Yelp
One of the top coffee shops in Hong Kong. Its almost as if someone has a wish list of coffee drinks and walk to to HnH, they would be able to get what they want.
Pros:
I've been here twice, and the baristas here really know their craft. Ultra precise and ultra friendly when it comes to providing knowledge to the customer especially when it comes to the single origin coffee if you are going that route. The baristas are not snobby either when it comes to providing knowledge as they all seem very down to earth and hipster without the annoying hipster snobby attitude.
If you want it, they got it. I've gotten the nitro here, single origin Ethiopian via pour-over. If you want, they can brew it for you via french press, aeropress, mokapot, and of course, espresso as well. If you go via the espresso route, then there's another world of category from espresso to lattes to mochas to affogato. Pick and choose as you can't go wrong with any choices you make, again, their barista knows what they are doing. Oh, they also got a good selection of teas as well!
They roast their own beans, which is always a plus for me especially in HK. They also sell a lot of home products so if you need anything from filter paper for your V60 to a manual espresso machine even, they might have what you need! I bought a milk pitcher from them and they had the Rhinoware, which is one of the better brands for milk steaming pitchers.
Excellent environment. Even though the shop is in Soho, its a very chill store with no preteniousness whatsoever. HnH is also pretty big so its pretty easy to find seats! Its one of those coffee shops where you and your friends can feel comfortable to sit and chat without feeling like you have to leave asap when there's traffic coming in.
Cons:
Can't really think of much to be frank. I guess the shop is a little too clutter as they have a lot of equipments for sale, beans for sale, as well as a lot of brewing equipments on their bar. Their menu is pretty filling as most items are written in chalk so it can make the store look fuller than it actually is.
A little difficult to find if you are a newcomer as most things in Soho are unless you are familiar with the area already.
Anyways, I will definitely come and frequent Hazel and Hershey often to try everything on the menu and learn more from the baristas! This place is a true representation of how a 3rd wave coffee shop should be.
