other places to go in Stockholm. If you're in the area the Filmstaden has a nice bar and cafe with much less distraction.

Yelp
This is a very good example of what an old spot in a city can be converted into. The lobby is full of life and glamorous. Touched by filming industry details, such as a camera, and towards the back a sequence of live old films being played in black and white. Definitely five stars

Yelp
This is truly a gem in Stockholm. Love the Art Deco theme and bar area. Room was very comfortable and enjoyed a good rest. Room a decent size for Europe. Breakfast was very good, lovely selection of food, can get a little busy, so get there early. Good shopping and lots of places to eat close to hotel. Good wifi as well. Definitely recommend staying here.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this bar/restaurant. It's a great place to mingle and meet working professionals and the food is amazing.

Yelp
If your flying in and arriving before 3pm , good luck getting a room. You will likely burn your morning and afternoon waiting on an accommodation. Otherwise the hotel is modern with comfortable rooms and in a great location.

Yelp
A very upscale hotel with a nostalgic ambience of the roaring twenties. The room we were given was of a very nice size overlooking the market square. The building was converted to a hotel from a warehouse so there are some aspects that reflect that transition. The bathroom is a step-up from the room, most likely to accommodate the drainage from the retro-installed facilities. Only enjoyed the on site dining/drinking venues for breakfast but found Paul's to be a pleasure to buffet in. There was a wide variety of choices from American (eggs and sausage) to European (Breads/meats & cheeses) to Scandinavian (Herring and garnishes). The approach to the hotel front door is the 4 acre plaza that supports daily flower and spice vendors who fully clear the square by 2000 and are back by 0600 the next morning; rain or shine. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes walking distance from the Old Town and the harbor venues. Great room, Great Breakfast (probably other meals), and Great Location.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and we had an outstanding room, jr. suite. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant and bar was both lively, yet approachable. Thought the deco 1930's vibe would get old, but didn't!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with large rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is incredible. Highly recommended and will be returning for sure.

Yelp
Haymarket has a quite good - albeit somewhat expensive - brunch-menu. What they don't have on the menu is snails, on the sole condition they hired them all as waiters and kitchen-staff. If you like to wait 30 minutes for a simple dish as a French Toast, then my friend, it's your lucky day today.

Daniel N.

Yelp
wtf? 30 min for a cocktail order and its not even full. reminded them once, and still no action. Nice atmosphere, lounge and all, but subpar service overall. Previous visits better, but still not up to par. Worth a visit, kind of, but with only if time is not of importance. Scandic, you can do better if you want customer coming back..

Yelp
The list of things that went wrong during my stay here could fill a dictionary. I'll just list the top few. They knowingly put guests on the top floor of the hotel even though they knew they had problems with the elevator reaching that floor. My room was entered several times, even though I clearly had the do not disturb sign on my door. A gift bag that I had received was stolen from my room during one of these unwanted entries. The hotel lacks enough irons so I was left to go out with clients looking like I'd just slept in my clothing. One of my clients, also staying at the hotel, was walked in on by other guests in her room. Apparently they'd double booked the room.

Patrick L.

Yelp
Hotel is in a great location, right outside a daily farmer's market and the Stockholm Concert House. It's next to the Hotorget metro train stop and a few blocks from the main train/bus station. The rooms were huge, not just for Europe, but anywhere. The breakfast buffet was easily one of the best I've ever been to and often the best meal of the day. Nice people, and we got early check-in. On the con side, the fan/AC barely works, if that's important to you. There's some street noise, so bring a sound machine or app. The cocktails at the bar were just ok. There's a small Systembolaget (the only place you can buy booze in Sweden, outside of hotels, restaurants, and weak beer in some grocery stores) conveniently in the food hall next to the hotel.

Yelp
Do not book this hotel if you are trying to get there by car. In my case it was a rental car. I have driven in far more chaotic places (Tokyo, Kuwait, Paris, Barcelona or NYC for example) and could not drive anywhere close to this hotel as it is right on the walking mall. Not accessible by car. They say it is, but the spots are just for Taxis and they don't want you to park there. I called the reception when having a hard time finding it (also construction which blocked several access points that Google Maps did not know about). At first try no one answered. Second try I was put on hold for five minutes. Third try I got a gentleman on the phone who spoke English poorly. I did ask him if they have someone that speaks English (and I totally sympathize, since English is my second language as well). He said "I speak English"... however a few minutes later he admitted that he doesn't know how to explain the directions in English. He told me that they have an agreement with a parking garage that "you can get a discount through us" is two blocks away. I had four pieces of luggage. And since they don't offer valet service (which they should since they are impossible to get to) I didn't want to walk two blocks with four pieces of luggage. So instead I canceled this five night booking, ate the cost for one night that they will charge me for a short notice cancellation, and booked at the "At Six" hotel in downtown Stockholm, which has a better location, valet service, etc. Will leave a review for that hotel when I am done staying here. If you don't plan on arriving by car or with a lot of luggage this hotel will be fine. I am sure it is a nice hotel otherwise, other reviews seem to be positive.
