Heathmount Hotel

Wonderful place to stay in Inverness. Every staff member we had any interaction with was both friendly and helpful. From reception to bar staff to wait staff to housekeeping they were universally wonderful.||Our room, Number 3, was very generous and had both a tub and a walk-in shower. The towels were generously sized and very plush. Both the bed and pillows were very comfortable as well.||We had both breakfast and dinner there every day of our stay and all meals were very good. Our second morning there we were leaving early for a birding trip and they were kind enough to wrap up some croissants to take with us, which was greatly appreciated.||One very good sign for the bar and restaurant is the large number of locals frequenting both.||We cannot recommend The Heathmount highly enough, and as I'm considering a trip back to Inverness sometime in the winter to do some more birding, I will definitely stay with and eat at The Heathmount.

We stayed at this lovely small hotel during our holiday in Scotland. Great location near other shops and businesses. We ate supper at the restaurant and it was outstanding. Nice secure parking area if you are driving a car. Was fun hanging out in the bar areas talking with the many locals who frequent this place. If we return to Inverness, the Heathmount Hotel is where we will stay. Service at the hotel, bar and restaurant was all outstanding!!

We stayed in this hotel to take part in the Loch Ness marathon, we selected it because it was a short walk to the centre of Inverness and about a gentle 25 minute walk from the event centre.|From our arrival until we left we found that the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. On the morning of the race the chef had left my breakfast outside the door at 5am, so I could eat and drink early. It was such a great gesture and so helpful.|The room we stayed in looked over the front of the hotel and considering it was near the road and above the bar, it was incredibly quiet. The room was dark, due to the heavy curtains, but it was cosy and well appointed with a walk in shower. We had a comfortable few nights rest.|The hotel has parking for guests and easy access to the city, so we parked the car in the car park for 3 days and enjoyed the sights. The city itself has a wide variety of restaurants, which are excellent, so we didn’t get a chance to check out the food in hotel, except for breakfast. The breakfast itself was lovely with a great set of options, which was served by the wonderfully friendly and pregnant manager. She was the epitome of Scottish hospitality and we wish her well in her new journey in October.|I would highly recommend this hotel.

Nice enough bar. Split into two sections with the front being a better option than the rear. Reasonably close to the centre of the city. Can be a it pricey for some drinks. Would consider going here again. Not tried the food but it does have a reputation for providing good food.

Excellent hotel option in Inverness. The hotel was easy to get to, nearby to Culloden and other site seeing options, as well as includes parking. The hotel seems recently updated as the rooms were very modern in retrospect to the exterior of the building. The rooms were very clean. ||We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both meals were excellent and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. During this time of year we did not require reservations to the restaurant. ||Depending on your length of stay, the hotel does not have an elevator so you will need to carry your luggage up a couple flights of stairs. Not an issue, just be aware depending on your ability. They do offer single night bookings which was a plus for our travelling party on the move. ||Would definitely stay here again! Absolutely loved out stay at Heathmount!

Went to the restaurant on Saturday night for a meal to celebrate my parents’ golden wedding anniversary. It was their suggestion as I don’t live locally any more, but they said they always have a good meal there. They weren’t wrong. Food was great, and so was the service, which really topped things off. Definitely recommend and thank you to the staff for making what was a low key celebration feel special, without even knowing about it!

I was in yesterday and it was really busy, more so than i expected for late afternoon early evening. Staff did a great job, girl with dark hair handled the hoards well. I had to join the queue for bar food when it arrived it was worth the wait. Nice vibe in here i’ll be back.

We visited the restaurant on the last night of a two week tour of the highlands that included some top end (£100+/person) meals. The four meals we had at the Heathmount were the best we experienced. Price of the wine just needs reviewing as £12/250ml is poor vfm.

Highly recommend the Heathmount to stay at if you're in Inverness. Just a short walk to town but nice for those that don't want to be in the city proper. There is some parking out in front, which is very convenient. It's a bit of a small lot, but with some space to maneuver. Stayed here one night and got breakfast the following morning. Service: Great. No complaints here. They aren't staffed at night (which they do let you know), so make sure you have your key with you. Room: Very nice! Don't know what I was expecting, but it far exceeded what I thought I was going to get. Clean, decorated well, and every amenity I could want/need for a one night stay. Food: Paid for breakfast in the morning. There is a preset menu but you can pick from a selection of things. The full Scottish was a bit too salty for my personal preference but otherwise tasty. Very solid drip coffee.

I absolutely loved my experience here! The hotel was beautifully renovated and I loved the shower. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and breakfast was calm and enjoyable. You will not regret your stay here!

The rooms are very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is amazing. We utilized their laundry service as we were living out of backpacks and they cleaned and folded a large bag of clothes for only £10. The dinner was ok. My burger was overcooked but my wife liked her vegetarian meal quite a lot. I would recommend this hotel without question

The Heathmount Hotel and Restaurant stands around other restaurants for two simple reasons. The location is prime and there are many signs around the facility that is red with the word 'illy' on it. This can only mean one thing you have to stop at this restaurant just because it provides the best coffee in the world. The illy coffee brought me in but the Steak Pie will make sure I don't for the Heathmount. I've tried many meat and steak pies in the UK and this Steak Pie was literally a cut way above the rest. It's was obvious that the Pie was made from scratch and the tender scottish beef used was fresh as it was tender and melted right in your mouth. It's a good size dish and the puff pastry that covered this succulent steak with sauce was flaky and cooked just right. The service was very good and where else can you go in the highlands that will serve the best coffee and steak pie in the world.

This is a bar and restaurant with rooms above it. I have stayed in quite a few across Ireland and the U.K. This is far and away the absolute best. The shower A++ good pressure and temperature for a nice shower after a long day of traveling. The bar and restaurant has amazing food. I mean amazing food. I menu is great and the food is better than a Marriot. They even have a loyalty scheme where the more you spend in the bar and restaurant the more money they take off your bills. This establishment needs 10 stars. Also the location is great it was only a 5 minute walk to the city center and some great bars. The walk back uphill after a few drinks could be tough but the reward is the hotel bar is still open. I would highly recommend this place and stay again.

A good local restaurant with great food and amazing service would recommend to anyone and great value
