Great wine tasting experience at Haywire Winery today! We each had different flights and staff had good knowledge of their products which are fermented in concrete, not the usual oak barrels. They explained some of the processes to us, too, right at the concrete vats. Our favourite wine was the Narrative Cabernet Franc 2019. We also tasted their Narrative Gin and found it full of wonderful botanical flavours - so we had to buy 2 bottles. Highly recommend Haywire Winery if you’re in the Summerland area!

Not a unique taste of wine bur still high quality wines. It’s good for relaxing. Very welcoming stuff. Wine tasting cost you but is not waiving with purchase.

Haywire is a must visit for me any time I’m in the Okanagan. Delicious wine, snacks and there’s always somewhere comfortable for us to sit, sip and chat. Today, we had the pleasure of being helped by John. He was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. John answered all our questions and gave us some great suggestions. By the end of our visit, both myself and my friend decided to join the wine club. I’m really looking forward to our next visit, and a big thank you to John for making our visit today extra special!

i really enjoyed the wines here. after my tasting i bought merlot, a cab franc, and i also purchased a bottle of the absinthe too! i enjoyed the wines so much that i joined the wine club . the person serving our tasting ( i think his name is John) was amazing , he was very knowledgeable about all the labels coming out of the winery. the tasting was free since i purchased wine but honestly it was a fair price for a tasting regardless. highly recommend !

We had an amazing wine tasting experience with John. He was a great host and convinced us to sign up for their wine club which resulted in our tasting fees being waived for our whole party, and 20% off all the wine we purchased that day. Will definitely come back for another tasting when we are visiting next year.

Loved this winery so much! Wine was delicious but Ronda made our experience so much better. She’s so personable and friendly! Thank you again!

We visited Haywire on our way back from the Kettle Valley steam train ride. We didn’t make a reservation, but got in right away. However, I definitely recommend making one, because we did get the last available table on a rainy day. At any rate! The winery is beautiful, and the hospitality given by everyone was welcoming and so friendly! The architecture and design of the winery is really what I like to point out - it is so modern, a lot more contemporary than others in the area. I had asked about the formed concrete work (because it is outstanding!!) one of the founders used to do concrete work, before opening the winery. I also love the story behind the name “Haywire!” We really enjoyed all of the wine we tasted. Will be back next time for sure.

A huge thank you to Okanagan Crush Pad for hosting the BCIR Porsche Club today, the whole experience was absolutely amazing. The team went above and beyond to welcome and take care of our group with fabulous smiling service and attention to detail. We will be back!

Yelp
Lots of fun with the staff and great wines! Aged in concrete which is really cool. Organically farmed grapes in state-of-the-art concrete tanks, native yeast and minimal additives. The wines reflect the region's unique high mountain/northern desert setting noted for its intensely hot, short growing season with hallmark cool evenings

Yelp
Their wine was meh for being on the expensive side. The view is not quite as good as at some other wineries in the area. Here's the kicker. Most wineries will charge between $5 and $10 for tasting and then apply it to any purchase you make. Not here. $20 for the tasting and it is not applied to any purchases. The only thing they've added that other wineries don't do is a small dish with a few nuts, dried apricots, and bits of pepperoni stick. Underwhelming!
