Our stay at Heber Senator bed and breakfast was lovely! The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. The menu-buffet style breakfast instead of a typical self-serve, continental breakfast buffet was a truly special touch. The food was delicious, hot, and served quickly! I really enjoyed the sweet crepes, especially the lemon blueberry and caramel apple, and my husband enjoyed the more savory options like the breakfast sandwich and meat lover breakfast burrito. The service was also amazing, the owner/chef was super friendly and also accommodating when my husband and I had to make a change to our stay. My only minor suggestions from our stay would be adding a full-length mirror somewhere in the room, and adding a little bit more space for bottles and cosmetics in the bathroom as there is no counter and the little glass shelf does not hold much. I think an additional small shelf under the mirror, medicine cabinet style mirror, or small folding shelf by right of the sink might be a good addition for a little more space. Overall, our experience was wonderful and my husband and I will definitely stay here again when we visit Park City, and I've already recommended this place to family members!

If you are looking for a fun getaway weekend this is the place! There is so much fun things to do in Heber, Midway, Park city and the canyon! The breakfast was amazing and everyone was super friendly! The room was clean and spacious with a great deep tub. My husband and I will definitely be going back

The senator was a beautiful and neat facility! The experience was seamless and convenient from booking to check out. We’ve stayed at historic b&b locations prior and you always wonder if the building is going to be grungy. No complaints! It was also quiet, which can be a struggle with a converted mansion. We stayed on the bottom floor and didn’t hear any noise from surrounding rooms. Breakfast was great, made to order! Steve, the owner, stopped and chatted for a few minutes while we were waiting for our food - and shared some of the history of the home, the original family, and the settlement of the area. Overall excellent experience. Highly recommend.

We had a very nice time at the Heber Senator. We loved the breakfasts. The savory and sweet crepes were all fantastic. The staff members were all very courteous and helpful. Some reviewers mentioned they could hear other guests from their rooms, but my wife and I didn’t hear a peep from other rooms, even though it seemed to be basically full. It’s a cool old home, huge for the time it was built. We stayed in maybe the least expensive room (the gold room), and it was very small. I’m sure there are some bigger ones, which are probably worth the additional cost. The home itself is beautiful and the yard is well kept; the surrounding neighborhood is not very nice, so we did evening walks elsewhere. Overall, we really liked staying here and had a great anniversary trip. We’d certainly recommend it, especially at the very reasonable price.

This was such a wonderful place to stay and an experience. Everything was fantastic. I gave everything 5 starts even though the only thing I wouldn’t give 5 stars on is the queen size bed and it wasn’t very firm, but it also was not uncomfortable - I personally like a bed that’s more firm and bigger but others who don’t need that will be comfortable! Everything is extremely well thought out and put together beautifully. The decor is phenomenal. We stayed in the Spa Room and loved it. Everything was quiet - you couldn’t even hear anyone in the rooms or the halls. Breakfast was amazing. A large menu to order from including sweet & savory crepes, breakfast sandwiches & burritos, eggs cooked any way, cereal, yogurt, toast, oatmeal, bacon, etc. and all made to order. A breakfast like this in a restaurant would probably cost $30-40 and it is included in the price. It was such a wonderful getaway. Our server was Lora who was so kind to us, very positive. The check in process was seamless and easy. My husband raved about the stay, the cleanliness, and the food. We will definitely be returning.

This was by far our most enjoyable stay at a bed & breakfast. The owner is personable, very accommodating, and a wonderful chef. A generous breakfast included many types of crepes, omelets, and other foods. On days when we had to leave before the breakfast hour (7:30 AM), the owner prepared sandwiches to go. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The entire house is tastefully furnished, and the overall ambiance is warm with many antiques. Our room had a comfortable bed, a mini fridge, an safe, and an old fashioned tub with modern plumbing. There is ample parking.

We had a wonderful stay at the Heber Senator Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in the Sundance Spa Suite & it was a beautiful room. We would love to stay in that room again. The breakfast was delicious! They had sweet & savory crepes, omelets & a variety of breakfast options. My husband & I loved it all. Especially the American crepe & the lemon blueberry crepe. You order buffet style so you can try multiple items from the menu. We can’t wait to go back! And the little community of Heber / Midway is darling. Lots of local restaurants and agriculture. It was fun to explore!

We loved our stay at Heber Senator B&B. It’s everything a B&B should be; beautifully decorated, historical, staffed by nice people who served an amazing breakfast! Their crepes and freshly baked muffins were excellent. We haven’t had crepes like that since Paris! We highly recommend it and will stay there again when we return to Heber City!

