This says a is AWESOME! We got it in October and use it pretty much every other day, in the morning. Very relaxing and slowly worked up to longer sessions ( now steady at 45 mins for me and 30 mins for my wife). I find that you can adjust the sauna’s temperature setting more precisely with the Centigrade adjustment since it increments in 1 degree segments in C and it only increments in 5 degree segments in F. I am comfortable now at 51/52 C while my wife likes it at 49C. We always have the light on infrared and the Bluetooth stereo is fantastic too with classical music playlists. Plugged right into an existing 120 v outlet in our sunporch and was good to go. It is a little tricky to unpack and assemble the unit (we got the Enrich 2) - you do need two rather strong men to get it all together up and running. There was one minor defect (a not working stereo speaker) but that was rectified with a replacement sent to us by their excellent customer service help line crew. The health benefits for us have been numerous and noticeable! Wish we knew about this product years ago! PS- We recently had a 2” thick cotton covered cushion made for seat for added comfort.

I have no complaints about my Health Mate sauna. I've had it for about six months now, and I'm enjoying it as much, if not more, than I anticipated. The sound system is amazing and adds to the relaxing atmosphere. It makes the time go by fast, especially for someone who struggles to sit still. The bench is fairly comfortable, although I do some adjusting throughout. A foot stool would be helpful to keep legs at a more comfortable angle. Overall, the sauna maintains temperature and is clearly well made. It was easy to assemble, although some intuition and trust is necessary! I had some questions for customer service, particularly about registering for warranty, and they got back to me quickly and were super friendly. My sales person was not quite as responsive, but that makes sense since they really only facilitate one part of the process. I feel that the sauna is helping my muscle and joint pain, and I feel that I am getting a good sweat and detox with 3-4 times per week sessions of about 25 minutes each. I look forward to using the sauna and I would recommend this company in particular to anyone who is looking!

I cannot stress this enough....do not purchase this company's sauna. There is zero support when (not IF...when) something goes wrong. There is no one to help. They will force you through all kinds of hoops to get something fixed and in the end, there is NO service network. Please hear me, we are not expecting anything for free. We would LOVE to pay someone knowledgable to come out and fix this fairly simple but ridiculously expensive piece of equipment...but service technicians do not exist. I am a functional medicine clinician/family practice provider and regularly recommend sauna to my patients. But I cannot, in good conscience recommend this company. Ultimately, after my experience with them I have to conclude that they are simply a company that exists to make money on the front end (and will pester you endlessly once you express interest in their products) and then wash their hands of you when you need help.

Purchasing the HealthMate Enrich Series sauna has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made—it’s truly life-changing. Assembly was a breeze with two people, and it’s been incredibly reliable; I’ve used it almost every day for the past three years without a single issue. Love our sauna. The design and style is of high quality and looks great. Easy to assemble. Sauna took 15 minutes to go from room temperature to 102 F and 15 more to go to 130. We have ours in our workout room, so starting the sauna and then doing cardio for 30-45 minutes prior, allows for a great end of workout routine.

So far so good but a few issues: 1) Top was warped a bit on delivery causing it not to seal tightly - Health Mate customer service was prompt in addressing but we need to put some wood screws in the top which we are not looking forward to as replacement tops are apparently not readily available. Our understanding is that this is a known issue with these saunas. 2) It takes a bit longer to warm up than we had hoped - maximum temperature is about 150 degrees not the 170 advertised and it takes it about an hour or a bit more to get there. Outside of the above, we have used it about 5 times since receiving it last week and it is performing as we had expected so far.

We remodeled our bathroom and made decision to replace the Jacuzzi tub with Health Mate Enrich 3 Sauna. Best decision we made! This is our third Health Mate Sauna. It looks like Healthmate is VERY unstable now that they terminated the company that's been helping me fix my sauna. I had great confidence talking to Kali and Mark. Now I'm extremely concerned owing this product. For future repairs. Before Kali I couldn't even get a replacement remote shipped to me. Sauna's break and if the company can't keep a good efficient customer service department they are doomed. Be very cautious with Healthmate. Truly, disappointed in their new owners? Or style of conducting business.

