There are some things in life that you simply have to experience at least once, and this is definitely one of them. No picture or video online can truly capture the stunning beauty of flying over the reef. It’s absolutely worth it—a breathtaking experience that you’ll carry with you forever.

Visiting the Heart Reef was a sobering experience. I was aware that the reef was struggling, but I didn't fully grasp the extent of the damage until I saw it for myself. Unfortunately, much of the reef is dead(97% to be more precise), and the sight is reminiscent of walking through a forest after a devastating bushfire. It's a stark reminder of the impact we're having on the environment. While it's heartbreaking, it's also a powerful call to action.

Awesome reef in the shape of a heart. Only accessible by helicopter from Hamilton Island. The reef won’t always be this shape so visit while you can!