Yelp
This place reminds me of staying at your favorite aunt and uncles house. Or even your grandma and grandpas. It's so warm and welcoming, and waking up each morning to the cozy atmosphere is one of a kind. My boyfriend and I tend to get Airbnb or Hotels, but when we go back to Heber we will 100% be checking back into this place. The breakfast is phenomenal I might add. The character of this place and the comfort in which you feel to roam about is one of a kind. The host is PAUL and he's a MASSIVE reason for why we will return. He's so attentive and kind hearted and makes the stay so memorable. We felt like we knew Paul for 20 years and even though our stay was only 4 days we were really sad to say our goodbyes to Paul. Again this wraps up why it feels like you're staying with family. They have old school games there that actually require you to sit down, disconnect and enjoy. My boyfriend and I work in social media, so finding ourselves completely detached from our phones to do these fun mind twist activities was so so enjoyable. Just the whole place, so dreamy and I could go on for days. If you're someone who appreciates and values character and warmth YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE. Tell Paul Hi for us- and enjoy the stay.

Yelp
This bed and breakfast is very nice, especially when it costs about 2/3 of what a chain hotel would cost. The rooms are well kept and be the perfect place for a romantic getaway. As can be seen in the video it is from an older time but has all the amenities, to include internet, satellite tv and a power strip by the bed. Help was quick to respond if anything was needed. The breakfasts were amazing and were included in the price. I think the only thing that could possibly be improved was the tv signal kept lagging and freezing depending on the channel, but then again if you are staying in such a beautiful place, you probably aren't watching tv. Would definitely recommend and will stay again next time I am in town

Yelp
Bed and Breakfasts are too few in America. If you've never experienced one, take a staycation to Heber Senator. Here, vintage charm, en suite rooms, and a fabulous breakfast make for a getaway. The plus is connecting with a proprietor - and a chef - and learning a bit of history. Bnbs feel like home.

Yelp
Excellent little B&B in the heart of Heber. Reasonably priced and full of history. The rooms are all decorated nicely and still retain that 1902 feel with 2024 amenities. Stairs to the second and third floor are real and real steep. If climbing is an issue the ground floor is also wonderful. Christine served breakfast and it was amazing. The crepes alone made this a good choice. She was eager to visit and make us feel at home. The Senator Spa suite was beautiful. A third floor climb but truly well done. I honestly can't say enough about the Heber Senator Inn. It was a wonderful way to spend our anniversary.

Yelp
This BnB just screams with charm. From their incredible 1900's antiques, to the most incredible Eggs Benedict. The chef makes you feel welcome and his joy of cooking is not only tasted but seen on his plates. We will be coming back every time we come through Heber.

Yelp
Christine and Paul, run & keep a beautiful historical building '1902' for us to enjoy. It's kept clean & you feel welcomed when you walk in, with up to date amenities. Breakfast was delicious and homemade to order, great staff really friendly. It's located within walking distance, to shops and restaurants, an extra bonus but more importantly, they take care of you and make you feel very welcomed. I stayed in a single room but 2 could sleep in the cozy bed easily.

Yelp
My wife gifted me with a getaway to the Heber Senator Bed & Breakfast for Christmas, and this past weekend we were able to enjoy our stay. It's a lovely old 9,000 square foot home that has been turned into the most quaint and cozy little inn. The common areas and outside grounds are all immaculately kept, and you'll likely meet other guests or the owners at some point during your stay. That makes the experience even more personal-I love to get to know people! Our room had a large bathtub which we loved, and there were nice little touches all over: a few bath bombs, sparkling cider, chocolate and nice smelling lotion. It's obvious that the owners take pride in their place and want to make it as enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was also lovely-it's held in the common dining area and you can select from a menu to have your custom made meal. If you're a coffee drinker, there's a Keurig set out for you-I don't think a lot of folks in the area drink coffee, so it's not brought around to the tables. Overall, this is a fantastic little B&B, one that I'd recommend checking out if you want a taste of Heber City's history and culture.

Yelp
Excellent stay. Our room was amazing (stayed in the Senator suite) and had lots of extra touches including chocolates on the bed and cold sparkling cider. It also had a jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and efficient. A new favorite!

Yelp
This is a nice little cozy B&B very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was above and beyond. Seriously one of the best I have had in awhile. The owner was there to take our order and answer any and all questions we had not just about the B&B but also about Heber and offered ideas of things to do while in Heber.

Yelp
The Heber Senator is a historic house turned into a charming B&B near central Heber City. The space is nicely and thoughtfully decorated. All the staff there are amazing especially Christine (Manager), Alexa (Kitchen), and Debra (Housekeeping). I stayed in 2 rooms (Senator Suite & Sundance Suite) for 1 night each and enjoyed both nights. The other facilities are wonderful and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend it and plan on coming back!

