Heidi’s Cafe

I’ve been a few times to this cafe now and I can’t explain how truly amazing the staff is more specifically Kelly the times I’ve been she’s been working and she’s so professional, not to overbearing to the point where it feels fake she’s the most genuine hospitality worker. I don’t leave reviews but I want the management to know they have an amazing staff member on their team. Craig was a truly amazing manager and it’s sad to see him go but if you have staff members like Kelly able to lead the team in ways I’ve seen then I think all will be ok . There was a leak in the roof via the light and she rushed into action and took care of it all and made all the safety precautions for all customers and I think that’s a truly great leader if I’ve seen one . Can’t wait to come back and see Kelly and Ro again they are balls of light and make the best coffees ❤️

Can't rate the rooms as didn't stop, but popped in for a bite to eat today. Staff very friendly and we received a warm welcome. Mugs of coffee were brill, soup in huge bowls and good choice for me as a vegan- vegan sausages lovely by the way. We left feeling super full. Would definitely come back here again- and will have to bring my dog as they're super dog friendly with their own doggie menu. Thanks for a lovely lunch team, keep uo the good work!

Best cafe in Grasmere, will be returning! Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating with my two little girls. The food was delicious, i recommended the soup! My dog Barney was treated like a king and given treats, he even had his photo taken and put up on the wall. Overall a lovely experience!

Wow! What a magnificent experience we had here , came in for lunch with my children and they got handed free Halloween lollys ! What a lovely gesture they were so excited and the young girl who handed these was just so lovely and kind to my chatty children. I knew it was busy and they had loads to do but she took the time to actually engage in their conversation. She made my 3 children very happy and I can’t thank her enough, What a lovely young girl. Food was amazing and the soup was 10/10 . We will be back on our next trip up

We stayed here last night! We had room number 1! Got here early on Sunday and it was pouring down so we decided to have lunch! Sausage butty and Cajun chicken sandwich!!! Delicious 😍 Our room was ready early so checked it approx 1:30! So lovely! Balcony and room was spacious! Bathroom had a bath and shower! And could log into Netflix! Perfect! Right in the centre! Breakfast this morning was spot on, my partner wasn’t feeling great so I asked if it would be possibly to bag his butty up! He enjoyed it in the way home! We will be back (possibly summer) thank you for a wonderful little night away from the busy lifestyle back in Leeds! Xx

After a very easy self-check-in to the very centrally placed Heidi's Lodge, my friend and I were immensely pleased with our rooms! Our room had a view over the village center, and an enormous bathroom with a large bath and a walk-in shower. Breakfast was in the adjoining Heidi's Café where we were fascinated by all the doggy pictures photos and gifts - such a four-legged-friend friendly place! I really appreciated and thoughtful touches put into the vegetarian breakfast that included Glamorgan sausages and vegan black pudding. And the Illy coffee setup deserves the own special mention! Really friendly and helpful hosts!

Words can’t describe how good the staff are here , I saw an interesting review on here and if I’m correct on the timing of this they conveniently left out that they were a big group of people coming to a cafe that clearly couldn’t accommodate and left in a huff and a puff while also being rude to a staff member when they clearly mentioned safety reasons that they couldn’t push multiple tables together and chairs. Hope these members of staff know they are truly amazing and made the atmosphere truly unforgettable and of course the amazing food. Hope the people who left those reviews feel ashamed and never step foot in a business again

What a wonderful cafe! After a wet hike to Rydal cave we strolled in to Grasmere and stumbled on this great place! Such friendly and welcoming staff who were genuinely helpful and caring. We appreciated how dog friendly it was in here and loved getting a pic of our pooches on the dog wall. Food was reasonably priced and substantial, great coffee too