I purchased my Health Mate Sauna 3 years ago. Every year the controller breaks and I wait months for a replacement. The last time I called in for a replacement panel which is under its lifetime warranty, I was told I might wait up to eight months for a replacement panel. This was after many phone calls and many emails. My last email was more aggressive. I stated that they either get back to me immediately or I would escalate this into a court action. Only then did I get a call back and only then was I told I would wait eight months. It took me two months just to get a callback. I would not recommend purchasing anything from this company. Their customer service is terrible!

After moving my sauna from one house to another I couldn't get the front heaters to work. I finally connected with someone from the company and they sent me a video which helped me figure out what was wrong. I purchased the half sauna, and I really like it. It's really helped my back pain so far. I had some trouble with the display on my sauna after a power outage here in my neighborhood; however, I contacted my sales rep and he got things straightened out. I did try to contact customer service through the company and that didn't work out well at first; however, they respond quickly to their Yelpers, which says a lot for the company.

I give Health Mate Saunas 5 stars! I have used my sauna since 2008, and has helped me with weight loss, skin tone improvement, and detoxing from a previous Lyme disease. The sauna is excellent for assisting with pain from arthritis, degenerative disk disease, headaches, migraines. It is great to use in the wintertime before bed, the results are a full restful nights sleep! The quality of the HealthMate cedar sauna is outstanding. The additional light therapy package and awesome stereo/ CD make it your own private healing space. Since 2008, I have only had to replace a couple of parts. Customer service has handled all of my calls and requests promptly, and I would highly recommend any of the saunas made by Healthmate to anyone. My family owns 3 of them! This is something that you will have a LONG time, so it's a great investment, in your health and well being. This is one of the only medical grade recommended saunas by naturopaths and doctors . I recently left a message to see if Health Mate had any accessories that support Halotherapy because I had just heard about the treatment and its potential benefits. Corey called me back and had a wealth of information about the topic. Although Health Mate doesn't sell Halotherapy accessories to go with their Sauna's, Corey was well versed on the topic and provided me with some good advice. He provided some alternative approaches to address my root concern, which was allergies. He truly went above and beyond, even though I didn't purchase anything new, which is refreshing!! It's great when you have an Excellent product AND Excellent customer service is given even to customers from a one-time purchase that happened years ago. I bought a sauna from Dan, at the Home Show, here in Salt Lake City. His service was excellent, and his follow through was perfect. He told us the cover was out of stock, and they delivered it exactly when they said they would. It was only a couple week wait. Even after the sale, Dan was super in communicating delivery, as well as making sure we were super satisfied. The 4 person Sauna we got is amazing. The wood is soft, it heats extremely well, it feels super awesome, and it smells like real cedar. I have found that using the sauna before bed is super relaxing. A friend used it when he came over, and said "that he hadn't slept that well in years. We are super pleased that we got the sauna, and wanted to let everyone know that we are glad we decided to get the Sauna from HelathMate/PLH Products.

Made the mistake of buying a Health Mate "Aroma Stone" foot warmer. Totally worthless for warming anything but the bottom of your feet. Very overpriced at $300. and you might as well use a hot plate and put your feet on it-- same effect. Called the Company to advise product wasn't as described and requested authorization to return. Ha Ha! They said "too bad", can't return because the package was opened and used for a day. I'm trying to figure out how one can evaluate a product without opening it!! Beware of this joke of a product and a Company who doesn't stand behind their goods. I got screwed good this time!!!

