Hayward Family Restaurant

First timer, stopped in about 10am on a Saturday. Got seated right away, all staff seemed happy to be there. Food was delicious and hot and fast. The man (i assume) manage, maybe the owner, was up front, hands on clearing tables and delivering food. To me, this shows a focus on keeping customers AND employees happy. My sister hadthe Hayward plate, I had the cornbeef hash Benedict OMG YES! Just stop in, you know you're hungry

His head plans to go to another restaurant.But since this was close by to what we were doing, we decided to stop in here. It was a little after twelve and the place was packed. We got seated at the very last table in the restaurant. We figured it would take quite some time to get service, Let alone our food. We got served on quite quickly, and the food came out in a very timely manner. The food was prepared beautifully. The total time we were actually in there was less than an hour. There's a large parking lot that is free to park and is handicapped accessible. The whole experience was magnificent, and I highly recommend anybody traveling to stop into this restaurant.

We were in town and wanted breakfast. But we had the dog with us. We were going to get food to go. Looked up several family restaurants and chose this one. Was pleasantly surprised to see they had outdoor seating. I asked if our dog could be out there. They said yes! There was only one other customer outside so we sat at an end table, since the dog, a lab, can get very excited. Worked out great! My granddaughter had the croissant egg and cheese sandwich with the bacon on the side. She LOVED IT! I had my usual 2 eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon and pancakes. Otis the dog was being very good so he got a few bites of pancakes 😋 The waitress was GREAT! Very accommodating. Everything was delicious, as ordered and came out quickly. I would highly recommend this place 👌 😄 😍 BTW, that's my favorite seasoning, I snuck in, not provided by the restaurant. Shh. 🤭

Reuben sandwich was tasteless. The corned beef seemed ultra hot as having been microwaved. Toast was soggy. Fries were lukewarm. My friend had stuffed French toast which was very good.

Not sure what the rave is. I heard best pancakes ever. To me they were very average (which is still good bc they’re pancakes but def tasted like they came from a box). My skillet was good. My wife’s burger looked totally run of the mill. Not bad but not special at all. All in all the food was fine, and also came in a timely fashion, hence the 4 star rating, but nothing spectacular at all. I expected more based on the other reviews. For anyone wondering…. Era’s has the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted. Bar none!!! I had them 2 days earlier, so maybe I was spoiled by them.

Breakfast was delicious! Prices were reasonable and portions were large! We will definitely be going back again.

Best hot beef plate I've had from a family restaurant. Tender. Gravy had great flavor. Adequate amount of Mash. Gonna add it as a stop any time I'm that way.

We received this restaurant as a recommendation after our visit at the fresh after fishing hall of fame and they were correct. This restaurant was wonderful. We were immediately greeted with a warm and friendly manner and even though it was a busy Saturday we got a table right away. Our server was very friendly and attentive without being overly pushy. The food was phenomenal. The Mediterranean chicken sandwich wad very tasty and the BLT club was unlike any sandwich I've ever had. The bacon was top notch and cooked to the perfect texture. The cheesecurds were different than anything I've ever had and thats saying something. The had the crunch of a panko breading with the fry and consistency of a battered cheesecurd. If you are ever in Hayward I would reccomend giving this place a try.
