Headfort Arms Hotel

The hotel staff were very pleasant especially Matthew. Des the food beverage manager was very helpful. Food was excellent Cheeseboard fantastic. Room was comfy Towels great size. TV amazing to have it in room especially to watch the match. Overall a great value overnight stay. We will be back👍

Hotel staff were super helpful and nothing was any problem that was asked of them. The food was of excellent quality and the quality of the beverages was excellent. The only things that I could pull the hotel up on was the thermostat did work properly and the room decor was a bit tired and could do with a refresh. Apart from that I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel hosted our family and friends after a funeral on Monday 10/02/25. I need to point out the exemplary service and attention recieved from the Manageress Theresa. She was so kind and went out of her way to ensure the family were comfortable. She is an asset to the Hotel. The soup and food was delicious too. Thank you.

Stayed with the Headfort arms for 2 nights due to a power outage during storm Eowyn. I had 3 kids under 4 with me and we couldn’t of received better service. The comfy room and bath were such a treat. The evening meal and breakfast were both perfect. We received such a warm welcome and it made such a difference at a hard time. Thank you to all the staff.

We were a group attending a wedding at another venue and spent the previous night here. We were delighted with the service, friendliness and courtesy shown to all of us. A lovely meal in the bar, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast and permission for late check-out was very much appreciated. Top marks in every respect.

The photos of the hotel room on booking.com looked like a completely different hotel room. Our room was dated, cluttered and needs a complete refurb. The tiles in the bathroom were chipped. The toilet roll holder didn't work and the toilet roll kept falling off. No where to even place Toiletries in the bathroom. ||It was Valentines night and we were looking forward to a nice meal but we were very disappointed.||The food in the lounge wasn't enjoyable at all. I ordered the potato skins with bacon and cheddar and received fat of the bacon 🥓 without any actual meat. The garlic sauce had a full clove of garlic (uncrushed) which ended up in my mouth. We ordered the cajun chicken pasta for our main and the chicken was so overcooked that we burnt calories chewing on it. ||My husband ordered a pint of lager at the bar, only to receive a pint of cider which he brought back and proceeded to tell them. Apparently the keg of cider was hooked up to the lager by accident🫣. No apologies, no pint on the house for the mistake🤷🏻‍♀️.|||I will say that most of the staff were very friendly and the entertainment, which was a guy from Tipperary, playing the piano and singing was amazing 👏.

Great hotel for a weekend break away! Lovely rooms which are so clean and well looked after, staff are so helpful and are always making sure you are okay and happy with everything, the spa is a must do while staying. Couldn’t recommend the hotel enough