Update: The management team reached out right after my post here on yelp, apologized for their mistake and refunded my $250 for the cover. Next week after my sauna fully set up, I will share my experience here. ================ I am VERY DISAPPOINTED about this company. I wanted to buy a sauna to use outdoor and Joe Cruz, their sale person told me their saunas can be outdoor as long as I put on cover and that they had covers for me with 50% off, come in green color. So I went ahead with the purchase of a sauna and a cover. When the sauna arrived, seeing it in person, especially how the roof was built. We figured that we would better have the sauna indoor or the roof will be blown off by the wind in addition to the hassle to zip and unzip the cover every time we use the sauna. Since the cover wasn't mailed out to us yet. I informed the sale person that I would like to cancel the cover order. Now problems came out. Joe now told me all the things that I had never made aware of: 1. It is their policy that order for covers can't be canceled. 2. They do not manufacture covers themselves. Health Mate orders covers from a 3rd party. 3. There are 28 different colors to pick out for the covers. Joe thought it was unfair for them to stuck with the cover. So, to a customer standpoint, these are my list of problems I have: 1. I wasn't aware of any of these until I needed to cancel an item from them. So is it fair for me now that I have to stuck with a $250.00 cover that I can't use? 2. Why didn't I get informed about these? 3. Is there anything else that I wasn't aware of that will come out in the future when I start to use their sauna? Quality issues? Will they really honor their guaranty or they would give me another surprise? 4. None of any good companies would put their customers in this kind of situation. 5. Am I one of very rare customers that they have? Otherwise why should they have to worry about being stuck with just ONE cover when they said they have thousands customers out there? Anyway, I am so regret to do business with this company. This is supposed to be a nice birthday present from my husband to me but now, it brings stress to us.

I initially reviewed Health Mate with a 1 star. I like my Sauna very well, but It was delivered with a damaged door and after being told they would replace the front panel in about 120 days, I never received the part, nor could I get the initial people whom I had contacted to reply back to my requests for a status update. This problem drug out for a prolonged period of time. I again sent out a request through Health Mate's support channel after my Yelp review and was contacted back by manager Cory. He apologized for the breakdown in communication and personally took charge of getting the part expedited to me. I received the new panel today, less than 2 weeks after interfacing with Cory. I am upgrading my review to 4 stars because of the dedication and diligence by Cory to make sure my concerns were addressed and the problem was resolved in a timely fashion. I do like my Sauna very much. I am impressed with the quality of the unit and the features it has. I am confident it will last for a long time. I am renewed in my confidence of this company due to the exceptional service provided by Cory.

We have had two HealthMate saunas. One lasted 11 years but we accidentally ruined it by putting it outside with Health Mate's "outdoor" vinyl cover on it -- after 11 years the cover ripped and allowed rain water to get in which caused a mildew issue and we had to throw the sauna away. Heartbroken, I called Health Mate and they gave us a small discount on a new one and we love the new one even more! I did a lot of research first on Clearlight and others, and still chose Health Mate. IN past years their customer service was sketchy and it was hard to reach people but now it is excellent. Highly recommend.

While my two-person sauna worked great for a while, I now need a new control panel, which I thought would be no problem since Health Mate claims a lifetime warranty on all parts. However, I have been calling their tech support department several times a week for the last 30 days. Nobody ever answers the tech support phone and nobody ever calls back when I leave my phone number. Update: Within hours after I posted this and other negative reviews, the top management team at HealthMate called me, apologized, and offered to send me the parts required to fix my sauna. The parts arrived speedily and fixed the problem. I don't know if the suddenly speedy response was a coincidence or if it was driven by the negative reviews. I'm changing my review from one star to two since my problem was finally solved, but not in a timely fashion.

UPDATE I rang the company again and got the automated phone system which directs one to complete the online technical service request form. Unfortunately it's no use for anyone outside the USA, so I emailed the support team without much expectation of a response, but can say I was surprised with a fairly fast response and subsequent conversation back and forth to describe the exact nature of the problem and parts I might need. Resolution still pending, but am upgrading the rating based on the current service interest. I have also had the same problem as others. Sauna is approx 9 years old, has started beeping on and off during use in the last year to the point I can't use it at all now. I've rechecked all plugs, its on a power surge, there appears to be no agent in New Zealand, no-one has ever replied to emails to the company over the last 6-12 months to try and find a contact to resolve the problem. I'm going to try and ring Corey now from a number found further down the page in response to someone else's problem, but as of right now, I wouldn't recommend buying one of these saunas either from the service point of view. I live nowhere near the Health Mate office in California but I am a very happy customer in Tennessee. I just want to say that their customer service is the best I've ever seen... I had an issue with my sauna, which is more than 13 years old, and they were able to help me diagnose the problem right away. Their customer service was prompt, pleasant, and took great care of me. I fully expect to get another 13 years of flawless use from my health mate sauna!! If it were possible, I would rate them high above five stars!!!

