Heidi’s Cafe

After a very easy self-check-in to the very centrally placed Heidi's Lodge, my friend and I were immensely pleased with our rooms! Our room had a view over the village center, and an enormous bathroom with a large bath and a walk-in shower. Breakfast was in the adjoining Heidi's Café where we were fascinated by all the doggy pictures photos and gifts - such a four-legged-friend friendly place! I really appreciated and thoughtful touches put into the vegetarian breakfast that included Glamorgan sausages and vegan black pudding. And the Illy coffee setup deserves the own special mention! Really friendly and helpful hosts!

I just love, love, love this place ❤️. I have stayed many times, and visited the cafe at every opportunity, and can honestly say that I just love it. The food is beautiful, quality, and fresh, at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is friendly always, and staff are just brilliant. The accommodation side is just perfect. 6 rooms all with their own character, 2 with open balconies - perfect for that afternoon wine overlooking the beautiful fells.. just superbly comfortable and relaxing 😌. I highly recommend Heidi's for cafe trip or a stay, you will not be disappointed. I just love, love, love this place ❤️.. Emma and the whole team are exceptional . ❤❤❤❤

We stopped off at this beautiful cafe Today for lunch, me and my Two children. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Food was beautiful and well priced. We will definitely be popping back when we come again. We'll done to all of your team, such a lovely atmosphere.

Location was perfect. The room was so cute. Loved the balcony. Breakfast was delicious. It was nice to get a coffee made by the café; this felt special, instead of just drip coffee. All the staff I interacted with were very kind. I would definitely stay here again if ever in Grasmere. Thank you!

Room 6, although up two flights of narrow stairs, is lovely. Large windows, nice bath (shower and tub) and spiral stair up to bedroom and roof top terrace. Cozy, quiet, romantic.

Always choose to stay at Heidi's as it never disappoints. Staff are fab, super friendly and always ready to help. Room is lovely and cosy, clean and supplies refreshed every day. Breakfast is delicious...haven't a negative thing to say 🙂 Thank you

I haven’t had the chance to visit Heidi’s myself yet, but I'm under strict instructions to write a review from my mum who came back raving about it. She said the staff were so friendly and helpful and loved the dogs of the week wall. The cafe had a warm and welcoming atmosphere as soon as she came in with her friends and food was delish. Definitely on the list for the next Lake District trip!
