Headfort Arms Hotel

The Headfort Arms Hotel is perfectly located in the middle of Kells. There is carparking to the rear . The staff were wonderful during our visit. Very welcoming. ||This was our third stay here.||The lounge and reception are beautifully decorated for Christmas and the open fire is gorgeous. We were welcomed almost as family and made to feel at home.||We stayed in room 215 which we loved. The rooms are very comfy. Large tv on the wall which has netflix Disney etc. Fine quality beds and bedding. |Our room had a nespresso machine too which we took full advantage of. ||We ordered food to the room. The menu is varied and we tried many of the offerings. The food quality is top notch!! |Cocktails were wonderful too! ||Each morning we had breakfast in the resturant which again is decorated beautifully. There are both continental and cooked breakfasts. Again the food was exceptional.||Its a great venue in every way and we cant wait to return! ||Value wise this is the best we have come across. One night cost 109 euro and thats for 2 with breakfast included.

Myself and my Sister just returned from a 2 nights stay in this Hotel.|It was a wonderful experience the Hotel itself was festive and inviting. |All the staff were so welcoming and friendly and were so accompanying the food for breakfast and Dinner was exceptional something to suit everybody needs.|The Bedrooms were spacious and tastefully decorated.|Overall a truly great experience in a great location with lots to do and see most definitely we will be back in 2026.|Regards Geraldine Hanly

I Visited for Christmas lunch with family this week . We all had an awful experience from start to finish. We all left feeling very annoyed. We couldn’t even get a clean glass to drink they were all dirty. The atmosphere wasn’t nice or what you would expect from a 4 star hotel .All the staff seemed to be gathered around behind the carvery counter gossiping. You felt as if you were a hassle by been there. No smiles just slap the food on the plate and basically thrown at you. No one was on The floor clearing tables or checking how everything was (as everyone seemed to be behind the carvery counter just chatting) .We Spent 15 minutes waiting for our drinks as there seemed to be no one behind the bar for more then one minute. Every one seemed to have no basic manners (please or thank you) . Just a very very sour experience. To add i no its Christmas time, and I no it can get quiet hectic in places, but it wasn’t busy at the time.If you cant have basic manners why work in hospitality ? I did bring this up with the manager but quite frankly she didn’t seem to bothered and never apologised, so that says it all really. Sad as it was suppose to be a lovey family lunch for Christmas as we don’t see each other as often as we would like to. Wouldn’t recommend plenty of other spots in the town with better service.

We had the most fabulous weekend at my daughters hen party recently! There were 13 of us and honestly, we couldn't find fault with anything. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. On the Friday night the bar was lively with a speed quiz and Karaoke, the DJ was so much fun! I can't remember the barman's name, but the cocktails were fab too! On the Saturday morning, we all had a relaxing spa treatment followed by afternoon tea - it was such a lovely treat! I can highly recommend the "Pamper Princess" package for anyone thinking of organising a hen party - go for it!

The Headfort Arms seemed to have a lot going on the weekend we stayed, but that didn't stop them from providing excellent service & lovely food. Because the hotel was busy, there was a lovely vibe around the place. The hotel had a lovely decor & the rooms were lovely. I will definitely return again if I am in that area.

lovely hotel. Very warm, cosy atmosphere. Lovely fires. Staff, service, food and drink all very good. Our room for 3 adults was a little tight. It was difficult getting by each other and the table and chairs were stuck in an awkward corner.

We didn't stay, but stopped in to have lunch. Which was lovely with very friendly efficient service. This visit we popped in for the carvery had the restaurant food the previously both were lovely.

Fabuous clean and comfortable hotel on the main street. Rate was excellent and very good value compared to others in the locality on that night. Beautiful food in the bar. Very tasty and excelent service.