Purchased the 3 person sauna over a month ago. Shipping people were rude and ignored the message that we would be out of town during a specific period of time. It takes almost an hour to heat up to 130 degrees. NOT the 10-15 mins. told by the rep. (we have it located in our bathroom) Still haven't received the aromatherapy cup due to "backorder". I think the backorder is indefinite. The "back rests" were not the same as the one shown during the time of purchase. The ones received look like mini ramps to roll something up to a 3" height. They weren't made for "leaning" on. No one returns inquiry emails. I gave it three stars because when it is warmed up, it does feel good. It is nice that it is vent-less also. It would be nice to have the aromatherapy cup though, as that was a big part of the purchase decision. It would also be nice to have the correct back rest also.

We have been wanting a sauna for a long time. I had even contemplated getting an expensive gym membership just for its sauna use. I was sold the moment I walked into Health Mate's booth at the OC Fair. Danny, who happens to be the technician, was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. He showed us all the saunas on display and explained how they worked. We decided to go for the single cedar sauna. It was delivered and assembled within a few days and we couldn't be happier. It doesn't take up much space and it is aesthetically pleasing. (The single person sauna can fit two slender people comfortably)

Excellent!!! Bought this sauna in 2015 after blood work showed high inflammation. They recommended infrared sauna and of course exercise and diet. We researched the benefits with infrared. Once convinced we started our search for the best unit to fit our needs. Cedar became a #1 want. We researched the different brands and options. From there we read reviews. We choose Healthmate and couldn't be happier. Sauna arrived in perfect condition and placing the unit and snapping together was a breeze with 2 of us. LOVE our sauna! Inflammation went down to normal also with exercise and a change in diet. The Bluetooth option is a must. So glad our journey brought us to healthmate!

GREAT customer service! I was so happy dealing with Logan Ross, and his staff of well trained, courteous employees! I went in to look at Saunas, and ended up purchasing that same day. I got a really awesome tour of the facility, saw how they were made, and had my sauna delivered the next day! It didn't show up in a box, it showed up with THREE employees who built it on the spot within about an hour! I love my new Health Mate sauna and don't even notice it on my electricity bill being the fact it's infrared heat! I purchased my Health Mate sauna in April 2006. The sauna works great when it actually works. However, the Health Mate customer service deserves an F-, and if there was a rating lower than late, I'd give them one. I have a part that needs replacing, which falls under my Lifetime Warranty, and they are refusing to honor it. I haven't been able to use my sauna in almost a month, and apparently the part I need no longer exists. This company and their so-called warranty is nothing but a scam. Stay away -- far, far away.

As a sauna, I can't say too much about it as we have only used it maybe 50 times in the last 9 years. I can say however it does make a great free standing closet! I was able to install a nice wood clothes hanger rod and we use the bench in it to put shoes on. The space under the bench is used for hiding valuables and Christmas or birthday presents. The cedar cabinet keeps everything smelling fresh and the LED light is a nice touch and not many people can say they have a stereo installed in the closet. The original stereo never really worked so I installed a Rockford in it's place. Excellent sound while picking out clothes for the day.

Such a horrible experience with this company. From the beginning we have had nothing but problems with their product. We have owned our sauna for 5 years and the control panel has never worked properly. Good luck getting anyone to return your phone call or help. They actually told us it was an electrical issue on our end. Fine. We hired an electrician. Everything has checked out good on our end. Healthmate has now had our control panel for over 3 months and we've heard all the excuses:' oh I had a toothache so I couldn't call you back..' Really? 3 months and nothing has been done. They have promised to call us back and then never call. DO NOT dump money into this business. It's a headache waiting to happen.

I bought my health mate sauna and sauna cover in 2001 and my c/d and radio hasn't worked for years now. They company definitely does not honor the lifetime guarantee that they boast of as they wanted to charge me $50 to send a new one. I recently reordered a new sauna cover and told them the make and model of my sauna. When I received the cover it was too long and larger then my original one. I called the company and they told me that I gave them the wrong measurements and that if I want to sent it back I would have to pay shipping both ways. They also added I would receive a bill for the alterations!!! What kind of company does that??? Charging the consumer for their mistake.... It's just WRONG! I agree with Gary! I'm very disappointed.

