Hearth Cafe and Restaurant

Hearth is my go to place whenever I come to Hobart. Great food and best service. Today I ordered eggs benny with Bacon and breakfast burger, fresh OJ and coffee. Everything was fantastic. And to add to that, the music and hospitality was incredible. Happiest customer as always. 🙏

stop here for quick brunch before continue out tassie trip, the hospitality was nice and the place is big with plenty seat. we had pumpkin soup, pancake and chai latte all the food was perfect and delicious we would love to come back here for try their other menu before we leave tasmania

Funky little place for breakfast. Great chilled music playing, lovely guy working there. A brekkie burger and granola for the two of us, burger had awesome pork sausage, two eggs bacon hash brown - awesome. Finished with two coffees. Great! Sat in the sun and watched the passing parade😎

10/10 – An amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor, all at a very reasonable price. The homemade chili sauce is a standout – you have to try it. Service was outstanding and made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend stopping by!

Amazing place! Make sure you visit. Ordered salt & pepper calamari- it was the best we have had in Tasmania. Also ordered vegan pizza with gf base. Base was perfect, crispy and not too thick, made from scratch. Vegetables were fresh and not too much vegan cheese. Service with a smile, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful atmosphere and seating.

In the heart of battery point, lies this cafe. If you go at hearth, don't miss out their pizza, you'll remember it's taste for ages. Beautiful atmosphere, if you love music, you can play the instruments too. Great staff, perfect for private events too.

My daughter, friend and I had lunch in your lovely little cafe today. The food was delicious, as was the home made chilli sauce ☺️ But the best part of our visit was the service we received from the lovely waitress. She was very professional, courteous and friendly. Such a beautiful young lady. Thank you 🤩

I will give it 5 star for its amazing music, vibe and services, pretty great for couples and family, though I enjoyed the dinner alone. Not sure about other food on the menu, so far the pizza and soup are recommended, note that the pizza is gluten-free. The scallop is a bit pricy but taste is good. And Small Plates look wonderful based on the feedback from other tables.

Unfortunately the only positive I can pull from this experience was the service. Atmosphere: The entire restaurant was uncomfortably cold, which may have set the tone for not enjoying anything else. Food: husband had lamb pizza- it too was not very warm. The pizza dough was equivalent to what I make at home with the bread maker, which I will admit, is not a great pizza dough, very bready, no air pockets, dense and sweet. Then he was sick a little while after getting back to the hotel I had the pumpkin gnocchi which was neither here nor there, very food court/ pedestrian like. Drink: we had drinks at 'preachers' across the rd and therefore didn't sink here, just tap water.. yep was ok! Preachers was great by the way, out door heated dining, mulled wine good vibe. I advise spending your good money elsewhere.
