11 Best Coffee Shops in Lisbon | Condé Nast Traveler

"Heim lives and breathes with the pulse of Lisbon. On slow afternoons, you're likely to find an army of remote workers camped out with laptops and lattés, but the mornings get so busy with brunch-goers that you might have to wait for a table. It's an adorable, light-filled cafe on a cobblestoned corner that couldn't be more quintessentially Lisbon, and it's owned by an adorable young Ukrainian couple who completely renovated the space and built most of the furniture from scratch." - Todd Plummer

Heim is a cozy, relaxed brunch spot tucked into the Santos neighborhood. Bright and welcoming, with an easy flow that makes you want to slow down and stay a while. The staff were warm and attentive, checking in without hovering and keeping things moving with ease. Everything felt relaxed but intentional. We had two flat whites made with their medium roast. I usually go for light roasts, but this one surprised me—in the best way. Smooth, balanced, and gently sweet, with milk that was perfectly textured all the way through. The almond croissant was one of the best I’ve had. Flaky, golden, and filled with a soft almond center that felt just sweet enough. Crisp on the outside, buttery all the way through, and thoughtfully made. Heim does brunch well. Great coffee, standout pastries, and a space that feels lived in but still fresh. It’s already on my list to return.

This small restaurant provides a straightforward and satisfying breakfast experience. The coffee is consistently well-prepared, and the breakfast menu offers a selection of reliable classics. The atmosphere is casual and functional, ideal for a quick and easy meal. It's a solid choice for those seeking a dependable breakfast and coffee without any fuss.

Solid brunch spot with a nice atmosphere. It was cozy, and tastefully decorated without trying too hard, the staff were friendly and we didn’t have to wait for a table. Food was nice, even if a little expensive (which I guess is typical for a brunch place in Lisbon), didn’t try the coffee though. A nice touch I appreciated was they brought water to the table as soon as we sat down, which is not common in Portugal unfortunately. Overall, just a cozy little brunch place, definitely a solid choice.

Absolutely loved this place! Cozy atmosphere, great service, and everything was very well organized. But the highlight was the lovely girl Anna — she’s truly a gem! So kind, attentive, and full of positive energy. She made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

Tried matcha for the first time and really liked it there!! The coffee shop was very tastefully decorated, the staff were kind, and the matcha was good! The only thing I didn’t appreciate is that when we were paying they explicitly asked if we want to pay the tip. For many people, when it is asked directly like this, it is hard to say no. So, it would be more polite if they just wait people to decide on their own. Because in other places, it is how tipping culture works, I honestly did not find this approach kind.

Lovely food, a bit pricier than some of the neighboring establishments but still good. Have to take a star out for the service as they forgot the pastry from my combo order and added a random euro in the total bill (maybe for water??). All in all still a nice spot for breakfast/brunch.

We came here on a Saturday morning right when it opened and there was no one yet. People started arriving around 9:30. The food was great especially the blueberry pancakes. The waiters were very friendly and reactive.

We are totally in love with this cafe. The food was delicious, the drinks were really good and the ambience was really cozy. We even like the branding. For us it was a perfect lunch! I hope there will be many people enjoying some food and drinks here!
