The hotel is fantastic in everything. It's not the cheapest option for budget tourists, but it deserves my high recommendation. The location is a very good. The lobby and staff are excellent, they even brought our luggage straight to our room which was sent from Tokyo by Kuroneko. The room is spacious enough for two people, so we didn't feel cramped. There's a special smoking room on the second floor, it was a huge plus for us. There are two types of breakfast: European and Japanese. We tried the traditional one, and it was delicious and not expensive. Every other floor has a vending machine selling drinks, beer, and ice cream, also a microwave and a laundry area. The only downside is that the dryers don't work well; clothes are still wet even after two drying cycles. Meanwhile, other guests want to dry their clothes too and you need to fight with them hahaha

Great hotel in Kyoto with a very convenient location, just a short walk from the train station. It was within walking distance of Gion Street, other famous sightsand the main city streets, making it easy to explore Kyoto on foot. The rooms were excellent and the amenities were very good, making the stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Very friendly staff on arrival and throughout our stay, hotel is close to everything you need. The air conditioning control was hard to work out, it wouldn’t allow you to adjust any settings except the temperature and only went up and down but not in temperature numbers. Pillows need to be more comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Clean, spacious, and you can partially open the window. The only downside was the draft coming from the ventilation, which made it chilly, but if you turn the air conditioning on, it's fine. The breakfasts are excellent. The area is great—easy access to the main attractions, with plenty of shops and cafes within a 15-20-minute walk, but it's quiet.

7-11 just 4 min walk, Metro station - just 6-7 min walk, at walking distance to Nijo castle, Best Indian restaurant Shubh Bihani within 5-6 min walk. Cleanliness, Hospitality staff behavior, everything beyond expectations. Breakfast spread is good but may be same all day as we stayed for 3 nights. But taste was Good. really VFM in Kyoto.

The Hotel has a nice lobby and close to karasuma station. I love my room as it has all the amenities that i need. It is also very neat and tidy and everything was approximately and within reach to all the nice places in Kyoto. I will definitely stay here again in my future trips to Japan, highly recommended.

Stayed here for 4 nights! Hotel was clean, standard size for Japan room and in a quiet neighbourhood! Check-in was easy, staff are so nice. Great bonus that they accept luggage forwarding (sent ours from Tokyo) and helped us with luggage forwarding (to Osaka). Great location, walking distance to trains and bus stops! Had extra amenities in the main lobby.

I loved to stay here the autumn 2024, so our next anniversary trip we book this hotel! Rooms are a bit small but cosy and very clean, also the stuff was extremely helpful. I liked a lot that there are additional free samples cause I need more shampoo for my hair)) and the best option is two kinds of breakfast, and the Japanese breakfast was extremely good, the real vibe and taste!

Yelp
My friends and I booked the Hearton Hotel in Kyoto for the Gion Matsuri Festival, and it was a great choice. The hotel was a block away from where the parade starts, so we had a great view after rolling out of bed a few minutes earlier. The hotel is a bit out of the way but nearby a subway stop and a convenience store, as all hotels in Japan are. We enjoyed the quick walk to the Imperial Palace, and the rest of the city is easily accessible via foot. The beds were pretty firm, but we slept well regardless. Front desk staff was nice and accomodating, and there was cold green tea at the lobby most times. No free coffee, but they provided an electric kettle in the room. My friend utilized the self service laundry, which was 200 yen for the wash and 100 yen for the dry, though his clothes came out wet so I'd say you'd have to do it twice. He also paid 30 yen at reception for detergent, which was a much better deal than what he found at the convience store. We got a great price on the hotel, and I'd be happy to stay there again. Though I wouldn't mind a litte bit closer to the center as the 15 minute walk got a bit old in the 90+ degree heat!

Yelp
Clean. No microwave but fridge provided. Small bathtub and toilet. Bathroom amenities are good Air conditioning wasn't good couldn't sleep both nights. Not close to Jr rail. Had to walk to nijo starion wguch is on Jr line to get to the bamboo forest and to the inari taisha shrine. Its 35 minutes walk to gion.
