Heartland Hotel Haast

Husband & I had a lovely stay at Heritage Haast Hotel. Room clean with all amenities. Breakfast buffet great value for money. Staff friendly, honest & accommodating. I had left a pair of shoes behind 6 days later notice they were missing I contacted Heritage Haast Hotel reception desk they were sitting in the office waiting to be claimed. Thank you very much team.

I enjoyed my one-night stay here. During May I was able to book this a few days earlier once I arrived in NZ. Check-in and check-out was nice and easy. The room had everything that I needed and more: towels (including a face towel), a kettle plus a variety of tea bags power points and warm blankets. Parking was the easiest of all the places I stayed in NZ (right behind the room). The restaurant and bar was good too (and right next to the reception). The only reason for taking a star off the room was the bathroom door not shutting (my toiletries worked as a doorstop though). Thanks!

Brilliant dog friendly accommodation. They go all out even providing bowls a bed and treats which is lovely. We found it very relaxing.|Staff are friendly and helpful.| The bed was comfortable and shower excellent. |Breakfast was great but the restaurant was full at dinner with a long service delay which they told us about and apologized for, can't ask for more than that. We'll prebook a table next time. It's clearly very popular.|We're looking forward to staying again.

Quiet and scenic location. Rooms are a little tired and dated, paint peeling off the ceiling, rips in the curtains, and laminate cracking off the desks/cabinets. Bed was comfy and clean - friendly staff and cozy restaurant/pub with fireplace which was nice.

Nice receptionist, very friendly. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable. |Room was warm and cosy.|Shower was a bit of a challenge for seniors, although a non slip mat was supplied and a grab bar just outside the shower, still felt it was challenging. |On site restaurant very nice, friendly and good food.

We stayed here on two consecutive Saturdays and were very comfortable.|Admittedly the second stay was the more pleasant, facing the setting afternoon sun and with more room in the unit. The Dinners were great value .. service, delivery and actual eating were a delight. The log fire burning with folk around gave a very pleasant ambience. I would recommend the hotel as a must for those driving South or further North.

We stayed here on our tour around New Zealand. The room was neat and tidy. The sleep quality is good. Beds fitted with electric blankets. Staff friendly and helpful. Note located out of town. Hasa restaurant on site. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic staff in one of the nicest places on earth. And the dinner and breakfast were great, except my wife complained that the breakfast sausages were a bit on the turn. I suppose that is to be expected with our typical late rising and therefore the sausages were probably being kept at warm for a number of hours. For me, the bacon and eggs were perfect. Loved every minute of our stay.
