Everything is very bad. 1. There are bed bugs in the room. In huge quantities. There is poison under the mattresses, but it does not save. On the first night we found a couple of bugs, but did not attach any importance to this. In the morning, upon careful inspection, it became clear that there are many of them, and they are everywhere: on the sheets, headboards, and sometimes even on the hair! We were lucky on the first night, the bugs were fed with the blood of other guests and by great chance they did not bite us. Of course, we asked for a room change. 2. The hotel staff is poorly focused on the comfort of the guests. After asking for a change, we were told that there was only one room. We went to look at it. It was in the same building, but visually no bugs were found, however, the room was smaller, the view was worse, we paid for a triple room, and we were offered a double. In response to these reasonable comments, the hotel administrator made a face of displeasure and said that so be it, they had another room. We went to look at it too, there were no bedbugs there either, but we do not rule out that they were removed right before our visit. The second room offered suited us and we decided to stay in it. It was worth seeing the administrator's reaction, as if he thought: "finally they calmed down." 3. "Glass breakfasts." Often, many products ran out or were completely absent, regardless of whether you came at the beginning or the end of breakfast. You can eat, but without pleasure. To conclude: despite the fact that they changed our room, bedbugs were there too. One of the nights they still bit us and left stains "in a trail" on our limbs. They may not be visible, but they filled the entire hotel. These are serious violations of sanitation, requiring attention from the authorities, since the hotel administration does not want to close the buildings and poison them. Pros: nice view, beautiful and authentic rooms, great location, decent price (if it weren't for the bedbugs)

Very Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a very bad experience. After my stay, I discovered what appear to be fake positive reviews, possibly submitted using my name or account on Booking.com without my consent — which raises serious concerns about integrity. As for the stay itself: • The air conditioning did not work on the first night. • The hotel is located near a train bridge, and the frequent sound of trains crossing made it difficult to relax. • On top of that, there was a power outage, and the generator noise was so loud it was nearly impossible to sleep. • The building is very old, poorly maintained, and located in a dark, isolated area that does not feel welcoming or safe. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable or restful stay.

The location of the hotel is great and close to everything, but it's on a steep hill which makes it really tiring, especially when you're heading out for breakfast or walking around. The room they gave us was spacious, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, it wasn't very clean. The bed was also uncomfortable and felt uneven.Another downside was that the room was located far from the main hotel building, so it felt like we were staying somewhere completely different. That was pretty inconvenient.Overall, the experience wasn't completely bad, but there are definitely things that need improvement for a better stay.

This was the worst experience in our travels. The room was so small we couldn't open our suit cases. The room smelled and had a dirty carpet. The room was over the train very loud, don't expect to sleep. The area is questionable and told by locals it's a dangerous area. We decided to switch hotels even though we already paid it was worth leaving!! The front desk clerk was very angry and unbeknownst to us told the taxi driver to take us to the bus stop. Luckily the taxi driver spoke English. Would not recommend 😕

Lovely, traditional hotel. My room was compact but had everything I need ~ including a little balcony! Amazing views of the city from on top of the hill; The pool and view from the sunbathing area is stunning. Helpful staff and option to book tours from there too.Very delicious breakfast!

I don't know where to start - the mold on the walls ? The receptionist smoking all night long next to our room ? The 110 years old mattress in a V shape ? The goulag' type of breakfast? The sewage smell ? If you enjoy living your life, avoid this hotel at all cost !!! My partner and I had tears when we first saw the room. Save yourself! Read the reviews.

It's a nice cosy place in Istanbul where we spend a day between two trips. The hotel occupies several beautifully renovated old buildings on top of the hill. You'll get a stunning view on the harbour and the city. The room was as expected - not big, but warm and clean. The only minor thing you should consider - it's wet there (because of the climate and the sea) so if you are allergic to mold, you need to choose your room carefully.Breakfast was good and the stuff superb and very welcoming ❤The train station is right below the hill so it's easy to travel around the area. There are also lots of shops and cafes below. Loved this place!

Yelp
We had the best stay in this little gem! The staff was super helpful, arranged our transportation from the airport and even though our flight was 12 hours late, there was someone to meet us at 2am! They booked our dinner cruise and arranged for a Turkish bath. The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. The room was a bit small, but elegant with a beautiful view of the river. I can't wait to stay here again

Yelp
LOVED this hotel! It was a beautiful, magical place you would find after driving down tiny winding roads for 15 minutes. And when you get there and come through the gates, a stunning little hotel awaits. A small marble courtyard, and old-style building, completely with a small winding staircase. The furnishings in the rooms was a beautiful romantic French style - from the headboard to the beautiful phone on the nightstand. The bathrooms were small but pretty, equipped with Turkish bath facilities also. The hotel restaurant overlooked the pool and offered a sublime view - it was basically a rooftop patio! The breakfast every morning was a nice spread of at least 5 types of delicious cheeses and bread, along with fresh cherries, tomatoes, jam, and some eggs and cold cuts. It was an absolute TREAT every single morning. The front desk staff were super warm, friendly and approachable. There are also steam room and Turkish bath facilities which are a little bit confusing if you're not sure what to do. All in all, this hotel was gorgeous, and I would highly recommend it!