Company won't call you back ignores your calls. We spent so much money on a sauna 4 years ago and like many complaints on here the panel broke and it's beeping all the time. And now we can't work the sauna correctly. Who cares about some lifetime warranty if you can't get ahold of anyone at the company. I've contacted them three times. Two voice mails (no one has ever answered the phone full automation) and one online inquiry. What a joke.

Had a great customer service experience with Kali. Ordered new control pad and power supply when my ten year old sauna started acting up. She was patient and courteous and walked me through the process with patience and humor.

Have not received sauna yet, called customer service with questions for delivery and since no one returned call after several messages I went to the option "for purchase". The man that answered the phone clamed to be a sales manager. I stated that I need to talk to someone who ether can solve the problem with scheduling or issue the return. While I was trying to explain the issue he kept interrupting me with "Hello...hello... are you there? can you hear me?..hello?' And no, there are were no problem with connection. I got to hear that 4 times within couple minutes conversation until I told him "thank you for sharing the technic for shutting people down" then he stopped. Finally, he have told me that someone from delivery department will call me back. Thankfully, the Lady that called me shortly was significantly more professional and pleasant to talk to. Needless to say, the message she has received from the first rep was absolutely incorrect and I had to go over the details again. Lets see how that is going to be taken care of. Update: have spoken to original sales person we purchased it from and he took care of it right away. We were enjoying our sauna for few weeks now. Its great! I'd recommend to talk to Jordan if you decide to purchase the sauna and deal with him directly. He will save you time and will make things happen the way they suppose to!

This place has terrible customer service. This is the 2nd time in 2 years our sauna has needed service (the control panel doesn't work). I was concerned b/c we such a poor experience the last time. No surprise this time either. I called almost 6 weeks ago and haven't heard a word from them. I called again, emailed and reach out via social media-- nothing. I am shocked they can stay in business with all of the poor reviews on their lack of customer service.

Honest and fast repair work. Excellent saunas. Ours is 10 years old and after much use there was an issue with the control board. We sent it to Health Mate and Mark quickly had the technicians deduce that there was a problem with the circuit board. He called me on a Sunday to inform me that the board would quickly be fixed and sent out on Monday. He explained that a new board would cost $550 but that the repair was only going to be $150. He could have easily charged me for the entire new board but he was honest. Jeff & Ginger

We bought a Health Mate sauna several years ago for our vacation home and loved it for the first three or four years. However, somewhere along the way (and after only about 50 uses) the control panel began acting up. It would light up and then flicker and die, or worse, it would come on without anyone touching it. The only indication we had was a beeping sound heard from the other room. Needless to say, that's unsafe and unacceptable. When we bought the Health Mate all the advertising and brochures said "Lifetime Warranty". Still have the brochure from when we bought it. When I contacted Health Mate they said the "lifetime warranty" wasn't actually good for life. But... they would give me a discounted price on a new control panel. Still nearly $1,000. No thanks. I'll try to take the control panel apart and see if I can figure out what's wrong. If I can't, I'll disassemble the sauna and junk it. While the Health Mate was working, it was great, but now it's taking up floor space in the room and it's being used for storage, making it a damned expensive closet.

We have had our 2 person sauna for less then 2 years. We Love the unit. The back wall is quite warped. We have called the company 5 times and sent pictures 3 times like they asked for and we are still waiting to hear back from them. So, I agree with others. The customer service is not the greatest!

Purchased my sauna from HiTech Health in 2006. They gave me the number for Health Mate for replacement parts. I have given Health Mate my phone number, filled out a tech support form several times, called them and tried the chat line. Not one response. Wish there was another company that I could get my parts from. Sorry I couldn't give a zero star rating.

