I so wanted to love this place but oh my goodness...the rooms are so dated and quite frankly could use a good scrubbing. On the plus side the room was very large, king size bed, single bed, couch and a small table and chairs. The down side, both bed side cabinets had bits hanging off them, the sofa was stained, the sheets were unbelievably scratchy and the room was unbearably warm. Top windows open but almost impossible to close, there was a cold air blower but not much use. Hardly any power points, none near the bed, had to unplug the kettle and fridge to charge phones. The room was quiet until 7am one morning as they were cutting the grass than up until 1am as they were packing away the LED hoardings. Phone call at 9.45pm asking me to move my car to another car park.
However, the staff were lovely and if you are looking for basic accommodation with an amazing view of the cricket ground then it's fine. Amazing for us for the Hundred as we got to see the women train the day before and so incredibly convenient to walk back to the room after the match had finished. They could do so much more with what they have. Way too expensive for what I got. So if you go into it with your eyes open realising it's very basic (I've stayed in better Travelodges) and are a cricket fan then it might be OK.
