If you’re in Heidelberg, the Heiliggeistkirche is an absolute must. From the outside it’s striking—gothic architecture with red sandstone, soaring spires and a baroque roof that really dominates the Altstadt.
Inside, it’s calm and atmospheric. There’s a quiet beauty in its simplicity; large high ceilings, stained glass windows, just enough decoration to feel sacred without being overwhelming.
Definitely a place to soak in some history, architecture, and quiet — I’d return just to watch light playing through the windows