I research Infrared Sauna's for some time, (years) read a lot about the doctors and science reports, tried them out in holistic massage places before choosing Healthmate, they are by far the best sauna makers out there. I purchased the Enrich 2 so when my husband join's me he can do so comfortably. I am a person that is very health cautious and has always worked out. Sometimes have body aches, back and neck aches. I have used my Sauna now every other day for two months and whoa! what a difference! I feel great, no aching, I relax, listen to music or meditate. I prefer the red light mostly for cellular repair, and the purple light for mental. My skin looks better, I sleep better and my overall health has improved. I truly believe the sauna is the best investment I could have made for myself. Healthmate has great service and stayed in contact with me during the purchase, shipping and check in with me after I received it to make sure I was completely happy. They stand behind their sauna's and really care about their customers. If you really care about your over all health and well being you should own a Healthmate sauna, best made out there. So far so good! I bought this used online and brought it back to my house to find an error code and thought I would reach out to the manufacturer and I got a hold of Danny Salas and he walked me though step by step what I needed to do to get it up and running and sent me a new thermostat reader and the error code immediately went away! Thank you Danny and thank you Health Mate Sauna for the experience and care! I will turn it on tonight during the Dodgers NLCS game and get it heated up for the Dodgers win!

I am changing my rating on my Health Mate Sauna from 1 start to 3. They did respond to my original Yelp review 2/03/17 and offered to send the replacement parts we needed at no charge. I had a lifetime warranty and originally they wanted $634 for the replacement parts. I received the new control and power supply yesterday and installed them today. After 3.5 months the sauna is now working fine. We have owned the sauna for 6 years now and the whole family enjoys it including our cat. The woodworking on the cabinet is beautiful. It's too bad there customer service isn't very responsive but that seems to be improving.

So upset about my sauna! I bought the sauna and it stopped working. It's been ongoing for 2 years that they have been giving excuses of not having parts in etc. !!! This is not right. Its supposed to be a lifetime warranty but you will probably be waiting a lifetime to get any service! has anyone had any luck on this ? I'm moving and want to get rid of this thing once and for all but I want to get it fixed at least! It was over 4000$ and it was probably used under 20 times. It didn't bother me so much waiting the 2 years since I don't use it but now we are moving and have to deal with it

I have had my 48" wide sauna for a couple of years now, use it 4 or 5 times a week, and I love everything about it. I got it because I am chemically sensitive and with both the heat, the far-Infrared and full multi-color LED lighting it is a wonderful way to detox and feel fabulous after its use! I also love: The attractive design. My friends are always impressed when the see it. Clean cedar smell from "certified green" Canadian cedar. Our 2 person Health Mate sauna was delivered about 2 weeks ago. The company rep for California Kevin was very professional. We did our research and concluded Health Mate had the best reputation and quality. My wife and I have used it everyday for two weeks and we are delighted with the performance and results. We both sleep like never before. The sound system is a nice feature. The sauna heats up within 15 minutes to 130F and the cedar wood smells great. I have cerebral palsy and use a power wheelchair for mobility. I had numerous conversations with the salesman I worked with and was very clear about my physical circumstances. I need a grab bar for support when I transfer, and this salesman told me in no uncertain terms in an email that putting a grab bar in the sauna I purchased would be no problem. He was wrong. The handyman that I have worked with for several years told me when he saw the sauna that the wood was not stable enough to support a grab bar, or my weight when I used it for support. When the same salesman picked up the sauna, he put in writing that a refund check would be issued to me no later than December 2nd. A few days after December 2nd, I reached out to the salesman and asked if he could reach out to the finance company on my behalf because he had promised the date I would be issued a refund check. His email response was "Sorry to say your expectations will not be met as it is not in my control how fast synchrony issues a refund check, so I do hope you can make your financial plans accordingly."

I just experienced the worse customer service from Health Mate. I purchased a 3 person sauna from them mid 2011. I used the sauna at the beginning then stop following the birth of 2 kids. Now that they are older I want to use it again and noticed the display on the control is not working and infared led panel is not working. I contacted the company via email follow by a strand of emails back and forth to diagnose the problem. I told them since the control still works I can live with not seeing the number display on one side. I just need a new led panel. I was told I need to pay for the led panel because even though it is "lifetime warranty " it is the lifetime of the led which has expired. This is truly a case of false advertisement. One reason I went with Health Mate is because of their lifetime warranty claim. I could of bought a comparable product for half the price . Furthermore, after I threatened to leave reviews of my experience they then said the new panel will not be compatible with by sauna. My brother is an electrician and he said this is just an excuse for me to go away. Hmm..if you consider buying a sauna, find a company that operates with ethics.
