Heatherfield House

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was our third Bed and Breakfast on this trip, and was easily the best. The location was great, and the host was wonderful. Breakfast was really good and the room was outstanding. Our only disappointment was that we were only here for one night. It would have been nice to have another day in Oban, and this was a great place to stay.

Historic inn on the hill in Oban, with a friendly staff. Large, good breakfast in a comfortable area. Room a decent size with a large modern bathroom and plenty of hot water. It's a good location in the upper part of the town, as that means it's quieter and away from car traffic. We could see there was a nice garden for good weather.

Heatherfield House, B&B in Oban is a manor house situated within walking distance of Oban’s main village amenities. Joan, propriator, was friendly, helpful and a collector of Scottish arts. Intersting paintings, ornaments and sculptures are discretely hung in each room. Birds appear in feeders sited outside the breakfast room. A lovely, welcoming stay.

Heatherfield House was the perfect choice for spending a night in Oban. We were able to check in a little early which was great as we were able to park and head down the hill to enjoy walking the streets of Oban. Oban is a cool town with plenty of shopping and restaurants, as well as an excellent distillery, and Heatherfield House was the ideal location for getting to walk and experience it all. The breakfast staff and food was top notch as well.

Booked 2 nights here, stayed for 1 night only, upon arrival we were very abruptly told of the breakfast deal, given our key, and asked for payment. There was no welcome or any other info given.We immediately felt like we were intuders rather than paying guests .The room we were given was in no way like the pictures on T A, and the bath was held together with gorilla tape, as previously mentioned in 2 other reviews on here dated September 2023, and march 2024, surely enough time to repair this has gone by. Also where are the crisp white table clothes and fresh flowers on the dining room tables, as pictured, must have missed that! We were so disappointed with this accommodation, we left ,but not before being harassed by the staff member, there are very mixed reviews on this property, just wished I had researched it more. |

Good location above the town in a quiet street with plenty on-site parking. Good views. Very welcoming host. Our room was large with comfortable sofa, TV, plenty storage and nice bed. Bathroom and shower were ok. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Plenty local restaurants down the hill in the town - fish & chips recommended.

Highly recommend staying here! Charming old B&B within easy walking to downtown Oban. There was ample parking available. We stayed in Room 2 on the upper floor. Super clean, comfy bed, nice decor, and a lovely view of town and a little corner of the harbor. There was a lovely clawfoot soaking tub. We only stayed one night which was great, but this could be an issue if you stay multiple nights as it’s a pain to scrub your hair. But for short stays and bath lovers it’s fantastic! I enjoyed a nice unwinding soak & cup of herbal tea after a long day of travel! Friendly service & there was a nice cooked breakfast selection in the AM with several options!

Beautiful B&B. My sister and I enjoyed our large easily accessible room in this gorgeous hillside home. Fantastic breakfast: full Scottish if you're really hungry, and many other options if you prefer something lighter. Very walkable to town and the ferries. Highly recommend!
