Hazel Mountain Chocolate

This was an extremely nice surprise! I had the BEST mocha (they call it Chocolate Latte) I've ever had - and I've had LOTS of mochas! Very deep flavours, a sophisticated aroma, pleasurable thickness - I enjoyed it immensely, please never change it! I woke up the next morning with a wild craving for another one😊 The cakes looked so basic and the variety was really small, that I almost didn’t order one, so I'm glad that I did eventually- because it was excellent. I ordered a pistachio brownie, and the pistachio layer was just as crunchy as a Dubai chocolate. It was very satisfying to munch on. My friends took a carrot cake I think - it was lovely and special as well. The shop has items with such beautiful packages! And the chocolates are very good. All in all if you're in the area, do yourselves a favour and don't miss this lovely place! I would prepare some cash though, because while in the Cafe they had no issues with my credit card, they had issues with it in the factory shop, because it has zero cellular reception. Service was impeccable on both the Cafe and the shop. A word to the owners: Your website sucks big time! I wanted to order stuff that I didn't have the time to buy when visiting, because a bus full of tourists arrived and suddenly there were queues everywhere- I didn't find it in the website, there are like 3 products available there and that's all, it does not meet the excellence standards of your chocolates. Also, considering how far away you're situated, you are losing a lot of potential income from people who can't get to your location and still would like to buy your chocolates.

Beautiful! The cakes and cookies i tasted are just perfection ✨ the coffee is also great, the staff super friendly, the toilets nice and clean. The chocolate delicious. I recommend 100 procent to pass by and enjoy a coffee break. And the view!

A must stop!! Delicious coffee and incredible chocolate! We stumbled upon this place looking for coffee on our way to Galway but it ended up being so much more. The workers were knowledgeable and friendly and the chocolate was some of the best I’ve ever had.

This is now my favorite Chocolate ever! I wish I would have gotten more! Just will have to book another trip to Ireland! Thank you for the mini tour and history of your beautiful business!

My boyfriend and I both ordered hot chocolate, and the taste was absolutely amazing. The place itself had a lovely atmosphere was quiet, cozy, and comforting. It truly felt like a warm hug.

Very interesting story about their process. Nice to see sustainable, fair trade chocolate being used. There is a great deal of difference in the flavour of the chocolate with the small batch, organic approach. They've certainly turned me into a "chocolate snob"!

When I tell you that the chocolate tasting I just had was incredible, my words don’t even come close. This was nothing short of a SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE. This chocolate is undoubtedly the best I have ever had and has ruined all other chocolate for me, and I think the tasting changed my brain chemistry. Shona gave us a wonderful, expert presentation of the newly-renovated facility and is truly passionate about the ethical and serious practices of Hazel Mountain. Shona, THANK YOU. You were seriously such a joy and a fantastic guide.

What a wonderful place. Great chocolate and a beautiful history. This was our 2nd trip here. Love the chocolates and the choices. It’s a great drive thru the countryside to get there also.
