One star for the location ā just a 10-minute walk to the Duomo.
Thatās the only positive thing I can say. When we arrived, we were greeted by a cheerful man who took us to the apartment on the first floor. I had booked just a day before at a non-refundable rate and didnāt realize it was on the first floor.
When I expressed my concern and asked if they had any availability on higher floors ā even offering to pay extra ā he just laughed, said, āThis is what you booked,ā threw the keys on the table, and left.
I truly miss the days when hospitality meant actual hospitality ā service, courtesy, and an effort to earn guest loyalty.
We couldnāt sleep at all. Milan is a vibrant, loud city, and the apartment offered zero soundproofing. We could hear street noise and people talking day and night ā even casual conversations of people walking by.
By the last day, I had developed a fever and nausea, which quickly resolved once I returned to my home country. I strongly believe it was due to physical stress and total lack of rest.
At a rate of ā¬1500+ per night, do yourself a favor and book a proper hotel room where you can actually sleep and enjoy this beautiful city the way itās meant to be experienced.
