Best places for a foot massage in Bangkok - SilverKris

"A well-known multi-outlet spa chain regarded as a go-to for locals seeking an affordable pick-me-up; it bills itself as a one-stop wellness shop and has offered a range of therapies for nearly two decades, from Ayurvedic oil massages to foot reflexology. The central Sathorn Road outlet is especially popular before nights out at nearby trendy cafes, and despite the polished surroundings foot treatments remain reasonably priced." - SilverKris

I was fortunate enough to visit Health Land Sathorn three times while I spent a week at a nearby Dusit hotel. The first visit was an authentic Indian Ayurvedic massage package including abhyanga, shirodharya, foot massage and I added shirobhyanga. Truly surreal and performed by a trained expert in the art, who goes by “Lot” #157. The next day I came back for a last minute foot massage after an exhausting day, and got “Que” #418 who was kind and strong. She knew exactly what I needed. The final day indulged a two hour oil massage by “Narin” #245. All were highly trained and professional, and all managed to stay calm and sweet despite the bus load of tourists the got dumped off at one point without appointments for foot massages. Receptionists are very organized and friendly. Call the number for last minute requests and don’t bother with the app or online booking unless you’re trying to book for the following day. The herbal creams are definitely worth purchasing as well. They smell amazing and work better than the tiger balm stickers sold everywhere else. Definitely don’t miss this beautiful spa in the luxurious old style mansion house. Fantastic experience all around.

Love this place. The therapists were very good and are masters at their work. The massage area is super serene and great for the foot massage we had there. The lighting is great for relaxation. The place is clean and beautifully decorated.

맛싸쥐빧은꼿쭝 췌악 여긘가즤마쒜여 First of all, I have never been disappointed in Thailand—until now. This is by far the worst massage place I’ve ever experienced. I specifically paid extra for a 2-hour therapeutic massage because I had pain in my legs from walking a lot. Unfortunately, the therapist clearly had no understanding of muscles or proper technique. Instead of working on my sore muscles, she kept pressing directly on my bones, which was extremely painful. I repeatedly asked her to focus on my muscles, but she either didn’t understand or chose to ignore my request. At one point, she just started wasting time by pressing completely irrelevant areas like my thigh fat. After two long hours, nothing improved—no relief, only stress and frustration. I left feeling worse than when I arrived. Absolutely not worth the money or time.

This is one of the smaller branch of Health Land in Bangkok. Visited twice this trip as it was closer to my hotel. As usual, I went for the 2 hour traditional Thai massage. I prefer 2 hour sessions as the steps won't be rushed. I like it slow and relaxed. The training and standards are there. Like any other Thai massage experience, it could be a bit of hit-or-miss, depending on the masseur. Overall satisfied with the experience every time. It's a matter of good, or superb.

Very big and busy place. First impressions were a bit loud and not very relaxing. Was team to the 7th floor which was calmer but didn’t feel the personal touch you get from smaller boutique spas. The 2 hour Thai massage was good though. Overall I’m not sure the cost is competitive relative to other spas in Bangkok.

A big chain message place. You can actually call it a massage complex. Prices are reasonable but it’s always super busy. Try to avoid coming at weekends as it’s going to be loud and hectic. If you really look for an exotic experience for couple, this isn’t really it. The settings and facilities were clean and standard. The therapist did very good job and she really has expertise in it. I had 2 hours of aromatherapy massage. It was relaxing and peaceful in the room but the therapist finished it 15 mins before the set time.
