"Hit up this stall for a taste of Indian breakfast staples like thosai (savory thin pancake made from fermented lentil and rice batter), appam, and putu mayam (rice flour string hoppers). If you only have stomach space to sample one item, order the bowl-shaped appam, which is handmade fresh in an iron mini wok to achieve a crisp texture." - Charlene Fang

Taste heavenly, the curry is fragrant and light. Expect to queue a little but it’s worth the wait. They are usually fully sold out by late morning or just past noon. The masala Thosai and Appam are good. I have yet to try their other dishes.

I had never tried appam before, but I was intrigued by the brisk business at this stall, which had customers of different races waiting at the time of my visit. Besides, I was in the mood to try something new, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Princess Appam with an added egg for $5, paid fully with CDC vouchers. Each order was freshly prepared, and I waited around 10 minutes after placing my order. Upon the first bite, I understood why the stall is so popular. The crepe was crispy and tasty, reminding me of a French crêpe but with deeper flavours. It could be enjoyed without the curry and dhal sauce, though they did elevate the dish. I am certainly coming back to try the thosai next time.

To say I frequent Heaven's is an understatement. I go weekly. Sometimes, twice weekly. I have the same Princess Apam and a butter thosei. It is always good. Every single time. what's not so good is the queue system. There is 1 line to order, then move aside to wait for your order. For the sometimes chaos, the service is not so good. They could do with a better system of taking orders and track of them and who is in line. Perhaps, having a numbered queue system might be good. That said, they have never forgotten my order. We need to be patient and wait our turn. I love that the food is consistently good.

Heavens’ special (Royal Thosai and princess Appam) is a must - the Royal Thosai is filled with eggs, potatoes and cheese. Goes extremely well with the accompanied chutneys and curry which has a very nice spicy hit. The princess appam is also super delicious especially its crispy buttered sides with the indulgent cheesy center. Always a queue…but it is fast moving due to the efficiency of the stall owners. Best way to start the morning!

My favourite - The Royal! ($5.50) Must try if this is your first time. The Princess is equally good too - the only difference is the masala potato. Queue gets pretty long but food preparation is fast. It’s my go-to apam stall in Singapore!

We got the Royal thosei (with egg, cheese and masala) and 1 egg Appam. Both were delicious 😋 take note they sell out fast. We came at 12noon and they were sold out of Appam by a few customers after us. Shop closed ard 1230pm! So go early 😜

Perfect appams. I’ve been coming to Heaven’s for years. Their appams have been consistently very good and perhaps the best in Singapore. There is enough fluff in the centre and the sides are crisp and fragrant. Eaten with the sugar and freshly grafted coconut, it is just perfect.

The best thosai in Singapore. Really rather exceptional. Just go and eat the royal and you'll see. The queuing system is a bit intimidating first time but they are pretty efficient and nice, although it does take a long time to get your food.