Yelp
This place is awesome! We came here for our 2 year anniversary and it was a blast the host was really nice our room was fantastic the rest of the staff was really nice aswell And oh my goodness the breakfast was sooooo good the crapes are to die for !!!

Yelp
Would I recommend coming here? Yes My wife and I live in Utah Valley, and we wanted a weekend getaway and adventure. We loved the idea of a bed and breakfast and our visit here did not disappoint. Coming into the house and there were delicious cookies, clear written instruction, and everything was well lighted when we arrived at 8pm. The room had a great atmosphere and my wife and I were both excited as we saw the fun wall paper and cool decor. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. The server was warm, welcoming, and he had a knack to instantly connect with people. Funnest thing was afterwards I was curious about the rest of the rooms. A company called Snap Sale created a virtual tour of the entire home. It is well done and truly represents the beautiful home.

Yelp
Historic, warm and welcoming experience. If you appreciate learning about history in a beautiful home with warm people, you must stay here! Steve and Paige the owners of this incredible home are very interesting, warm and lovely people. The breakfast menu is extensive and there were several special off the menu items when we visited such as quiche that Steve makes himself. We stayed in the Tiffany Suite, a large comfortable room with antique furniture and tub. Steve gave us a personal tour of the house and history of Joseph R. Murdock who built the 9000 square feet 13 bedroom home in which he and his wife Margaret raised their 11 children. Steve and Paige are the most warm and wonderful hosts.

Ann E.

Yelp
The Heber Senator Bed and Breakfast is a small-town sparkling diamond. A pre-1910 private home with more than 10 bedrooms has been lovingly restored as a B&B with both suites and rooms at reasonable prices. We stayed in the Tiffany room on the third floor (definitely worth the climb!) with matching Tiffany lamps and light fixture. Even the pansy-portraying dollies were worth the climb. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Quilters, if the house doesn't impress you (and it will!), the 1880 crazy quilt by the owner's great-grandmother is a hand-crafted, detailed, piece of art with more different kinds of embroidery stitches than I thought existed. If you are anywhere near Heber City, do not miss this gem!

Yelp
For those who are traveling in the Salt Lake area, but don't want to endure the traffic and other hassles of Salt Lake, or just want to stay at a very reasonably priced place, the Senator B&B in Heber City, about 30-40 minutes east of Salt Lake is an exceptional place to stay. The Senator was built in 1902 by Utah state senator Joseph Murdock for his wife and 11 children family.  The 9,000 square foot house with a $1,000,000 restoration investment is lovingly and wonderfully brought to life by our hosts, Steve and Paige. Upon arriving at the Senator the first thing we noticed was the grounds were immaculate, the grass was a deep emerald green, the landscaping was meticulous. Upon entering the Senator we were immediately transported to a different time, the furnishings were late 19th Century.  Steve quickly and kindly greeted us.  We immediately started a very pleasant conversation, such is Steve's demeanor.  Since the Senator was not fully booked and since we checked in early, much to our surprise Steve offered us a free upgrade to a suite if we wanted it.  He gave us the key to our room and the upgraded suite.  Steve allowed us to explore our choices without an escort.  Both rooms were exceptional, but we chose the upgrade, there was a lot more room.  For dinner, Steve gave us several restaurant suggestions.  We had a very nice dinner at one of Steve's suggested restaurants.  The next morning, our made to order breakfast was quickly served, large quantities of excellent quality food, it was first rate. I'm a big eater and I was full when I left the turn of the century formal dining room table. Four additional thoughts.  First, the Senator is spotless.  No mold, no mildew, no bugs, no dust anywhere.  Second, the furnishing in the common areas and the rooms were wonderful, make sure you take pictures. Third, we drove to Heber from the south on Highway 15.  At Spanish Fork we took the Highway 189 split which took us directly to Heber.  Highway 189 took us through a stunning valley with the hills afire with the fall foliage colors. Fourth, Heber City, unlike high crime Salt Lake, is ranked as one of the safest cities in Utah so there is plenty of peace of mind. In short, the Senator is a wonderful place to stay.  You will be delighted by your visit.

Yelp
A historic mansion restored as a bed and breakfast. The rooms are comfortable and decorated for its era with modern plumbing and A/C. The owner and his wife are gems loaded, with history about the original owner and the area. The breakfast was made to order and superb. The inn was a great discovery and we will be back.

Yelp
Best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed in. Clean, beautiful rooms and breakfast that far exceeded my expectations. Would definitely go there again. The hosts made me feel comfortable and were very knowledgeable about things to do in the area
