Absolutely charming! The Inn is an historic home in Oban, with a beautiful garden and fascinating history. Owen welcomed us, even carried our bags upstairs. (A great relief on my recently repaired foot!) The room was cozy, but adequate. The bathroom was down the hall a few steps, but still private. Just a tub, no shower, but it had a hand shower. Owen’s mother, June, serves breakfast. You pick among a few good options. There are also some standard items out each day: fresh and lively cheeses, smoked salmon (lox), toast, dry cereal, milk, juice, and fruit. We chose the porridge each morning. It was wonderful! We also got croissants and tea. All top-notch and June is lovely and accommodating. The only negative is that the house sits up a very steep drive. If you have trouble walking uphill or walking on loose gravel, be sure and grab a taxi at the terminal or station! Only about 4£-5£…and worth it!

This is one of the best B & Bs I have been to. It overlooks Oban so is removed from the noise of traffic etc. It has ample parking space which is a bonus. The owner, June, made me feel very welcome on arrival and was informative about Oban. I had one the best rooms I have ever been in. It was huge and had two lovely windows. The bed was very comfortable. The wet room had a large shower area. The breakfast did not offer the traditional English cooked plateful of bacon etc. This is Scotland so smoked salmon was on offer. Several types of cheese were also in the mix. I had a lovely yoghurt with homemade compote. A boiled egg was also part of the meal. Cereals were there as was fruit. More than enough to set me up for the day. I would definitely return here when next in Oban.

June is an attentive host but if you’re someone who likes to be left alone, this is somewhere that you can get peace and quiet and just relax into a different pace of life. The room was comfortable and spacious and we were supplied with robes, lovely scented toiletries and tea & coffee options that made us feel at home. Parking is open and accessible at the venue. Really enjoyed June’s homemade compote at breakfast (plenty to choose from for a continental breakfast; rhubarb and berry compote) which was flavoursome and tart, just how it should be! Perfect with yoghurt - loved it.|The location is great, a few minutes stroll down the hill and you’re in the main thoroughfare of Oban, popping out near Nories (definitely go here for fish & chips; fantastic) and literally a few steps from Highland Glass - Gail and Colin are lovely people and webloved talking with them about their artwork and took a couple of thing’s away with us. ||If you go in the opposite direction, you’ll be at McCaig’s Tower (you’re also staying in his house!!) in roughly 10-15 minutes stroll (up the hill) where the views across Oban and beyond are absolutely spectacular. We also really enjoyed listening to the high school pipe band who happened to be playing one evening down by the quayside when we were walking off a delightful meal in the Waterfront Fishouse Restaurant (a must visit). Really looking forward to planning a return visit to Oban and would happily stay again at Heatherfield House.

The Heatherfield house, a family run bed-and-breakfast was a lovely place to stay while visiting Oban.. The rooms were large and adequate. The bed was a little hard. They included breakfast in the morning allows you to select what you would like to eat and the owner of the bed-and-breakfast did a lovely job preparing food for all her guests. Checking in and checking out is super easy and I love to give suggestions of what one can do while visiting Oban.

June has a lovely house that seems tucked away from it all but is conveniently located near so many things: the Oban Distillery, good restaurants, the water. It’s just 2-3 minutes walking time to all. ||Our room was nice, but our bathroom had no proper shower—just a tub with a handheld. ||Breakfast was really good! The parking area was a little crowded but thankfully we had rented a tiny car.

We stayed just one night on our way to Mull. Friendly welcome, lovely property full of original features, well appointed room which felt cared for with lots of nice touches. We had a very nice breakfast too. Good value for money, would come again.

Good location above the town in a quiet street with plenty on-site parking. Good views. Very welcoming host. Our room was large with comfortable sofa, TV, plenty storage and nice bed. Bathroom and shower were ok. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. Plenty local restaurants down the hill in the town - fish & chips recommended.
